my wife is ready for her interview in ciudad juarez mexico but i dont have the original english translation that i first sent to uscis. Can i we use the photocopy i got at the interview or is original translation from the notary needed?

This is just temporary. I know is very difficult but you will laugh remember this days.

Remember you are not alone in this,we all understand your frustration and of course theres times when the relationship with your husband/fiance becomes strained.This is not a 'normal' courtship,we have to find ways to feel close through communication only.After disagreements theres no opportunity to hug and make up.....its hard,as humans we're programmed to need our SO physically. MEP Case Complete August 20th.
Received interview date on September 13th.
Interview date set for October 3rd in Juarez.
Time from case complete to interview date received = 3 weeks, 3 days.
I think we just missed the cutoff of interviews being scheduled in August, if the whole "second week of the month" thing is true. I did receive this date at the end of the second week in September. 2-4 weeks from case complete to interview sounds about average.

Got some great news today when i called USCIS today they are working on April 2 petions now as we speak, and that is the date my was recieved and that I will hear something very shortley, and hopefully all of u others too. Good luck everyone were finally moving forward.with VERMONT..

From my understanding its the embassies that give the interview slots to nvc so you are at the mercy of the consulate giving up interview slots. But ciudad Juarez is a big consulate and go through a lot ppl every day that's why I think the waiting time for interview in Mexico isn't that long. My wifes interview was about a month out also from case closed.

My case was closed at the NVC on Sept. 4 and I got the appointment today, Sept. 13.

Hi all, quick question about testimonies/affidavits that support our relationship. My mom, sister, and best friend (all USCs) have written and signed them in a format suggested by a VJer.
At this point, would it be OK to send copies of their signed forms in our I-130 packet? Or do we need to send the originals?

Well, CSC is very quick normally! So I'm sure the time will fly by and you'll be with your husband before you know it!

My NOA1 priority date is April 11th and I am waiting expectantly for the same relief. CONGRATS again!

Okay, so I think we'll be somewhere in between and send a variety of documents but as it is somewhat complicated for us to open another bank account in the next week just leave it with what we have. Thanks for all the advice guys! It's interesting to hear the variety of experiences here.

I took the screen shots right after the skype session and saved them on word document and yes i agree only 6 months back in the actual history thats why i kept a log of my own.

lol. Well, I hear that the people who have been calling in have been getting responses from USCIS that VSC is currently working on March 19, 2012. VJ seems to be a bit off apparently. It shows April 7, 2012 is what is being worked on presently. I hope VJ is more accurate than the call center (which is usually is); at this time, though, VJ only shows a few April filers actually approved. Only 3 recently were approved from regular processing. The other 2 seem to have been expedited or are a fluke. Anyways, while VSC seems to be slowing down, I know they are still chugging along. They have A LOT more petitions to work through over the next couple of months than they have in a while.

How do I get a police clearance letter/certificate? I called my local police department and they said they don't give them out unless we get an official request from the agency requesting it. Will I get this at some point in time?
Next, I sent in the payment for the AOS on August 2nd, 2012... will I be receiving a package following this payment? Or do we just send in all of the info according to the website? We are doing this with no lawyer but some legal consulting so I feel like I'm going to go crazy with paperwork and miss something super important.
Lastly, about how long (in your experience) does everything take after the AOS and IV Bill? Estimated time until the interview? My husband is originally from Mexico and we're going though a CR1 visa. Thanks so much for all the help!!

Yay! I fall under this category! I'm just happy to find others along the same timeline as me. Vermont is slower than other service centers so patience is a must. I've been coping by not thinking about it too much....until today.

I was surprised I heard so early and hope you get your good news soon! It's really difficult having to wait but good to know we are in this together.

We are June filers; got our NOA2 in August. Has anyone else that filed in June received a NOA2? I'm really surprised ours came so soon! Not complaining, I'm VERY excited--I just feel unprepared! Thank goodness for Visa Journey! Wondering if anyone else had a speedy experience as well?
