sunflower123 reacted to Sonjat in June 2012 I-130 Filers?
It come to my understanding that everyone who filed in August with Vermont got diverted.
Vermont is trying to catch up May, June and July.
I like for someone to post some good news.

sunflower123 reacted to The Mean Lady in National Processing Volumes
I saw someone post this in another thread and thought it was pretty cool.
Thought maybe other people might want to take a look at it too as I'm sure there's other not so smart people like me that didn't know it existed.
I've also been having fun looking at the different field offices.
Anyone up for a move to nebraska?

sunflower123 reacted to connormaria in Does International Marriage Certificate Need Translation?
My wife and I are beginning the CR1 process, beginning with the I-130 form. We were married in Spain and have a marriage certificate, issued from the Ministerio de Justicia, which we will apostille.
It is currently in French and Spanish, as it is an ¨international version¨, but also has a ¨translation guide¨ in English as well at the bottom and on the back.
My question is: Does it need to be translated?
Thanks,
Connor & Maria

I didn't realize this...well that makes me feel a little better. They should really say that they are working on May's applications, though, instead of May 14th. haha.

I apologize not having been clear in my writing. I will update my timeline when NOA 2 happens.
My purpose is to get a handle on the steps after I-130 approval.

sunflower123 reacted to Sonjat in June 2012 I-130 Filers?
I'm not in the NVC stage. I still wait for NOA 2. I just hope and try getting my mind wrapped around what needs doing.
Hopping to still accomplish everything in December.
I was told not to wait for NOA 2 to be mailed (often 10-20 days). Just to give NVC a call after I-130 approval. They would provide me the case number.

sunflower123 reacted to Darnell in Extra Evidence and Photo-books for NVC
Please understand, it's different for IV units that are listed as 'high fraud' - so what works for Manila IV doesn't necessarily work for Accra, Lagos, Guangzhou, Cuidad de Juarez, Islamabad, Casablanca IV units.
fwiw, nothing is thrown in the trash - it's all added to the casefile at NVC.
see bleuawolf - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/267559-usa-is-now-arizona/page__view__findpost__p__4100571 for the scoop.
Be Good !! (or something... if you can't be good, don't get caught, aye?)
Yup, works the same way for electronic processing at NVC. You scan em, YOU email them in to NVC. You'll have some fun, though, as you're gonna create PDF files from the photos...

sunflower123 reacted to onye uwaoma in Extra Evidence and Photo-books for NVC
Charlesandmerie, the OP is asking for someone with experience about how these additional evidences are being handled at NVC... Did you have experience of what you just commented or you were speculating? Well, for the fact that DS230 allows you to submit additional evidence of ongoing relationship means that what you have just posted lacked expertize... Workers at NVC are well trained to understand the importance of every piece of evidence you submitted and they place it in your case file... The only reasonable thing to worry about is whether they can missplace a document, which in itself can happen unintentionally... When you sarcastically suggest NVC destroys documentary evidence because it's well detailed far more than the mere academics, you didn't sound professional... Now, Debbie remember to make a replica copies of everything you send to NVC including photo evidence and make a cover letter stating all items included in chronological order... The cover letter makes the work easy for whoever that's reviewing your package to locate the items he/she needed without stress... You know this is what I have done and it was great!
P.S DS230 allows you to send in unlimited documentary evidence... You can review the instruction if you're not too sure... Wishing you the best of luck, Debie

Just filled the e-request. Computerized, tells me my processing is still within their timeline. My PD is June 12th.
Nice to know I'm at least in their computer system.

sunflower123 reacted to pushbrk in Is my income enough?
Your 2011 tax return reflects your past income. When stating current income, you state what you will make for twelve months going forward, based on your "current" income today. You could have made 50,000 last year and lost your job last month. If so, your current income might be zero. Conversely, you could have made nothing last year and took a new job last month for 50,000, making your "current income" 50,000.
If it's just the two of you and you can document $25,000 in current income, you don't need a joint sponsor.

sunflower123 reacted to hamigirl710 in Is my income enough?
ALSO:
Do you currently have the same income for 2012? They will look at 2011 taxes but will also look at what you are currently earning and they will want to see you are consistantly making enough money above the guidelines.

sunflower123 reacted to Darnell in will I be denied......
all that stuff mentioned above, it's BEST to get it into the casefile, the I-130, on I-130 submittal into USCIS.
Not do that? you have another chance at NVC with the DS-230.
Bringing it on interview day is hit or miss, the Consular Officer is busy , cannot make time to review the 10 inches of evidence you not submit prior.
Submit it prior to interview day, USCIS or NVC? The Consular Officer SEES it before interview day, as the entire casefile that's been gathered up at USCIS and NVC is in their office for a few weeks prior to interview day.
Good Luck !

Congrats Cesar & Cata!!
Hopefully we will be hearing something in the next few days. Our PD is June 4th!!

Looks like I should try again!

sunflower123 reacted to bsd058 in June 2012 I-130 Filers?
The timelines don't move. A timeline is updated when a member is given NOA2 or has some sort of contact with USCIS or NVC or the consulate.
The processing times are updated when the members of the forum update their timelines, and these produce an estimated average processing time. These change because when individuals update their timelines they give new information to the average processing times, and new information usually changes the average of those processing times.
The processing times move backwards and forwards depending upon how quickly VJ members are approved.

I guess this thread has traction now, I'm June 8th. I had started different one for us vsc filers since csc was going so fast. By now it looks like its only us that are June and still waiting.
Hope we get approved soon really hate seeing aug and sep apps approved before ours.
