It's a good story. The begining and middle are a little soft but it seems like the ending brings it all together.

After a week of wondering and questioning our interview, we got APPROVED!!!

Both scenarios are legal. My only concern for you would be in scenario 1, because if you tell them at POE that you intend to marry but not stay, they might not believe you. Then you get turned away and have to try scenario 2. As long as you're prepared for that, I'd go with scenario 1.

Mcbsimon has it right. The other comments don't demonstrate even the basics of the understanding on this issue.
I know people mean well, but this this false outrage and overbearing cautiousness is a common occurrence when people start a thread in another forum, and ill-informed people get "mad" and start lectures.
People adjusting from another visa don't need to show "extra" bona fide marriage. That's ridiculous. Every case needs to be bona fide; that's like saying it's okay for K-1s to be fraud.

Just be prepared, there are many folks on here that will tell you it is "illegal", "immoral" or "wrong" to file in this manner. Just be forewarned and prepared. Under the forums there is a sub forum for those AOS'ing from visitor visa's, VWP etc. This forum may be easier and yield you less of the negative information.

OK...I don't care if I get thread banned. Cases like this are the reason immigration is so difficult for people with BONAFIDE marriages and relationships to get through this broken system of ours. I will be the one to pass judgement. You just withdrew a petition for K1, now you're in "love" with a woman who has barely been married on a k1 to a different man and you want advice from those of us who would do anything to have our SO with us??? Those of us who have done everything legally, who love and miss our SO. Who have been separated for months, some couples for years. Couples like my husband and I, who did everything by the book,went through the entire process start to finish only to be told that we are in the black hole of administrative processing, we have to wait until the process is done. It has already been 2 months since we have been put in AP, and it could be months and months more before his visa is issued, we just don't know. We have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on travel expenses for me to go to see him every 3 or 4 months just so we can spend a few weeks together as a married couple in the same country, countless hours on skype and msn, phone and texting. the list goes on and on. I wouldn't trade one minute of it, because my husband and I know in the end we WILL be reunited, that we have a real and true marriage and we love each other, and that all of the stress and pain and worry of being apart will have been worth it. Your whole story is a hot mess and exactly the reason it is so difficult for the rest of us. I said what a lot of people here are thinking. Sorry for the rant people, I am just so tired of reading these stories, I really really am.

No, certain people from certain countries are much much more likely to be scammers. I would REFUSE to receive any correspondence from anyone from these countries unless I had lived there and met them in person or something. I'm sorry but, don't "meet" someone online and expect romance-film love. Spend lots of time with them, "real life" time, not time where you're both vacationing somewhere and it's a near honeymoon.
And yeah, before you all point out how much of a racist/xenophobe/unfair person I'm being, I filed a 129F before for an Australian guy who I found out (thankfully before we got to the embassy stage) that he was in it just for the chance to live in the States, and of course his country is not high fraud at all. Of course there are plenty of folks here who've only spent a few days or weeks with their significant others and have good relationships, but come on, pay attention to red flags. Chances are against you.
