What is the resident since date on your Green Card?

Go to USCIS site for N400 online application.

It will lead you through a series of questions, at the end of which it will let you know if you qualify or not.

I just submitted my N400 formed and paid 710 $

We are in the same boat with SSN and we were also told to just go in person. My husband arrived in June and we still don't have his. To get his GC we created a new account with USCIS and he sent a message. They sent the GC within a week. As far as a job he finally found one that would allow him to work while he waits for the SSN. Typically they need a letter from SSN stating this is an issue in their end but he is still eligible for one.

Wow, how did you get your GC in time, I have created a an account as well and I do check every day, its been 59 days since it was paid for

If you applied for your SSN in the DS260 you don't need to apply again in-person.

Both GC and SSN can take 120 days.

Yes I did applied for both, but I am finding it hard to get a job as they are wanting my SSN in other to offer me a job, The e-verify I don't understand how that works with the employer, please advice

My husband, a Russian citizen, got his IR1 visa this past July and we came to the US on August 1st. He got his ssn in the mail and is even getting his driving learners permit next week. He has not gotten his greencard yet though. However, he is still a university student and we were hoping his classes would be online this semester but it seems they will be in person, meaning we must go back to Russia in the first week of September. The next chance to come back to America may only be next year in May/June, once he graduates. Would he be able to re-enter the US with his IR1 visa after being away that long? Does anyone know if there would br any repercussions?

How long did he take before he got his SSN ?

If you’re under 26, don’t forget to sign up for Select Service.  Important if you later apply for citizenship

I am 46 years old, thank you so much for the help.

The endorsed visa in your passport serves as a temporary green card while you wait for the card in the mail. Some of your next steps could be getting a SSN, getting a driver's license, applying for jobs...

Thank you so much. I appreciate the help, I will do just that

I have my interview tomorrow at Nepalese Embassy. I am really nervous, I don't do very good in interviews in general. If anyone has some words of advice or wants to share thejr experience, that will help a lot. Thanks in advance.

There is no need to be nervous, Look straight into the eye of the co and answer the question, 8 of 10 questions is a pass
