I highly doubt they will let you wait in immigration area, they aren't the most charitable government agency. Kennard I was kind of thinking I would do what you said, basically I will give her her cell phone when in Philippines or mail it to her so when she lands she will have a phone to use in the US. I do see the point of flying there and bringing her back, but then same would go for interview and everything else she will do in life and she's going to have to learn it eventually. I think meeting at POE would be a middle ground.

It looks like a good amount of people are getting a visa this week. I'm glad to see that. I wonder if you could expedite a visa on the grounds you are going mentally insane waiting. I've read that you can only have one expedite request and no appeals so I'm not sure if it is just one request period or if you can request like in 10 different ways. Really the whole process is kind of stupid, it would make more sense if they gave tourist visa in the mean time and if you screwed that up you could never get residency or anything. The system seems quite flawed, but sometimes that works to your advantage if you work with those flaws. Like taxes!!! 250 days just sounds like a long time, I feel as if I haven't even lived that long. They say what ever doesn't kill you makes you stronger, not enjoying the muscles getting bigger this time.

Don't worry about it, if they ask tell them. If they don't ask don't tell them. Someone I know made up a social security number and they didn't even ask about it. It really depends who you get, if they're having a good or bad day. But always tell the truth!

Ok I'm glad I'm reading this. It seems most people wait and wait and wait until they can't wait anymore and then they start being unhappy irritants. Has anyone ever tried writting a letter every week, something polite maybe some additional information. After reading this I certainly plan on doing that when I know for sure I'm vermont and have a number. Maybe even a nice box of chocolates... Honestly I already am on board for a year process, but a letter every once in awhile written in a way it might make someones day feel worth while might help. I know when I'm at the DMV I have some work to do to get them over with all the other ####### that get mad at them for doing their job, and I look through their eyes and complain about what I would if I had their job. I'm going to feel about the same at 30 days as I am at 190 days though. I have no patience, but I think of the plus side and enjoy my single life while it lasts.

If you're here asking about it then I think you've got some serious problems with that alone. You're from totally different cultures, if you aren't prepared to deal with that you probably shouldn't be having the kid in my opinion. Honestly I would do the same thing if I got a girl pregnant in another country, I would be smart about it though and be nice to get the kid here and then be done with her. I find it funny that he thinks the kid will be better off in Jamaica but plenty of people might think that about the US so that's just the way the world works. You have a lot of thinking to do because there are probably a lot of options still. Internet forums aren't usually the best place, church, therapist, pretty much anywhere else really.
