  1. The cable and DSL will be on 2/16/06 (the bill will be in both our names in the sake of AOS) so I will be back online on a more regular basis. I am gonna call tomorrow to see about getting the home phone back on. I thought I could survive with just my cell but that is definately not working.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. I am still trying to line up a church and officiant for the wedding on the 25th. My taxes will be signed later today and sent in so I will have that money to fall back on soon enough. That is also what we will be using to fund the AOS process.

Tashi is doing well. He did have a homesick breakdown a few days ago he shed a few tears and then got back to normal. I dont ever want him to feel like he made a mistake coming here and I told him if he ever started feeling that way to let me know and I will send him home.

    Blessings,

    Rita

I really need to update our picture....I look so much thinner now...infact Tashi called me a "crackhead" because he says my face is "straight" now with no fat padding LOL

Rita did you consider having yout home phone, cable, internet, cell all in one...I don't have it..but I hear it's pretty popular. and only about 100-150$ a month.

Hopefully Tashi will get to feeling better. David is still adj well. The other day he was telling me about his overwhelming sense of happyness he says he has. It felt good to hear. He no longer feels we need to move to LA. He talked to a friend of his who told him that his brother, who is also from Ja is leaving California because It's so expensive to live in that part of the country, so now, because maybe cause it came from a man, he feels that it's best we stay where we are for now

My children will not be attending our wedding, they claim like they do not want to miss school.

Squitto's == So, so, so sorry you guys got stuck in NY. I've been thinking about you guys all weekend. Best laid plans, huh? I really hate to ask but what are you going to do now?

Dee -- What are your plans for tomorrow?

    '

Nothing big, He and I, the minister, my sister, the photographer, and an I do at the Pilgrams chapel. It will all be over in less than 25mins. Then we are off to spend the night at the elms Resort and spa. Then driving down to Little Rock Ar. to see my mother/ family for the weekend they have not met David.

I'm sitting here like I have nothing to do. frown icon.

Everyone have a good day, We are going to pick up the tux and put rims/tires on D's new car...Did anyone get the picture I sent. Well I'll send it again.

  2. Anna I hope you get to feeling better. I'm going to have to have my mine pulled soon.

Wow Jamie!!! I think that was pretty fast. Congrats I cannot wait,I am so ready for David to start some kind of job, so that there is not so much pressure on me. I'm about to have a nervious break down... I think I have been working for the last 14 days straight. I'm off for the next 6 days, Thankgoodness!!!!!

Tomorrow is our big day!!!..I'll take some pic with our digital cam, the Squitto's are in vegas, she usually up load them for me, So I'm not sue if I will be able to put them on the site but if not I will email to the email address I have. We'll be done about 1045.

Land phones..I never answer mine. I'm getting to the point where I do not even answer my cell phone, but I just came to the realization that my nerves are getting so bad I avoid interaction with others.

I was just getting ready to add..I hope the Squitto's are in Vegas. I'm sorry...

We found a fresh fish market this weekend. Smile icon.

  3. This new format is confusing....I cannot figure out how to reply to a specific comment.

Anyways... Rita I'm not sure which bills to put in their name...But I plan to start with the utilities, our bank account and the apt lease. We were assinged a SSN but have not gotten the card in the mail. I plan to start the process in a couple of weeks tho.

Rhonda: We are both rule under the same star, he's always telling me.. so I know better than to try to teach him anything, He knows how to drives he's just being bullheaded  The other day he ran a stop sign on purpose on a not so busy street I bout died. He was laughing  Experience will surely be his teacher...No one was coming he added :( Our insurace almost doubled whe I added his car...he assures me that we will not be getting tickets  Today was a good day he drove me around while I did my nursing visits. I didn't have to yell once ;)

  4. WOW Anna congrats on the weight loss!!!!

    Joanna congrats on your NOA2!!!!

I am here! I agree we need something to chat about...I am literally falling asleep here at work. No big weekend plans...just watching the big game on sunday.

Hey Rhonda how crazy is detroit? I hear its amazing how many people are there.

Yeah, Detroit is home of the SuperBowl this year  That's all you hear about on the news all day long for the past couple weeks! They have a big winter festival going on downtown all week too. There are concerts and parties and all kinds of festivities. I don't know if we'll be going down there or not. Just to park your car is anywhere from $20 to $30 and up! :o We have other things we need to do with our money right now! I'm not a big football fan and neither is Tony, but I watch parts of the game to see the cool new commercials that come out. The commercials during the Superbowl cost about 2 million $$$ for like 30 seconds or something crazy! :o

That's all I watch to are the commercials and to see if there are any wardrobe malfunctions :lol:

    Good afternoon all!!

I'm heading to the PO to drop off my Save The Date cards for our big wedding this summer. Planning a real wedding is nooooooooooo joke, but I"m so excited about it :P

In other immigration related news, Squito finally received his social security card in the mail this morning. He never received it the first time because our address was inputted incorrectly.

Glad he got his card. I just told one of my friends that I don't see how people handle planning big weddings. Ours was as small as one can get, and I was pulling my hair out. So I bow to you and all others that have huge weddings.

  5. Also,it's taking too long for him to get over his cold/flu...One more day and I am taking him to the hospital..he gets better during the day then it comes back at night...he all of a suddens starts the hiccup thing and spikes a temp????I', I am a nurse and I have never seen anything like it. I want my man BACK!!!

Everyone have a great weekend...I start my new job Monday on the Mother Baby unit...I'm sort of excited. Maybe I can quit the weekend job.

  6. Good evening all (F)

Rhonda sorry to hear about Tony's loss.

Rita Congrats: My children's father backed off when I told him we were moving to LA. It's it's great to see them bonding...My daughter is older so it harder for her.

We had the Chicken recipe for dinner last night, it was the best.

May be we should try and get a visitors visa for David's daughter???? Because the mother refuses to help with the birth certificate issue and we are not there. I' m not sure she can even help  I don't know how much time we have left. The mother keeps calling fussing about how she needs money for this and money for that. David's uset because he left 2000$ US in the bank thinking that would hold his daughter for a few months, well at least two, until he starts working.. she claims the money's gone  I don't mind sending money but he refuses to right now because he thinks she's lying. His daughter is crying on the phone all the time..It makes him feel so bad.

We are going to mail her christmas gifts and send a care package for her but David is afraid that it may cost to much for them to pick the items up....anyone know about how much we could send without it cost them an arm and a leg to pick up?

We had our first argument..the cause...Driving!!!!He can drive but he is so aggressive... I now have to lean back so I cannot see ...He scares the living hell out of me.... He dosen't know what it means to yeild and he always has the right away  SO he got mad at me for screaming at him.

  7. does anyone know approximately how long it takes for a permanent resident (not yet citizen) to file for his/her spouse? just curious.

I'm not sure how long but it does it a very long time. They always say it's better to wait but you can also look on the timeline at the service centre you would be going thru. Residents can file for their spouse.

    Good Morning,

Just wanted to pop in to tell you all the good news. My Grandmother had her interview in Kingston this morning and was granted w/a 10 yr tourist visa!! I am so happy.

Congrats  That's awesome. Aren't they pretty hard to get? We want Tony's kids to be able to come here and visit when they get a little bit older. Would they have to get the tourist Visa also? I wonder how hard that will be

I always thought applying for kids are a lot easier then grown adults but I can be wrong or maybe it just seem that way to me. I had to send her an invitation letter (purpose of her trip) and my employer letter to show I can am financial respons. She's suppose to get the visa tomorrow so she's staying in Portmore tonight w/my cousin. She had to show ties to JA.

I'm tired of chicken...but that sounds good!!! I need to try to make it that way.

This post thing is confusing me.. How do you reply to a specific post with out all the others reshowing up??

  8. Anna: Congrats!!! Enjoy the free time with your daughter, and your Grandma's Viso get a, just in time to be here for the wedding.

Rita: Goodluck with the custody battles, I could not imagine..., glad you and Tashi are doing well.

Puppies cute...yea they are a lot of work, David complained that I keep our dog in the kennel too much the min. he pooped in the house..he understood, If he cannot be watched he has to stay in the kennel!!!! He loves the cat...We are going to get birds this week.

Davids not feeling any better last night he was dripping in sweat, but still complained of being cold, he was burning up. The hiccups are now off and on. I haven't had any "do" in three days cho!!
