    Today (right now), when I track the passport staus by sending an email to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com it says - The current status of your passport is In Transit From Post.

    So I assume that the passport is dispatched from the Embassy and its on its way from Mumbai to Ahmedabad. I hope to receive it tomorrow. Will update my timeline once I receive my visa.

    Hi,

    My CR1 interview was on 7th November and I got APPROVED!!!

    I reached the Embassy by 6.40am and there were many people already waiting. At 6.50am 2 persons came from Embassy and asked us to form 2 seperate lines (Immigration and Non-Immigration).

    I was 7th in the line and then they asked us to move in the embassy. First comes the security check, any types of bags are also not allowed only plastic bags are allowed in which you can keep our folders, etc. Then you move ahead and they give you a token number. Then you wait for your token number to be displayed on the monitor.

    The first interview was taken by the Indian officer. He asked for my birth & marraige certificate copies and asked few basic questions like...what does my husband do, is this my and my husband's first marraige, etc

    Then he asked me to wait and after 45 mins or so my token number was again displayed and this interview was with an American lady. She asked me few questions like when did i lsat see my husband, when we got married, where did we go for honeymoon, where did we stay, what does he do, etc. Then she asked me to provide joint sponsor as the income on 2011 tax return was less. So i gave my husband's CPA's letter where it was mentioned the earning of my husband and I gave the explanation that my husband is self employed as property developer and in 2011 he was developing a property and all the earnings were used in developing the property. She made a note of everything and said that I accept your explanation followed by - Congratulation!! Your visa is approved and you will get your passport in a week.

    I came out and towards the exit there a premium service desk where I paid Rs 300 so I can get the passport delivered at my home instead of picking it up. The interview was very easy and simple and I was out of the Embassy by 9.10am.

    firstly i want to thank all of u for ur support and help ....

    i have one question ...

    i have been approved .. from mumbai consulate ...

    but i need to know how much time do they actually take to deliver the passport .

    i had my interview on tuesday ... can i expect it to b delivered by friday ?

    plzz help on ASAP basis as i need to book my tickets... :help:

    Any updates on your passport, did you receive the passport with visa?

    do we really need to 20 days?

    hello everyone!

    I have heard somewhere that we have to wait at least 20 working days after sending IV package to NVC for case to be completed! Is that really true..... I am quite anxious about the waiting period! Please clarify this to me my lovely VJ family.

    First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    I have seen maximum 5-6 working days after the new process came into action. I would suggest to book for next week's end to be on safer side.

    My interview is on 7th November and I have booked the tickets for 7th working day evening. I hope this helps.

    You can also call DOS or VFS helpline to find the status of your passport, also update your timeline when you receive the visa. Thanks.

    Approved I got my visa on hand

    Reached center at 6:45 there was a long que

    7:00 Around 7 we were asked to move in ( just keep interview appointment letter handy)

    7:10 Got my token no I was A216

    8:05 Indian lady (age 25-30) called my name though token displayed was A210 on counter 9

    1. Who's calling u?

    2. Where does he stay in states?

    3. Give me your medicals?

    4. Is this first marriage was both of you? This was a trick question as this is second marriage for on of us...

    5. Returned me my additional documents and originals

    ( I was not asked to submit any docs as we had submitted everything)

    Lady asked me to sit for the second interview

    8:15 I was caled by an American officer counter 11

    I got my visa yesterday I had opted for pick up option so I got it collected from BKC center yesterday...

    The yellow envelope is sealed one (NOT TO BE OPENED)

    After reading your post i feel very very very relaxed, as we also have the same situation. This is 2nd marraige for him and first for me (beneficiary). I was under impression that this could be a reason for denial..but now i feel good after reading your post that there are cases like mine which were approved. :D

    in Ustraveldoc website i select the pick up location. But in Fiance visa we didnt get any registration confirmation print out(barcode one) bcos we pay the visa fee at the time of an interview so we can't pass the step 8 about payment option but at that time VFS Team said that as long as you add the pick up address that would be fine.

    As far as I am aware you need to submit that printed copy where the pick up location, your passport number, name, barcode, etc detials are mentioned so they can deliver the passport at your pick up location and then you can pick it up from there.

    Does anyone know if Delhi interviews are booked for this year? I know for sure October is booked and noticed on some ones timeline there spouses interview was the end of November...So plz every little helps....

    And where do people go to find out is there some site to see if the interviews have been booked?

    November scheduling is done. From case complete to interview date it can range between 5 weeks to 8 weeks of time. NVC generally schedules around 2nd week of each month for next month. So if NVC is scheduling in 2nd week of November they will be scheduling interviews for December.

    I agree with what you say.I have my interview date on 1st oct.And Ahmedabad VFS center is not accpeting documents.Told us to register our self and have print of that on the day of your interview.But I am facing the same problem...And priority date is the date when your petition was filed.http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/glossary/glossary_1363.html#priority............visit this you will get all glossary terms here.

    Visa is Ready for Pick-up

    Our visa journey is almost totally over. I just got a text from 2Go saying my visa is ready for pickup at the 2Go branch we have chosen. It's been just 3 days since my interview. God is sooo amazing! :-)

    All that's left for me to do now is pick up my visa, go to CFO for my sticker and go to the airport with my dear hubby.

    Thank you to all VJers who have answered my questions, given me encouragement, and shared so much helpful information! :-)

    Congratulations!!!!

    I hope i also get approved and get visa in 3 days so can be with hubby soon. :D

    i am trying that one everyday too and got the reply said PLEASE ENTER VALID PASSPORT # i dnt get it why it is not showing any activities eventhough i tried to send the passport # in different way like capital letter and all different way but still no result!!!!!

    but i confimed that passport # is right because when we call to VFS they ask passport # and they can pull the right info for us.

    I just tried sending an email with my passport number and it shows "The current status of your passport is Ready For Pickup" where as my Interview is yet on 7th November. I do not understand how it can be ready for pick up.

    I suggest to visit the pick up location tomorrow again to find out the status, who knows it would be lying there for pick up.

    When I tried again it shows "Please use a valid passport number or UID"

    Hello all

    My fiance has an interview on 5th oct at Mumbai Embassy and the officer said it will take 4 business days to get his passport and today is 12th day after interview and we still didn't get passport and visa.

    i called DOS and they said that he got visa (thats good to know that our case is not under AP) but they can't track passport. :bonk:

    me and my fiance usually called to VFS every other day to find out for passport but got the same reply that it is still in Embassy. :wacko::wacko:

    My fiance also went to nearest VFS office to find out but they also said the same reply that they don't have it when it will be ready we will get notification. :huh::huh::huh:

    Passport track link doesn't work for my fiance when i enter his passport # it says ENTER VALID PASSPORT # :bonk::bonk:

    does anybody have the same issue like we do????? :help::help::help:

    Please send email to <passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com>. Subject line and body only thing you would write is Passport number then hit send. within five minutes you will know where your passport at. Also, let us know what do you get as a reply.

    For those of you, who had emailed the DS-3032 (Choice of Agent) to NVC, do you recommend emailing this to NVC by using the Email template given on the Visajourney? or should I print the barcoded FORM emailed to me by NVC, filling it out with pen, scanning it and then emailing this FORM back to NVC? Thanks.

    I used the email template given on this webite and also attached the scanned copy of the form.

    Ahmedabad applicants who got PCC without checklist letter?

    Why does Ahmedabad PSK have to make life difficult??? Why can't they just issue a PCC using the interview appointment email? I have the K1 interview appointment email and they want some checklist from the consulate that no other states in India want. I haven't been issued the checklist.

    Ugh! Please share experiences!

    There are 2 PSKs in Ahmedabad. If you go to Vijay Char rasta PSK then they will ask for all the documents that dont even exist. I went to Mithakali PSK and they even issued PCC without interview letter and checklist, they issued it on the basis of NOA2 approval copy.
