Although the ban has been rescinded, the combination of first the Covid shutdowns in mid March and then the ban means that there has been a big backlog built up. Some people who had been originally scheduled and cancelled for March 2020 are still waiting for reschedule, not all embassies have reopened for F2 either. So it is partly embassy dependent but you can pretty much bank on the fact that there are around 6 months worth of DQ cases in front of you in line to be scheduled, even if the embassy concerned has restarted interviews. Whether or not they take shorter or longer than 6 months in real time to get through that depends on their capacity etc.

Your i130 first has to be processed, then approved and sent to NVC, then you submit documents, and only once the case is documentarily qualified (DQ) will you be in line for an interview.

As far as you were not married she was your live in girlfriend at most fiancée so no issues here....as stated above be forthcoming about it include a letter describing the relationship if you think its necessary and include proof of relationship....I understand the reason you want to bring this to light is to prove that you both have been in a relationship for a long time to help here immigration case.

Just to clarify, she is F2A category and can qualify for a F2A visa. CR1 is a visa category for spouses of US citizens.

As long as there was no formal marriage etc it doesn’t matter how long you two lived together “as” a married couple, if you were not married that is fine. You will clearly have plenty of proof of a bona fide relationship which will help your application.
