  1. Your case is not that serious so please don't waste any money on a lawyer just yet. Like I said keep calling USCIS. I know that they make a note everytime we called but at least that will force them to do or tell you something with the case. You can also do an infopass at another office, not just the one you had your interview at...

Is that true I can do info pass at another office??? coz i been trying to make info in Santa Ana no appointment available...

Just trying to be more patient and I'll just use my EAD to appky for SSN and hopefully get a job soon..

Been depressed and frustrated these past few days as I wanna visit my family back home :crying:

  2. Try to have your lawyer do his job as well that's why you hired him to work on your case. And yeah call the USCIS every now & then

My lawyer said If he have to follow up the case i have to make another payment coz i just hired him to be with us on the day of interview and thats it...My thoughts is thats why I hired him so anything happened after interview he can follow up..but I guess Im wrong :crying:

I don't know if I can still afford to hire him again... :(

  3. They usually don't.

This is usually what happens when they need to do additional checking to be able to confirm you. The I-130 (not I-30) was approved because that has nothing to do with the GC itself, it just means the petitioner is approved for sponsoring you.

The I-485 will remain in testing and review until they are done reviewing your case. The interview isn't necessarily the last step. Always keep that in mind.

yeah it just weird that he handed me that paper with the date of Sept 10 approval for adjustment of status....

..if he need more docs/evidence at least he should've send me RFE.. talked to the lawyer said dont worry coz IO said were approved and maybe my name check is not done yet and wait 2mos or make info pass...well, whatever cant do anything right now but back to waiting game. :crying:

sometimes I wish IO didn't give us approval on the spot and the piece of paper is useless if he just hang me like this without knowing the reason :crying:

  4. Hello all,

I haven,t been here for the longest time. Kids started school, I started to work. Been so busy. Hope everyone is well.

I had my interview it was fast, no question whatsoever about my marriage, only question why did I leave the country 7 years ago and abandoned my green card!?!

Anyway she approuved my marriage, no doubt about that but said that they just had a training and that they are not suppose to give a green card a second time. So she went to check with her supervisor, made me wait for 5 long minutes and then said she will approuved the marriage but the rest was out of her hand. Up to her she would give it to me again but as they have some discretion about that she needs to have a full approval on top of her. But she said it should be fine but she coudn't risk to tell me it was ok 100%. What to think about that?

Online status say I 130 approuved but I 485 testing and interview..........

Did the IO handed you any paper?? my I-485 still in testing and review however I-30 is approved..

hope your some good news soon

  5. your passport stamp should have been sufficient enough....

If they try to say they need your I_94 (in which they shouldn't), you can FOIA your records

and those records show what day you came in / POE / I-94 # etc... The only thing is it takes

about 3-6 months to get it.

Let me know how it goes, as I am preparing my packet. I just hope that they accept my FOIA records

as proof of entry and am going to try and apply for a replacement using the FOIA info too.

IO didn't ask for more docs to submit and don't say anything about my lost i-94 he just asked me if I didn't file for replacement and I said No and he just checked on the system and legible passport stamp from POE...

all i got is welcome letter from IO and approval notice for I-30...so i don't know why its taking long to order my GC... :(

    Goodluck to you....

  6. You'll get yours soon! My interview was on 9/13 and I wasn't approved on spot. He said he was recommend my case for approval but it needed to be reviewed first. The next day there was an online update saying that they approved my I-130. On Sept 17 I got an update on I-485, also approved. On Sept 20 - card production, and today an update saying that USPS picked up my Green card and I should receive it in 7 days!

    Hang in there! (F)

But my interview is Sept 10 its been 11 days and no card production yet....if they need something at least let us know

this is sooo frustrating and depressing :crying:

  7. If you got the welcome letter it means that the "approval" button was pushed. It's possible the online update isn't working (which is common) and the GC will just arrive in your mailbox.

yeah but i don't get the welcome letter in the mail the IO handed me after he shook our hands and said congratulation..

and I-130 was updated online only I-485 is not....

I hope my GC is on the way even without card production...thanks to you :)

She received the welcome letter at the interview. Did they print it off the computer MsGore?

yes he printed it from his computer and made a copy for him...
