  1. They do have it but it is only on DVD. Back when we did it streaming and dvds were together on the same plan. You could add dvd rental for one month and still get it pretty cheap.

i took the written exam today 2x and i failed :crying:

so the staff told me just go home and study first i have one last chance to take the test or else I'll pay again :(

yeah this time I got the handbook hope it'll help...

  2. First You need to go to the DMV and pick the handle book for the permit...study it and get prepare for the test. The test is about 30 questions, and you fail either 5...i am not sure on that...but the learning permit is good for 0ne year and during this period you have three chances to take behind the wheel test...i passed on the 3rd. It is all about nervousness and following the rule of the road...stopping completely at stop sign...giving right of way and taking right of way....stop completely at red light look fro coming traffic in all direction before making a right turn...in california you can make a right turn on red light but you have to stop completely and see if upcoming traffic permit you to turn before taking the turn. So, just walk into the nearest DMV and pick the handle and study all the signal and go online and try the test before going in to take it...Search DMV california and get more info. Hope this will guide you.

I downloaded the handbook been studying for 2 mos lol

and yes been trying the flash test...i'm niot worried about the written test I'm worried about the behind the wheel test coz I know its not gonna be easy for me

if i failed 3x i have to retake the written exam again??

so i have to prepare... :bonk:

  3. You can schedule an appointment online if you don't want to wait forever-never in line. Bring all required documents with you. Here's the link; https://www.dmv.ca.gov/foa/clear.do?goTo=officeVisit&localeName=en

36 questions on the test. You'll have to read in the manual to know how many questions are about signs and how many are about general driving and traffic rules.

Yes you can as long as you bring required documents with you. When applying for state ID for the first time, please don't underestimate which documents are needed. These are explained in the California driver handbook on page 2 and 3.

Languages; look here to see if the manual is available in your language; https://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/pubs.htm

Thanks for the info that is very helpful and yes i scheduled appointment....

    thanks again soo much :)

  4. My husband said that you need to pass the written exam before you can get the permit. And the permit is valid for one year. You can only make appointmnt when u decided to take the actual not the written exam.

I stand to be corrected :)

Oh I see so maybe I can try to walk in then....I'm worried that the permit will valid only for 1month coz I'm planning to rake driving lesson from professional driving instructor before taking road test...and for sure it'll take time coz i never drove in my life  so I care about the expiration for the permit..thanks

  5. yes she can adjust status if she is married to US citizen..she can get SSN,working permit,Driver's license and Greencard after the interview is she's approved..overstayed visa is forgiven once you are married to USC...

thats what happened to me I overstayed for 4 years and adjust status just this year....

  7. the last time I phoned CIS they said call back Oct 10..today I called them again today OCT 10 and said wait 60 days and call them back Nov 10 ..

maybe next time I'll call they will tell me to call back Dec 10,January 10,Feb 10 ever and ever..

i wondered if i should cancel my info pass scheduled Oct 17 and wait 60days or 90days...

sooooooooooo frustrating whats the use of approval on the spot

  8. You can definitely cancel an info pass appointment. I personally prefer info pass.

thanks so were set for Oct 17 hope we'll hear good news not bad news :innocent:

I think infopass is better. I think more things happen when you talk to someone face to face, versus a phone call where they just want to get rid of you as quick as possible.

I know everyone is telling you that you're fine and you just have to wait, but if I were you, I'd be panicking too. It really looks like something went wrong. I'm not trying to scare you, I think you will be fine, but you need to find out if you got lost in the process somewhere. Based on how your interview went and what your interviewer said, you should have your card by now. Hopefully you get it straightened out at the infopass. Good Luck.

I know right at least if there's something went wrong they let us know or send us RFE but NOTHING.. .

so I hope this info pass can really answer whats holding them back to send my GC..

    thanks

  9. Not everyone gets their Green Card in 7-10 days. That is the soonest anyone gets it. Many people wait longer.

I imagine that some IO's are busier than others, and that some field offices are busier than others.

Hang in there. It will arrive malapit na.

    magdilang anghel ka sana :)

I hope it will come before my info pass so we don't have to go to the field office...

    Pls pls God :)

    thanks again

  10. So the last time I phoned the CIS agent said call them back if i don't know hear anything about my GC within 30 days(Oct 10)

So today I made info appointment for Oct 17..just thinking

    1.what is service request?

2.is it better than info pass??

3.Can I talk to the IO who interviewed us??

4.can i cancel the info pass if i received my GC before the schedule???

5.What do you think is the reason for the delay of my GC??

Brief story:Had interview last Sept 10 were approved on the spot was handed a welcome/approval paper

Then received approval for I-130(status online also approved) but nothing in my I-485 its still in Testing and Interview..
