CASE COMPLETE!!!!!! Finally!!!!
YES CONGRATS!!!!
I DID GET MY CASE COMPLETE...YESTERDAY...Per the NVC Operator, Bob. Very nice guy, btw.
And Saylin, I got my signature put together too! Thanks for the assistance!
Love you Winnie, you will be posting these same words very, very soon!
Putting together IV package. Hope to get it out in at least another week.
NO RFE please!!
Got our NOA2 yesterday via E-Mail. Just waiting for our NVC case number now.
Already scheduled my medical, submitting my application for a police check today/tomorrow.
My case is completed at the NVC! Thanks again Saylin.
Visa has arrived at DHL location and ready for pick up!!! thanks every body for your help and support!!!! my wife is so happy that the process has been approved. Will be hopefully picking up visa on monday Aug 13 I get to Mexico on sunday Aug 12.
REMINDER TO ALL MEXICO APPLICANTS ORIGINAL USC BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS A MUST FOR THE INTERVIEW SO PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE OR SEND TO YOUR SPOUSE!
I wrote a review for Ciudad Juarez consulate check it out. Good night VJ
Called NVC.
NVC Told us that Our case is COMPLETE & being approved for expedite processing. Now they told us that if it is An expedite process they will not schedule an interview date instead they will send pur case right away in the US embassy/consulate ('manila) & we will be the one who will call our embassy at manila for an interview date (our case is CR1)
Is this much faster?
Yays!!! so much great news.
I got a RE: e-mail last night saying the NVC received my documents... Biting nails now and praying that I get my case complete this week or early next week! What do you think, Saylin?

Finally got back late last night from Canada after being there five days. Hubby and I went to his interview in Montreal on August 2nd and he was approved!! Eleven months after filing the petition and all the waiting. Planned POE is September 4th for either Lewiston or Buffalo, NY, so we're getting ready for it. Really excited that he'll finally be coming down permanently after so long.
Thank you so much to Saylin and all the others who were very helpful during our journey! I hope everyone else's journey goes well!
Yesssssss!......We finally received our interview date (September 4) yesterday via email from the NVC. Seven months of waiting will finally be coming to an end!
Thanks to all the members of VJ for your help along the way, especially to Saylin! It would have been very difficult, if not impossible, to do this on our own. Saylin, your wiki has been our step-by-step guide throughout the process and your answers to our questions have always helped!
We hope August will be a good month for everyone waiting at NVC and we wish you all the very best of luck!
Woot woot! Glad to hear the good news! Congrats!
Last night I called and asked about my AOS package - accepted! YAY! It had probably been accepted for a while but since it didn't really affect anything by calling them or not, I didn't feel like calling the NVC for a while. I still want my hubby to bring that joint sponsor stuff to the interview, but now at least we can be 95% sure that he won't need it! And it's also good news because all that's left for the NVC to review is my DS-260 and supporting documents!
Hey, so, I know hindsight's 20-20, but isn't it interesting that it says in the portal that they will review the DS-260 upon receiving the supporting documents? I totally should have sent the supporting documents as soon as I got the DS-260 instead of waiting (although I still sent them before I completed the DS-260) because I know they won't read my e-mail right away and it would have gotten my application further ahead in the queue. Maybe an idea for those who have yet to complete it. Although I suppose it's risky, I would have done it.

What sort of work visa does he have?
Generally, visas for dependent children are valid as long as the primary visa holder's visa, or until the child is 21. If your friend marries her fiance and submits an I-130 and I-485 to get him a green card then his son's visa will be canceled. If she marries him before his son is 18 then she can also submit an I-130 and I-485 for his son, since she'll be his step-mother under immigration law. If she marries her fiance after his son is 18 then she can't submit a petition for his son. That puts his son in a difficult position. His dad could file an I-130 for his son after he gets his green card, but he can't file an I-485 to adjust his son's status because there won't be a visa number available for at least two years. His son can't wait around in the US until a visa number is available because he'll be out of status, and only immediate relatives of US citizens can adjust status when they're out of status.
This is the most understandable answer so far, so thank you very much!
Thanks to everyone. I hope to continue to hear more opinions!

Well my wife's interview is today @ 7: 15 am in ciudad Juarez hope to get visa approved! Wish us luck VJ family. Hope to report good news later. Good night big day ahead.
Whoo hoo! I'M excited for your interview!
Hi all.. We just got approved last August 3.. Any idea when does NVC will give our case number. My hubby will start calling them today.. (Monday on his place) thank u
yep, I'd start calling in 2 weeks. Average time is about a month. Congrats and wish ya a speedy case number!
My Wife left this morning to Juarez!!
I stared a Separate thread with a very detailed info on MEDICAL and INTERVIEW I will update as soon as I hear something from her
I did ASC in Merida Prior to her leaving
hows NVC doing this month? Faster/Slower/Same?
Yay! I will totally check this out!! THANK YOU! And GOOD LUCK!
I will try to get the details later so your wife doesn't have to waist time at the consulate. My wife went last month wIth her sIs and kinda had an idea how the Juarez consulate works. She saved herself lots of time. She arrived @ 6:30 am and was out by 8:15am.
Yay! Details are awesome.
Thanks Saylin!!! I will work on the signature line! This should keep me occupied a couple more days while I wait. (I need an emoticon that twiddles its' thumbs.
)
There's the clock one.
The end is in sight! I'm so excited that we've made it this far! Couldn't have done it without VJ! We're still surprised by the speed that we are getting through NVC. AOS package was delivered today and the IV bill was paid today. The IV package is ready to go once it shows paid- hopefully tomorrow. I'm hoping we can make the cut-off for interview scheduling this month. Have we missed it yet??
Yay!so exciting! Interviews are scheduled all month long.
After 3 weeks.....finally got our interview date! I'm hyperventilating, it's so exciting!
Sept 4 @ 0830a
*Tebows*
Thank you all SO VERY MUCH (esp Saylin and Darnell and company!) for all of your guidance, wisdom and patience. Please think happy thoughts for us....
Yay!!! Congrats!

Thanks guys. I'll pass this on, I'd love to hear more opinions though!

I have a friend in a complicated situation and I really want to help, but I don't have expert knowledge like you guys do! . Can you help?
She is engaged to a guy from Venezuela who is here legally on a work visa, but his visa will expire this year (I think). If not this year, still very soon.
His ex-wife and two children are also in the US, living in a different state. But they are all here on HIS work visa.
My friend's concern is for his 17-year-old son, who turns 18 soon.
My questions are, will the son have to go back to Venezuela when he turns 18? Will his family have to go back to Venezuela when his work visa expires and he adjusts status through my friend?
Should he try to adjust status to family visa or should he try to keep the work visa?
Which lawyer do you recommend or will they need a lawyer?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
-
Yay, congrats!
And you're very welcome! I love seeing couples get to the end of the process and get approved
Best feeling ever for me! That's why I've stuck around
And we're all eternally grateful for that!
Ummmm...I don't know how! LOL Where do I go, what do I do?
Just type up a little thing like mine or however you want, copy it, go to settings, profile settings, edit signature, paste.
As long as we don't start having "senior moments" I think it is a good thing!
-
Whoo hoo! Lots of good news today!
-
Brad, congrats on the interview and approval!!
And Congrats on getting your case number Denise! I thought it was in the FAQ, well, it was mentioned in last month's thread anyway. Anyway, congrats and best of luck!
Hang in there Deb, at least you know it's there! I must admit it could take a while to get a case number...for example for me it took 3 weeks for NVC to get my case and then another 2 weeks to get my case number.
Well, late last night I FINALLY submitted everything! My husband and I both had crazy days at work and since the information wasn't all ready to go it took way too long to get everything sent off...and I am scared about getting an RFE but you know what? I'm just happy that everything's turned in and now I will just pray that it goes smoothly! *breathe!*
I'm gonna give it a week before I start calling the NVC about it. In the meantime, I've gotta work on my Mexican immigration stuff... Oh yes, the fun continues!
Good luck everyone!

Grats on having the DS-260 available! And yeah, should have prepared ahead of time
I thankfully did and saved myself hours from looking up information while filling out the form.
Don't worry about gaps with employment. The only time gaps are a problem is with addresses.
I had gaps with my employment (it's rare to have back-to-back employment between jobs). I didn't make a note in the cover letter or anything and had NO problems!
It means you talk a lot
Thanks Saylin! That's what I thought but just making sure! You rock!!
And I know...I even made a list of all the information to have it ahead of time but somehow it never got to my hubby. /: oh well, at least I'm almost done now!
-
Thanks Deb for your lightening fast answer! but I was hoping to get an answer from someone who's done the online version because it's a bit different from the G-325a.
I never said congrats about your case being at the NVC! I was gonna text you but with all this craziness...hope you get your case number soon!
Hey I just realized I was promoted to a Senior Member today!
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
-
Hey, I've got a question about the DS-260 already...what do you do with gaps in employment?
-
Happy to hear all the good news! And good luck to everyone!
I'm going a little crazy right now...in a good way! My DS-260 is available!!!!YAY ...and I'm scrambling trying to get the information together! Ugh..I was supposed to do this in advance!
Luckily my sweet husband is doing his part very well, he got the photos and all the docs to me very quickly.
Ok...back to the form... Good luck y'all!

YAY SMART!!! congratulations!

Amenspanglish, I dont need a pardon
Oh, ok! Cool! Like I said, it's very rare from what I've seen so.. Yay! Again, sorry!
Yes mame. I need my feets rubbed for reals. LOL I am going to resist calling NVC until friday. haven't called since 11am. Thats a new one for me. It's hard the phone is just sitting here calling me. LOL
Don't do it!
You are strong! Just focus on getting your stuff together.
Speaking of which, my hubby finally got his photos taken. It's my fault, I didn't get on the ball sending him the requirements (or finding out how to scan them) and I knew I didn't need them quite yet. I think I'll go with BIT's way of scanning them: Placing both photos side by side on computer paper and writing the Beneficiary's info on the top of the page. Anyway, my hubby will scan them to me tomorrow so I will have the e-mail with supporting documents ready to send! And my IV bill was finally ready to pay today so hopefully I can send those supporting documents soon! Again, used Safari and no problems!

Rolling Over...... HAPPY NEW MONTH MY VJ FAMILY
Same to you sweetie pumpkin. I am going to do as the song says and "Hallelujah anyhow. Never let the devil see you down. Now the true test how long can I go without calling NVC. hehe I am trying to hold out to next week. I mean I have AOS packet all together husband still has some running around Lagos to do. Should be done by end of next week. We shall see how long HIS birth certificate takes once ordered. Okay lets get this party started people.
Do it. Take a break. You need it hon!
Hi everybody !! Good luck everyone im waiting for my case number !!!
Yeah for another mexico filer!
Should we include wedding pictures in DS-230 packet? do we have to mention that in the cover letter?
Is your country one of the ones that needs to front load? If so, then yes, if not, then no. Saylin seems to know all the countries that need frontloading.

Ok so even though I am still in the NVC I guess joining this thread will be appropriate. I am hoping for a September Interview do you think this could happen?
Maybe late september! I'd love a September interview too...but I think I'll be October. /:
hoping this would be last monthly nvc thread I join (as a pending case)
IV bill still in process, packet will be sent as soon as I can see it PAID and print cover letter
also hoping they accept the pcc receipt and let pcc to be presented at the interview
Woot woot! Good luck!
I was really, really hoping to be done with NVC by now, but it appears they just love me toooo much and want to keep me close and snuggly.
May-June-July-August. So much for a short transit time, lol
Called in to check on status of interview being scheduled today just for the giggles - Operator "Greg" tells me that interview scheduling for Canada has currently been placed "ON HOLD" until September....what? Has anyone heard anything on this? Or is it more fallacy along the lines of the "only scheduled on second week of the month" business?
Sending out good wishes for everyone to get speedy case completes and interview dates!
I think it is part of the nonsense that they say. Just keep calling.
Okay sent in my rfe docs. Any guesses on how long before I get a "case comlete?"
I guess in about a week, maybe a little longer, as Saylin said.
Hopefully this will be my last NVC thread as a Non-Visa Holder, then I can come back to earn my SUPER-SAYLIN status
I know, right? I hope it's my last thread before an interview date is scheduled!
I tried to log in to the NVC payment site to see if a bill had been generated yet and it says: You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information.
In the past it has just show no bills available to be paid. Could this mean that someone is working on our file? Or is something wrong??
:help:
:help:
this is good. Keep checking back because it means your AOS bill is being generated.
Just added some new links on the first post relating to DHL tracking, medical, and interview. I know it's not part of the NVC process, but I know it'll still be useful to everyone once their case is completed
THANKS SAYLIN! I have been trying to get an answer on how to do this. Thanks for being super!
-
The waiver is the pardon right?
Yes. Are you doing it? Maybe I got you confused with r8edx. Oops! Either way, I still want to know how it all goes for both of you! And, thanks for the help with the photos!
OK, I'm gonna move on to August now!
-
Whoo hoo! Bring in the NVC!
Saylin, Thank you!
-
Wow what a beautiful writeup, Saylin! Since it said Canada on it I never read it...
okay, so I'll do what you did with the photos! Thanks!
-
Thank you for the advice guys, I just sent him an email about this.
Anytime!
-
Okay, sorry to bother you again!
For EP, how do you do the photo part? Do you still have to submit the 2" by 2" photos? I guess scan them, right? Sorry, I'm confused! I was going to send my hubby the photo requirements and I'm confused by the state website. Help?
Thanks!!!!!

NINE MORE DAYS TILL INTERVIEW!!
Ahhhhhhhh, leaving next monday for Juarez
yay!!! BIT, please keep us updated because you are the only MEP case I know that won't need a waiver...or will you? Either way, I really hope to know how it all goes! :jump:
I suppose he can but the mail is very unreliable where I live but will ask him to nonetheless.
Yeah, I totally understand that! In Mexico mail is also very unreliable! But it's definitely good to have copies, just in case something gets lost.
. If he's not going to be there for your interview, you should consider having him scan you the documents.
Best of luck!
Man Saylin, great minds think alike!
Safari worked on my AOS payment actually.
BUT like I said...I'll go fire up my dinosaur
