I didn't think Haiti required a police certificate. So I did not tell my fiance to get one. He said the embassy called him and told him he need one. My fiance went and got one. So maybe they do it at random.
I agree I think you should just to be on the safe side. I will be praying for you. I am trying to find my fiance a plane ticket to arrive here Saturday or Sunday.
