  1. We are planning on a 3-week vacation in the Philippines. My passport will expire on Aug 2014 and we are looking at travelling 1st week of June 2014. My travel agent says that she will write to the Phil consulate since they require passports to be unexpired of at least 6 months before travelling so I can just renew my passport there. I have talked to my friends in PH and they said it might take 3-6 weeks to renew my passport in PH and I wonn't have enough time to do all that while I'm on vacation. I can't renew my passport before I travel since I have to fly to Los Angeles and spend $700 just for that. Will I have any trouble going home to Philippines? My passport is still good when I travel anyway?

  2. After writing to my Congressman regarding my citizenship interview, I finally received my interview letter. A day later, I received another letter stating my interview schedule was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances". Needless to say, happiness was short-lived. After 10 months of waiting for my interview, seems like they want me to wait more. Has anybody experienced this before? A little insight would help. Thanks

  3. Yung expiration date naman nung sa asawa ko is 2023 @Kai. Kelangan ba talagang papalitan. But anyway hindi din sinali yung second name niya at middle name. "John Francis" and 1st name niya pero "John F" lang nakalagay pero sa likod nmn nung card is complete yung name niya.

Oo nga para maganda ang new year nating lahat! Yung flight pa kasi sana hindi fully booked at super expensive ang ticket! Kakaloka! Haha

  5. My wife income was not sufficient as she has her sisters kids as dependent. We seeked for joint sponsor who is alone and income above 23k. I.e he meets criteria. Still embassy refused me to give visa now I searched one joint sponsor with huge income.. I was accepted by Nvc but not by embassy. I don't know why consular didn't refused... So better be prepare with huge income.. Don't take a single chance .. Don't make Any weak points. Make strong ur documents

We did not use any joint sponsor since petitioner's income is above poverty line. Petitioner is just living w/ parents and does not have any dependents. The parents are working and have dependents but like I said they are not our joint sponsors. I am just nervous that they might question that he is living w/ parents and did not include them in household #.
