  1. Hi Brock - it doesn't sound like they followed through with the expedite, December doesn't sound right. but at least, you know its coming - there was a lot of April filers being approved today, they still have some March to go through, but if April is going strong, then May can't be too far behind, they have sped up significantly, I think it will be sooner than you all think, May filers will start seeing approvals early November if not before that, I wouldn't be surprised if some started trickling in last week of October actually. I hope so.

sounds like you guys have a nice little plan going on, a visit, and a wedding dress fitting, its nice that she has something else to focus on rather than her surgery, that will help her get well quickly, speaking of, best of luck for her surgery, when does she go in?

At this point SweetDelish, as long as we haven't been denied then we are happy to wait. Not so happy that they tell us its been expedited then tell us we will hear in December, but at least it hasnt been denied.

Wow really? I had no idea. At this rate yes then it would be great if us May filers will hear something by November. We were planning anyway that I would leave the UK in March (so I have time to pack, quit my job, tell businesses that I am moving, wedding booking etc..), so even if say I had the interview in February it wouldnt be much of a problem because of our plan being so far off on the calender. Better late than early in this case lol!!! Just so much to book and plan for the wedding its gonna be such a rush when I do get my Visa lol!

Yeah I wasnt allowed to go for the wedding fitting (shame because I SOOOOOOOO wanna see it now that I know who it was designed by!!), and she adores it!! Not only that we have an idea about where my family is going to stay, our theme (so proud of it, it is gonna be red, white and blue. Like the colours of our flags!!!), catering, flowers, decor, location. We both know what we want its just booking it all lol!

Thank you for the best wishes. She has her surgery next Monday, but doctors are confident that it will be a success. Just wish I could be there for her. Work wouldnt let me stay because despite me working in a company that employes over 1,000 people, there are only 2 people woking in IT. The other guys is off for a month. Guess who is working alone lol!!

  2. Wow, you would think they would send it ASAP. Knowing you will be here by Christmas will definitely lift her spirits.

Yeah and that's what I don't get. Having saying that I saw their recent statistics and apparntly in September they were still having over 18,000 applications to go through in VSC. Makes me wonder how may people do they employee lol!

Hopefully if the surgery goes well she said that she wants to fly over to the UK and meet my family before we get married. She has her second fitting for her wedding dress today, just thinking forward and not looking back now!

  3. I saw my fiancee on webcam last night. She looked ever so pale and neverous about her surgery next week. I thought we would call the USCIS today to see if any good news might cheer her up.

According to one of the officers on the other end of the line, our NOA2 is expected to be mailed or received by 12th December. Although I am not impressed and was slighly dishearten by this news, she seemed to be really happy about this.

Maybe we will be able to spend our first Christmas together finially, but seeing as our expedite request was approved, surely it would come before 12th December?

Anyway, I am just waffling on. I'd thought i would let you guys know that people who received their NOA1 at the end of May will seem to have their NOA2 beginning of December more or less in my opinion. Lets just hope they send over some manpower from CSC to VSC lol.

  4. I was wondering about them too. I really hope and pray she came through the surgery well.

Hey, sorry it has been a while since I got back to you. Just got back from the USA to see my fiancee. She will need operating in a few weeks time. Very week but happy I went over to see her. Chemothrapy has only seemd to slow down and shriken the cancer a little, but the doctors seem positive about the surgery.

However I still have no news from the USCIS. Its already been 126 days and our petition has been expedited. Doesnt make any sense.

Anyways I hope you are all well and getting excited about your progress! Sorry I missed out so much...

  5. So yes, there MAY be a small chance that it will be approved, but as our experience goes on this site, they have only seem to be approved for life or death situations. If you do get approved that's great :) It will be good knowledge for VJ too to see a case like this approved.

I have to agree with you on this one. My fiancee who is the USC has Stage 2 Brain cancer and was approved of the petition being expedited. For some reason when it was at Stage 1 they denied it. Guess they have a set standard at what life or death situations are.

Any case, don't get disheartened if you do not get it approved. You love him right? Of course you do, why would you file this petition if you didnt? You are on the start of this brand new advneture with your partner. Sure it maybe a long round, but in the end it will be worth it.

    Good luck!

  6. hmm I was just coming to check on Kassil&Tierce - no news yet I suppose. it can't be far away, couple of weeks at best, unless its in the mail already.

Brock? Andie? pretty sure we'll hear the news any day now from you two. fingers crossed anyway.

Thank you. No news yet. They still saying they are still backlogged and to give them another week.

However, more worried about my fiancee. Her headaches are getting worse and the doctors say that she needs to have surgery tomorrow. I am so angry and upset that I will not be there by her side to hold her hand before the operation.

Its been scary this past week. She has managed to forget who I am for a few days (not fun convincing her why I am her fiancee and why she loves me) and a few times she starts to speak and write Spainish on MSN saying that she doesn't understand English.

They say that the cancer spread to the language and memory part of the brain. She has been on steriods for 6 weeks to build up her stregth for the chemo, but its spread too quickly and needs to have surgery now.

So I am more focused on her than I am with the petition. I will of course keep you guys up to date with what going on. The doctors say there is a 70% success rate.

Anyway, here is me waffling on. Congratulations on those so far getting their NOA2 and going forth on to the next step you lucky S.O.B's! Now yo need to focus on the medicial and getting yourself fit. Me? Im cutting my cigerattes from 12 a day to 10 a day! Every 2 per 2 weeks until I cut down completely! Lol! Oh and pizza, but I loooooooooooooove my Dominos pizza so much! Its my comfort food lol!

  7. Thanks Brock. I thought you guys were getting expedited?

We are, but they still have yet to receive any information. My fiancee called the USCIS and said that VSC has been pushed behind due to the ammount of petitons they have been getting (obviously) but we should hear back within the next week. If not by 10 days, call them back.

Any news right now is good news right now.

  8. Alan, this video shows exactly what happens on interview day, but the questions they pose will be geared toward a fiancé rather than student.

WHAT?! You seriously have the interview behind a counter?! I thought it would be in like an interview room or something.

Im even more nervous now lol!!

Thanks for sharing the video and picture! Although you should check out their other videos on their YouTube channel. So bad, it looks like GCSE Media Studies pupils did them! :bonk:

  9. Hi! Here's the link to the London embassy that has all the DS forms in the upper right corner: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html

After you get your NOA2 and clear the NVC stage, you'll receive the packet 3 letter. The only useful information in that letter is the link above and the phone number to pay the visa fee. Once you're at the packet 3 stage, the London embassy website is the place to go.

Once you know you're past the NVC stage and have the LND case number, fill out Form DS-230-Part 1 (throw part 2 away), DS-156K, 2 copies of Form DS-156 and and 2 copies of DS-157 and send it to the embassy. One of the forms will have a space for the photo and one of the forms will tell you it needs the police certificate and all that supplemental stuff. Don't send any of that, just the forms.

Then book your medical exam. A few days before the medical exam and after you have the police certificate and all the supplementals, send DS-2001 to the embassy with a cover letter saying you're ready for an interview date and can take one on short notice.

Based on how everyone's done things so far, that should be the fastest way to do it.

Thank you sooooooooo much orangedesk!! Wow, I cant beleive how many forms I have to fill in on our end! It's crazy!!

P.S I have always admired your avatar picture. It's soooo adorable!! :luv:
