I am in the exact same boat. But what is worse is that we called USCIS twice in one day, and both people told us two different stories.
Either the NOA2 will be sent to us on Friday (6th December), or they have already sent it 3 weeks ago to the wrong address and my fiancee who is the USC has to pay $170 for it to be sent again registered mail to my correct address.
Dunno what to believe! even worse is that they gave us our NOA1 number which does not register on their website, so I cannot even track it online!

Hi there,
I have an appointment to see my NHS nurse next week, and I was wondering if there has been any update on what vaccinations are required when it comes to the AOS? I told the nurse about the following:
Td or Tdap (DT, DTP or DtaP)
MMR
Varicella
Influenza
Is there anything else I am missing? I am also asking them to make an official note (dated, stamped and signed) of the vaccinations I have got, would that be sufficent once it comes to the AOS stage?
Thank you!

Yeah I am in the same boat too. I know how you feel it's driving me crazy!!

I wasn't criticizing your frustration at all, I just wasn't sure how to answer you to best help. I couldn't figure out if you were approved and were calling USCIS when DOS had taken over your case. Or if you were wanting to call NVC when USCIS still had you 'round the neck. Best of luck to you.
Sorry I didnt mean to snap, I know you were trying to help and I appreciate that. Just so hard seeing my fiancee so ill and all I wanna do is to look after her, yet people can't get their stories straight about where our petition stands.
Sorry again, and thank you again

Brock--maybe you don't understand the process enough, and I'm not real sure what exactly your frustration is. Did you get an email that the petition has been approved or are you trying to find that out? If you are indeed approved, this happens next:
NOA2 confirmation letter will be mailed to the USC because it goes to the person who filed the petition saying her petition was approved. You or she do not need that letter for anything until you file for AOS. The actual approval notice isn't really a concern right now.
USCIS will turn your fiance's approved petition file over to NVC. At that point, you're done with USCIS until you marry and apply for your greencard. Your online status will no longer track your progress to the visa. NVC is under the Dept of State (DOS) as is the embassy in London. It's a totally different government unit.
NVC 603-334-0700 Press 1 for English, 5 to talk to someone
Hours: Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM (EST). Best time to call is 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM to 12:00 PM.
You can call and speak to a person to find out if they got the petition from USCIS, and when they sent it on to London. They will also tell you the new DOS case number they assigned....LNDXXXXXXXX. Do not try to put in your old USCIS case number for an automated update. K1s only are at NVC a couple of days and are never entered into the automated system like spouse visas are. You must get your info from a live person. Your USC fiancé will get a notice from NVC telling her that case number and that it is on the way to London., so it's not a requirement to call NVC. But people who can't wait for the letter call to find out a little sooner than waiting on the post.
It will take London a week or 2 or 3 to send you (beneficiary) a letter to your home in the UK, with instructions on how to apply for your visa. The actual letter isn't important to have. There's copy of it posted in the UK forum for you to read. It basically tells you to go to an embassy webpage to get your instructions. It is important to know London is ready for you to apply and that's the only significance of the letter. But you can call the Dept of State and get the same information. Ask if London has logged your case yet. If so, then you can move on with the application whether you ever get London's letter (also known as packet 3).
DOS 202-663-1225 press 1, then 0
There is a thread in the UK forum to help you from NOA2 to getting your interview. I suggest it's time for you to start at Post #1 and start reading. Each consulate has different procedures so you need to get with the UK folks now for your London part of the journey. Here's the thread --
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/
Well if you were told by the USCIS different stories about where on earth your petition and NOA2 stands within this process I think you too would be feeling frustrated, angry, annoyed and emotionally all over the place. Not to mention that the NOA1 reference number that they gave you doesn't work so you cannot track it online.
However thank you for the information you have provided me. It is nice to get a refesh crash course on what is to come next and prepare myself for whenever I do get Packet 3.
I appreciate it thank you.
Yes, the beneficiary can contact NVC. I did it every day when we were waiting for our case number to be assigned!
Awesome! I was fearing that I would get the same response as I did with the USCIS (quite rude if you ask me lol!)
I shall be calling them tomorrow, thank you!
Looks like you should be processed middle to end of December according to your time line, K-1 is usually about 7 months.
Lol not really helping my mental state of mind but yes I understand that VSC processing time has gone up from 5.5 months to 7 months.
Mind you the time lines aren't always accurate as has been seen in many cases!

Hi there,
So basically USCIS is giving us bull ####### and can't give my fiancee (USC) a straight answer. One person said we will post the NOA2 confirmation letter to her by this Friday, and another one said we sent Packet 3 to your fiancee (me) three weeks ago but we sent it to number 42 (my house number is 41) and they did an RTS.
So tired of this #######, is there anyway that I, the beneficiary, can contact the NVC to see if they have my case? Do I need to give them any reference numbers because guess what, the NOA1 number they gave us doesn't work when trying to track it online.
The number I have to contact them is 001-202-663-1225.
Thank you for your time

PACKET 3 ARRIVED!!!!!
WOO HOO!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!
-
Brock - that all sounds a bit weird, since when did they send the NOA2 to the beneficiary, and why would they have given you a CSC (WAC) number when it was at VSC (EAC), you could try using EAC and enter the numbers - see if that works for you. Its possible they did something different to usual, but I suggest you get in touch with the embassy in the UK ASAP to find out if your interview is really in December.
Yeah I know this is all strange and they seem to be processing this unusally without anyone of their personnel knowing what is going on and giving us difference stories.
OMG you are right, I thought WAC was for VSC!! I did replace the WAC with EAC and it still didnt register on the USCIS tracking website.
All of this is so strange. Bring on Friday so I can go on a massive rampage and get to the bottom of this. It is bulls**t that USCIS cannot give the beneficiary any update just the petitioner!
Still haning in there, thank you everyone for your advice I will let u know if there is any news!

What a mess
It sounds all over the place like things are being done out of the usual order :/ Maybe contact the NVC and ask if they have any knowledge of your case? Or if you have an interview at the London embassy, contact them and see what they know about it? If the NVC or London have no knowledge of your case then at least you know it's still definitely a USCIS problem and maybe your fiancee can get someone involved from a higher level like a congressman? Although I really don't know about that side of things, just trying to think of possible avenues to go down :/ I'm really sorry this is happening to you guys.
Wow thats alot of advice thank you. How do I go about in contacting the NVC? I wil try and call the London Embassay today and see if they have heard of my name!
Thank you again, just waiting until Friday to see if any mail comes through and see if they are lying again lol!
-
Oh Brock, I'm so sorry! I really feel for you, that is such an awful position to be in.
You guys are already going through enough without USCIS adding to the stress.
I really hope that things will be more straightforward for you guys from here on out...
Thank you. I just wish they just gave us the truth and not give us some bullshit lie. We will give it until Friday and if I don't hear anything then give them another call. All we need is a simple answer and a correct NOA1 reference number!
-
Sounds awful
Sorry, but I don't understand how you can have an appointment for an interview, when you have not received packet 3?
I know right?! And I was there on webcam when she called them!
-
Oh my f**king god this is getting beyond a joke!
Last night my fiancee called the USCIS to get an update. According to them they are going to send them out by this Friday (7th December). Ok so that's like the 4th time they have lied to us.
But this gets so much worse and serious. An hour later I asked my fiancee if she could ring them again because I forgot to ask about our NOA1 number since we lost it (actually one of the kittens weed on it lol!) so we could track it online. We managed to speak to someone and according to that persons' record, the letter was sent out to my UK address 3 WEEKS AGO!!!
They sent it to number 42, and I am 41! Not only that, our neighbours didn't recognize my name so they put it back in the post box marking it RETURN TO SENDER!!!
Apparently the interview is on the 12th December, but fiancee had to pay about $196 for the letter to be sent again registered to my correct address.
I am getting frustrated and extremely annoyed! On top of that my fiancee has excess chemotherapy in her body which is poisoning her body and the doctors are not sure weather she is fit enough for her to fly over. My emotions are all over the place, I can't sleep or eat and I haven't seen her for 7 months and I am tired of all this false hope and lies they are telling us!!
Not only that, they gave us the NOA1 number (starts with WAC, 13 characters in total) and it doesn't work on their website so I can't track it online!! I dunno how much I can take. What should I do?!
:crying:

Is there anyone else from May still waiting on an NOA2 besides me?????!!!
BTW, Congrats to all of you with updates. I can't wait to be posting anything on here but the fact that I am still waiting........................... LOL
Yep, me. Still no NOA2 or antyhing. Not trusting a word any of the USCIS agents say after they lied about our petition being expedited...
still waiting, but my patience is wearing oh so thin....
-
=))) We got our Approval today!! I was dancing like a fool when I got the text! =)) yyeeaaaaaaa
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
-
Lol don't worry there are still people waiting. Look at myself. Just gotta hang in there, it will be coming soon!
-
Still no NOA2 for me
I am getting really depressed and don't know what to do now.
What do you guys recommend? I've heard I can get my senator involved. Is that true? How do I do that?
Im in the same boat as you. It really is getting me down in the dumps but there is nothing you can do. Getting your senator involved won't do you much good as you have not yet exceeded your 6 month cut point. Have you tried calling USCIS for an update?
My fiancee called last night about our status. Apparntly we should both get something in the post sometime this week.
Im not getting excited about it, as they have lied to us so many times in the past.
Congratulations so far on all sucessful NOA2 and intervewis for our May peeps!
-
This is costing me a fortune but I had to post .....
Approved!!!!
More later
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Don't worry, people in May are still waiting to be approved (like myself).
Take a deep breath and relax, it will be coming soon!

Things are not looking so hot for me and my fiance right now. This process has been so stressful and he, I suppose, threatened to end it all yesterday. I'm pretty upset right now. I don't know who where else or who else to really mention this to but I figure some might know what this feeling is like. It hasn't ended but being this far away and not really knowing if we're gonna get through this is the most upsetting thing I have I ever experienced.
I really am happy to see so many May filers approved. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone else.
Oh no! Im so sorry to hear what you are going through. It seems to be a reoccuring theme when the stress of receiving the NOA2 comes too much. Beleive my fiancee and I have had our arguements about it, but patience is the only thing you both can do.
It seems that advice is a lot easier from when you first send the petition rather than when you are so close from getting the NOA2 I know, but hang in there.
I know I am!
-
To those May filers still waiting. especially those in early May who have concerns about being missed, I noted down the NOA1 dates from the last 2 days of approval (on VJ)
today so far has had NOA1 dates in May of: 2nd, 14th, 15th, 23rd and 31st
yesterday had NOA1 dates in May of: 8th, 8th, 14th, 24th, 24th, 25th, 29th, 29th and 30th
as you can see.. they are not approving in any order, I hope that this at least helps lessen that sick feeling in the pit of the stomach a little.
You want to know something that is shocking...
I DON'T BELONG IN THIS GROUP!!!
I just realised that I thought this is the group for people who SENT their petition in May, not for people who received their NOA1 in May!
Im so sorry, should I leave? I don't want to im so attached to the people on this group. Im sorry!
-
We just got our NOA2 approval
finally!! It's been 190 days! I was pretty much convincing myself that something had gone wrong and they'd lost our file or something, so my faith has been restored. I hope so much for everyone else still waiting from May to get theirs in the next few days! The relief is just unbelievable. Thank you for all the support on here, can't wait to get on with the next stages now! xx
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Just an update. My fiancee waited for me to get back from work and we beleive we got to the bottom of this.
Before we called USCIS I called the NVC to see if they have out case. They do not. Therefore, USCIS must still have it.
My faincee then called them, spoke to another agent who said they will be sending the NOA2 notification next week. As you can probably understand our frustrastion and lies, we did not beleive any of this, so we asked the agent if we can speak to the supervisor.
After 15min of waiting, we finally got hold of a supervisior. Very nice and articulate person. This is what they had to say about our case:
Well, at least this story kinda makes sense. Not the good news we were expecting, but hey at least we know where we stand if this story doesn't turn out to be yet another lie. So just have to continue playing the waiting game.
In other news got some more bad news. The chemothrapy fluid in her brain has not gone down enough for the doctors to aloow her to fly over. My family are giving me the emotional blackmail of spending the last xmas with my family (and my sister is gonna give birth to another child on Christmas Day), so really torn on flying over there. I think I will in the end, they have to realise that I have my responsbilities now. She is my family too. Besides I have not seen her for 7 months now, and she will probably need surgery to remove this fluid.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
