  1. You need to re-plan. She will not be able to work until AFTER you file AOS, at which time you will also file for her EAD(Employment Authorization Document). She cannot work without the EAD or green card. It takes on average 3 months to receive the EAD after filing.

There are other fees, like mailings, plane tickets, hotel stays, medical fee, etc.

These are JUST the immigration fees:

    I-129F petition fee: $340

    Visa processing fee: $240

    Adjustment of Status fee: $1070

    Removal of Conditions fee: $590

    Naturalization fee: $680

Total from petition to citizenship: $2920

Finally being with your loved one = priceless

  2. You list ALL children on the 129f form, regardless of their immigration intent.

You then list only those children that you wish to have a K-2 issued on the DS-156K form....and you list whether they are To Join or To Follow.

Then if they are To Join, you get a medical done for them and bring them along for your interview.

If they are To Follow, then when you are ready for them to come, you notify the Embassy to schedule their interview, have a medical done for them and then have them attend their interview.

    Well said!

  3. Mine was like a total of 112 pages (20 of them to prove that my fiancee was disabled and could not work), and the majority of the pages were photocopies of evidence of our relationship:

    • 30+ photocopies of my passport, even though they were blank!
    • 20+ pages of my bank statements (credit & debit)
    • 10+ photocopies of airline tickets, hotels, musicals & WWE shows we went to
    • 5 picutres of us from each trip, signed and dated from both of us

What I am trying to say is even though 200 pages can seem a little OTT, sending too much evidence is better than sending too little, getting an RFE (or an RFCS in my case ) and then waiting to see if you have corrected the RFE.

Just dont forget to enclose a check for $340 (NOT $350, $330, £240, $300.........$340!!!!) :bonk:

  4. Brock! I was thinking about you the other day! I was filling out the form for the Social Security and, somewhere, it said that the form could be printed on A4 paper..... so I took this as a reassurance of what we talked about the other day. The guy who posted that information, was probably blaming another mishap on the paper size rofl.gif

    LOL OMG NO WAY!!!! :wow:

Well that has certainly reassured me thank you so much for letting me know! That is one less thing left on my mind lol!!

I just hope that other people with the same fear happen to find this and don't panic :bonk:
