Did you marry ? File for AOS ? If the answer is no , call ICE and report that she left. Change your locks if she had a key, kill the cell phone if you gave her one and don't meet her anywhere on your own or you could get set up for vawa. Also kill any credit she has access to.

    All,
The Visa Journey Terms of Service (TOS), specifically defines advertisement in this article of the TOS:
No Solicitation. You shall not distribute on or through the Service or to any persons or entities identified via Visajourney.com any Content or material containing solicitations or advertising of any kind without the express prior written permission of Visajourney.com. Lawyers, law firms, immigration related businesses or their proxies are prohibited from soliciting employment from prospective clients through the Forums or any of its interactive features. In the discussion forums you may discuss or recommend third-party Web sites, goods or services, so long as you have no financial interest in and receive no direct or indirect benefit from such Web sites, products or services, or the recommendation of such.
Although the OP states that there was no foul related to the above, VJ Moderation cannot validate the relationship.
This may explain why there was a membership backlash. Further, the OP recently joined and immediately posted the "perceived" advertisement. At the end of the day, this is a self help and assistance website for immigration matters. In other words, we help each other through this process from personal experience and without the assistance of an attorney.

I am sorry you have had a bad experience but I am not sure that posting here, complaining about this forums members and generalizing is the way to go about making friends or gaining understanding.

Oh wow, we've got July peeps checking us out now! Haha.
And she actually hand checks a whole list of numbers on the USCIS website to give an idea of what they have been working on at VSC...you know where you type in your own receipt number to check your case status? Well, you can change that number up and down from your own and see the status of other people's stuff......

Seem like they are "backed logged"... At one point VSC was working really fast and knocking out petition now seems like CSC is the one working quicker. I guess each service center is like a rolling coaster with its ups and downs, one year one is working faster while one is working slower. "WE" can't exactly say why are they taking so long, but all i can say is hang in there cause it will be a long and bumpy ride, for most of us fliers. Normal processing time is 5 Month seem like now is looking at 6month maybe more... who know... Good Luck to us waiting at VSC... is just a matter of patience, luck, and waiting until your time...

It's tough right now, I'm into 5 mos and 2 weeks, and the January folks have waited way longer than that. Try not to fret (to use a term from my southern upbringing ). It's so difficult right now, but I'd mentally prepare for 6 months and if you get it earlier, than it will come as a nice surprise. No one has any answers or control as to how fast VSC processes. There is no magic wand or path which will make yours go any faster. CSC is processing fast right now and that's just the way it is. I try not to even read the threads that say NOA2!!!!! because I can bet with about 99% accuracy that they come from CSC which depresses me. Try, if possible to focus on getting your finances in order, a creative project, your family, or anything else than can keep your mind active and off the frustration of watching the clock. Best of luck to you and everyone reading this. We've earned it!

    USCIS: A Glossary
Review: A completely meaningless term used to get a petitioner to believe someone is actually working on his/her petition.
Processing Date: A randomly selected date at least 3-4 weeks back that is chosen to cover the a**ses of the adjudicator. This date may never move forward.
RFE: Request for Evidence- usually something you've already sent in, but that they lost and are pretending you didn't send in to cover their a**ses.
5 Months: A completely useless time frame which only few will achieve. See the definition for the 1%
The 1%: The people we love to hate who either got lucky or have actually legitimate reasons for getting approved early.
Anyone like to add a few? LOL

That's actually a really good point sabi, considering they most likely get credit for looking at it, then they are probably not taking the time to look very hard and just ripping off an RFE which means they get credit for the attempt and can move forward.
Hey if they want to take all f-ing year to process these then that's only giving us the time to come up with theories...frankly...what else is there to do. LOL

Unfortunately this isn't much of an update since they've been saying Jan 9th for over 2 months now. You can keep up with all of us over on the Jan and Feb forums where many attempts have been made to involve congresspeople, senators, priests, moms and Tom Cruise.
I don't mean at all to make light of your venting, trust me when I say I know exactly how you feel. At this point they are saying it's not worth involving a congressman/woman until 30 days PAST 5 months, which for you is August 15th.
I've given hopes up of seeing it before August 9th. CSC is faster, but that's not going to make VSC faster. I'm sorry I don't have anything to offer in the way of solutions. Keep your chin up, we'll get there

At least I'm distracted with moving. I found the PERFECT place for us in Brooklyn, cross fingers we get accepted. It's so nice to see what our future home might look like, and fun to send him photos and get his opinion. Stick it to the man (USCIS)... 'cause my life is still moving on now matter how SLOW/STOPPED ya'll are. He can still come here until his interview if that's the only option.

This is what I got to come home to after being out looking at apartments. Now don't that just cheer you right on up?

Are you talking about the thing at the bottom of the page when you're looking up the receipt (under the control number) on the USCIS website? It doesn't mean anything for us. Mine says the same thing. It'll probably change to another date when July 1st rolls around.

Actually Sabi, we are a friendly bunch, but after seeing this certain someone dump negativity on both January and February boards almost every 5 minutes, with words like "prepare for the worst' and "probably not until September", I finally had to speak up. I don't feel bad about it, as I was tired of the incessant posting every five minutes and 90% of it being negative drivel. Some folks need a hobby. I've since discovered the button that hides posts.
But I will thank you now for posting all your numbers. I've been following them and they give me hope. So thanks for that. More happy and less sad is what we all need. It's hard right now.
