Im trying to get a cosponsor I have my brother who gets unemployment and he clearly makes way over 30,000 a year in unemplyment can unemployment be used on the affidavit of support

That is why I am going to let a professional teach my wife. There are too many other things in this new marriage to get a handle on without the conflicts of teaching someone to drive entering into the picture. I know most driving schools are geared towards the teenager driver, but there are several that do have adult driving lessons. You might want to find one of those. I am having a hard time finding a driving school that will do the driving handbook and written test for an adult. Most just say learn it on-line. My wife needs someone to explain things to her as English is not her first language and the driving handbook in not available in her language in Colorado, but it is in California and Washington--go figure.
I know where you are coming from and suggest you get professional help with this to save the marriage
.
Good luck,
Dave
My friend went through the, same thing but next time u go have a friend translate everything to her and ask for the written exam atleast with that u can double check ur answers. They sat back to back while one translated(and was actually giving the answers) the dmv rep didnt know wat they were, saying thats here n virginia though not sure how other state laws works

if u cant stand the wait apply for an expedite mine was approved for mental hardship and financial I basically said me not having my husband here is making me lose my focus at work so my hours are being cut I even went to a psychiatrist he said I had separation anxiety and depression I was done with uscis in 22 days and spent abou 2 weeks at nvc my husband interview is may 2nd

I agree with peter whats stopping u from marrying this one. I guess if u r the one living in gh and u called or wrote to the embassy declining I think that may be ok but ur situation isnt going to be easy to prove...the times that shes been to gh do they overlap with when u were with ur first fiance are u the one to write the incitation to come visit u if so I would print out all 4 of the invites that u sent to her. Because it does have ur phone number and address on every invitation

I applied for a spousal visa and they r asking for a bank statement on my 2011 tax transcripts it shows I have two dependents but somehow it list my children as my stepchildren can I use that to my advantage and say I dont have children. I made 30,000 in 2011 & the transcript shows that is there a,way of them knowing how many children I really have....it seems like they only know what we tell them....

If u dont mind what questions did they ask u in the interview?
-
my fiance wasnt with me for the interview and i was approved ;as for the affidavit of support i dont really think they care about how much its your bank account, they care more about you having regular income ( paycheck above poverty line). i say this because my fiance had a very substantial figure in his savings( more than 6 times whats required for the poverty line) but he didnt have a regular paycheck because he just got out the military and was going to school. I was scheduled for a second interview to bring a co sponsor because they said just having savings wasnt enough( though through his bank statements you were able to see the money didnt just drop in miraculously before our interview but it still didnt matter). I say if in doubt get a cosponsor because the second interview set us back about two months for something we could have easily gotten had we known. Good luck my dear! patience is key
Ok I think I should sign up for direct deposit and I do have a cosponsor on back up but ill go ahead and include him in the first time around...my husband is in the gh army but they dont care about his bank statement do they?
-
thank u all today he went to pick up packets from there will his interview date be in those packets? About the affidavit of support will they ask for the most recent I have my 2011 transcript? And how much money in the bank is enough for them I heard as long as its enough for a plane ticket? Our case Was expedited through both uscis and nvc so qe h aa vent filled or paid for anything yet...i think im gonna go to his interview with him I dont want to regret anything.

Trying to decide whether I should go to ghana for his interview. Todays hes going for his packets,at the embassy in ghana. Ive read on some people p A ges tht they were approved when the usc was there the second time around. Has anyone from ghana not go to the interview and was approved....
-
imagine how stressed she would be cause waiting for this process to be complete is enough already
-
congrats and thanks for the words of encouragement
-
The aos comes alot later in the process. I did the I 130 and my, understanding is the nvc are the ones to ask for the aos. I had my case expedited u have to pay a fee even before u get the aos from nvc. I say start filing it usually takes 5 months just to get through the uscis
-
it is ghana that we r talking about
-
If you dont mind me asking. Did you send your expedite request with the packet? What was your argument and supporting papers?
Congrats sorry I havent been on for a while but looks like u and I are on the same track I was alsi approved thru nvc

i studied LingChi nvc shortcuts and I got thru NVC in 13 days.
so search it at the top right and study it. most of it still pertains.
it has been taking a month to get the nvc case numbers so you have a little time. Start calling nvc every night to get your
NVC case number
Invoice number
and give them both email addresses he day you get the numbers.
You can also request an expedite at nvc as soon as you get the case number. then you will have to pay fees at the embassy and turn in the documents to the embassy. otherwise download the I-864 and DS-230 and be ready to EMAIL NVC a short letter called agent of choice that shows the american as the agent. or send form 3032 (i think) it is agent of choice form but a regular email works.
Always remember to put your nvc number in the title ara of the email
always state petitioner name and date of birth
always state beneficiary name and date of birth
study the guides and send all the needed info
864 needs last years taxes but you might just want to send last 3 years tax transcripts, sometimes an employment letter, last 6 paychecks...I do not remember all but lingchi will tell you
230 needs all his info from ghana. police cert, birth cert, military cert, marriage cert and all translated into english.
study study study
also need a checking account in usa to pay 88 dollar aos (864) fee and 404 dollars for IV 230 fee-some people use money orders i think
Thank u it was approved through nvc I was kind of shocked because I only sent a email to the NVC saying my case was expedited through uscis so y isnt it being expedited through them next thing I know it was approved and sent to ghana so one month through the uscis and ncc
-
approved through nvc case has been in ghana for a week and a half I didnt pay any fees now im happy as hell but also lost as to what to do lol I havent filled any forms or anything they just said nvc is done with the case ur expedite was approved
