  1. Hi Everyone!

My fiance and I are 1 week away from our interview at the consulate in Casablanca, Morocco and we were hoping for any last minute advice that you may have!

We feel prepared and then again, we don't if that makes sense.

Happy thought and sound advice are welcomed!!!

    Thanks everyone!!!

    Love,

    Liza and Redouane

Yes, take a deep breath and relax. I'm sure by now you have all the photos, emails, letters, etc etc all in order. You and your fiancee are ready! Be confident, strong, and convincing ok? You two have a bona fide relationship; you have provided everything that needs to be shown.

As far as advice, be at the embassy earlier than your interview time. That way, you may be one of the first to have your interview and then it's party time :dance: . If you don't know the answer to a question the CO has asked, be honest and say "I'm don't know". Never try to guess an answer or lie. Remember, honesty is all the best policy! Cell phones are not allowed inside the embassy just so you know.

You are ready so talk with your fiancee as you have been all along. Talk about other issues and not about the interview. Good luck to you both.

Oops! Me and my typos  I meant to say: "I don't know", regarding a question that you don't know the answer to. And I meant to say: "honesty is ALWAYS the best policy". LOL sorry for my typos!

  2. I sent our packet in 2 months ago. I haven't heard anything except the NOA1. Wondering if no news is good news. Our packet went to California.

Yes, you have about 3 more months of waiting and researching. Our NOA2 did not come until right at the 6 month mark. Of course, I missed one question on the I-129F and it cost us an extra 60 days  If you don't have a RFE, then you should be receiving your NOA2 in about 3 more months

In the meantime, you can start collecting your evidence for the interview. IE: phone logs, emails, chats, photos, etc. Research those "DS" forms that will need to be filled out and given to the embassy. You and your fiancee decide which place he/she will need to go in order to complete the medical exam. Don't forget about your affadavit of support, the I-134. You need to work on it and get your employer to write on letter head regarding your employment status, including salary, and recent check stubs. Also, you need a transcript of your tax return (or returns depending on the embassy requirements).

So you see, you have lots to do and that will keep your mind occupied and before you know it, your NOA2 will be in your hands  Good luck to you as you travel down your journey's pathways :D

  3. I'm applying for a K-1 visa at the Paris embassy.

As far as time frames go: It's been 3 weeks since the embassy received my package from NVC (one month since NVC sent the package). The girl at NVC confirmed the date it was mailed, and someone signed my package at the embassy, according to the information from the DHL website.

I have looked at other Visa Journey Paris embassy applicants, and their timelines all say they got theirs within 2 weeks.

It costs 15 dollars per MINUTE to call the embassy (sounds like extortion to me) so that's out.

Is there any way to look up the information online using my NVC case number? Is there any other way to reach the embassy? It cannot possibly take this long to send the package across town.

What happens if they did lose it?

I would email the embassy and inform them who signed the DHL package. I had to do the same along with the waybill number from the DHL website. Once I gave them that information, they went in the back (as they said) and found the case. 15 dollars per minute wow! :wow: Talk about highway robbery! Good luck

  4. Hi everyone! My interview was April 4 at 6:30am. The CO asked me a lot of questions which I didn't expected but thank God for giving me such wisdom, I was able to answer all his

question confidently. It took more than 10 mins. before I heared him saying, "Ok, your visa is approve,..." Thank you Lord.

Woohoo congratulations!!:dance: I'm sure a big party is in store when you two get to the states :D

  5. We recently filed our I-129f and are wondering what the time frame might be? That is, what is the quick end of the NAO1-NAO2 time frame? Thanks everyone for the pre-filing advice that helped with the application!

Usually between the 4 to 6 month timeframe to get the NOA2. I have seen some get approval as fast as 2 weeks. Mine, for example, took 189 days. Just a little over 6 months. Good luck to you!:thumbs:

  6. Hi Everyone,

I am new on this site. My co-workers told me about Visa Journey because they know my situation. I am a older woman who happens to fall in love with a very lovely young Nigerian man who lives in Lagos State. In the beginning of our relationship, I was a little skeptical because my eldest child is only 5 years younger than my fiance. I know I'm a little , but what can I say; I'm in love. (L)

Not too long ago, I got pregnant by my fiance and we lost our child. :( I am still depressed about it and don't think I could ever get over the pain. My fiance has been amazingly strong and up-building to me even-though the miscarriage affected him too. Any way, we want to try for another child, but of course after marriage.

Please give me some information that can help our case. Is there a place on here, where I can read about the beneficiaries interviewing experiences and things we should expect from Nigeria's Embassy? Happy to meet you and thank you in advance. :)

Welcome to VisaJourney :star: Yes there is a plethora of information available to you on this website that will definitely help you. Also, there are many many people trying to get their loved ones' visa from Nigeria who also can assist you. Preparation and consistency is the key as you embark and endure this journey. Again, welcome to our family and God bless!:D

  7. We had the oath ceremony today at the City Hall in New Haven VT. The children fromthe school next door had decorated the room with hand made flags for the countries of each of the 39 people taking the oath today. And collages of photos and information on each of the countries. It was quite an art gallery! There were new citizens from 3 from Ukraine, 2 from Russia and 1 from Belarus (For my fellow RUB members interest).

The American Legion provided an honor guard, damn it is good to see M1 rifles still serving our country somewhere, they couldn't choose a better one. Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts were the "ushers" to seat the guests and also led the "Pledge of Allegience" The Beeman Grade School choir sang the National Anthem, "This Land is Your Land" "My Country 'Tis of Thee" and our state song "These Green Mountains"

Really nice. The whole community was honored to be chosen for the ceremony.

So Alla got her certificate and changed her name to mine. I guess she decided I was a "keeper" after all.

Thanks to all the VJ members and good luck to all of you.

Now that's what I call a nice ceremony!! Woohoooooooooooo congratulations!!!:dance::dance: M1 rifles along with Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts wow! I am speechless! Many congrats on completing your journey..........job well done!

  8. We're in need of some good news ... Hopefully in the form of a K1 Visa! Mauro has his interview in Madrid this afternoon. Please wish us luck and feel free to let us know what to expect, especially if you've interviewed at the U.S. Embassy in Madrid. We'll submit a review once the process is complete.

We wish you all the best of luck on your own visa journeys! We know it's not an easy task and it's definitely not for the faint of heart, but just remember to let love lead you back to each other. And don't forget to stay positive every step of the way!

    Best regards,

    Lana & Mauro

You have my luck and my prayers with you  I don't know anything about the Madrid embassy. From a few of the comments I've seen regarding Madrid over the past months, it doesn't sound bad at all. They always ask: "How did you meet?" Just stayed focused and answer the questions. If you don't know the answer, just simply state "I don't know." Good luck today; I'm sure you will do well.:D

  9. After 200 days of waiting and hours waiting by the phone for her to call, she just informed me that we are approved and I will be seeing her soon. Thank you to everyone that has replied to all my questions and for making this process less painful in making sure everything was done right. The guidance from you all has been a God sent and I am sure we will be back on here after the wedding as we go through the AOS process and then some.....thanks again to everyone and God bless!!!

Congratulations!:dance::dance: So happy for the two of you!! Good luck with the rest of your journey :D
