  1. So I work night shift and at 8:30pm EST I felt my phone vibrate. Since it was very busy, I finally got to check my phone around 9pm and noticed I had an email. I pushed the button and I saw it said USCIS :o So, I took a deep breath and began reading and scrolling.

Our K-1 petition has been approved :dance::dance: It was a long wait but I thanked God as soon as I saw the word "approved" I will continue to pray for all VJers who are waiting for their moment. Godspeed to you all!!

Thank you VisaJourney for this remarkable website as I will continue to use it for the rest of our journey :D

  2. Thanks for the replies thus far. :)

There isn't too many people with a II, III or IV after their name, but hopefully somebody will know. I think it's safe to follow the format on my US Passport.

On another note, using all CAPS when filling out all the I-129F forms in Adobe as a PDF File is fine correct?

    Thanks again,

    J

Hey I have Jr. after my name. So I put my last name in all caps as per USCIS rules. Then put a comma and typed my Jr. It looked like this: Edwin Thomas KING, Jr. I hope this helps :) Good luck to you.

  3. I just sent out my I-129f packet on the 22nd. We are hoping for a speedy process. I will keep my fingers crossed! It should be sent to the Vermont center...i have read a lot of good things about that one so i hope it goes there. I live in Virginia so we will see!

I wish you the best. I'm from Tennessee and my petition went to VSC. If you have no RFE, you will get your NOA2 at the 5 month mark. I would have gotten mine in December but I somehow missed a question and received an RFE instead. Good luck to you

Premeditated on his part! No doubt about it he had plans regarding entry into the United States and then moving on to do who knows what. Listen to your muslim sisters and brothers who have commented to you. Let them help you and stand firm and strong  I wish you the very best and I will pray for you. This will work out and he will get his..........karma is a b&*ch

  6. Hi everyone,

As some of you may know if you have read my previous post I was refused entry from the US not too long ago because I couldn't prove enough ties to my home country to visit under the VWP for 83 days. The officer that dealt with me was extremely flirtatious saying that I should "marry an immigration officer because I would have no trouble then" and saying that I would have "way more fun with him" than my boyfriend. Well I thought that this was probably something that they weren't allowed to do but just wanted to move on with what I was going to do next....today I received an email from this immigration officer saying that he hoped I arrived safely and he hadn't been able to stop thinking about me since I left. I'm not entirely sure where he got my email from but you do have to put it on the form when you enter and I did have to write it down about 2 other times when they were processing me. I have told my boyfriend and he's quite angry about the whole situation and he wants to do something about it, probably going down to the airport and making a complaint. I'm just wondering if anyone has been through a similar experience and if you have, did you take action?, did anything happen? I'm just a little bit worried about the fact that I complained making visits to the US more difficult in the future....But on the other hand I don't think any immigration officer or anyone who has such authority should be allowed to talk to anyone the way that he talked to me surely it's important to just do your job....

Simply and refutedly absurd!:angry: These "officers" are supposed to be professional. Think about it. You are coming to the United States and you have a officer who is flirting with you?! Really?!! They are really setting a nice example huh?:wow:

So so sorry this happened to you! I will definitely be bringing my sweetie through Atlanta knowing this! I commend you for handling the situation well. He should be reprimanded harshly if not terminated. However, nothing will probably happen. I also love the fact that your boyfriend went to the news. I'm sure they are having a field day with this one :D

Anyway, not all Americans are like this. I wish you and your boyfriend the very best in your endeavours.

Correction: I meant to say I will definitely NOT be bringing my sweetie through Atlanta!!! No way no how!

    Have a great day.

  7. I try not to, as a matter of fact i have work by day..just that since i have the access to the internet at work i just can't help but open the USCIS site

I work 60 hours a week and I am just like you. I have to look lol  I have a little under a month and I will hit the 60 day waiting mark according to USCIS. So, I'm going to Laos for a month to see my sweetheart :D We will practice many many times acting an interview. I will be the interviewer of course but we may switch roles just to see what she would ask me. I leave Jan 27 and I can't wait to see her!

I will pray for all of us July/August filers. Our time IS coming soon! Just hang in there, stay busy, and pray  Have a wonderful day!

1015am - interview with an American Consul at Window 66. He looked like a really nice man. Interview lasted for 5 mins only, asked the name of my fiance, if we've met before, what he does and said YOUR VISA IS APPROVED just wait for ur number to be called again.

Thank you Visa Journey. This site helped us a lot :)

Congratulations! So happy for you both.

  9. We are July filers too...we received an RFE November 18,2011 and we sent USCIS our response and the necessary documentation that they asked last December 12, 2011. We are still waiting for our NOA2 to date. It is so heart-breaking that we were apart during the holidays. It has been a very long journey and still is, six months is like eternity. We do hope and pray that we will be together on Valentines Day! Vermont Service Center please make it happen for us. And to you my prayers, hope we will be getting our NOA2 soon. Good luck and God bless

I am almost exactly with your timeline! We received a RFE only because I somehow missed answering a question on the I-129f form :bonk: The USCIS sent me notification on December 13th that they received my response to the evidence requested. You can read my timeline where I called my congressman for assistance. Let's continue to pray earnestly that we get our NOA2 very soon.

  10. Hello Friends,

Has anybody used the Provisional Letter after recieving NOA-2? If so, in your opinion, did it speed up the Interview Process?

    Thank you guys,

    Kelly C

I would say that it would most likely speed up the process in obtaining an interview quicker. Please let me know how it goes. Good luck to you and have a wonderful day.

  11. ok can any one give me any advice?? :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:

Like the majority here are saying: focus on the green card first and foremost! While you are waiting for that, find another place to stay; apartment, condo, etc. You MUST take care of yourself.......always take care of #1 ok? Then, get a job and start making some money. After 6 months to a year, then start thinking about what you want to do. Either stay in the US or go back to your native country.

I'm very sorry for what has happened to you. People like him make this immigration thing even harder with longer waiting periods!! My prayers are with you and may God protect you in your time of strife.

  12. I am so happy to announce that finally after waiting for five months. My K1 is approved today at USCIS.

I hope that the journey at NVC and then embassy is smooth and done in 2-3 months , because we are planning a big wedding this June. :)

Thanks to all VJer's for support.

    [/quote

Congratulations to the both of you :dance::dance: Yes, the process will go much faster now so hurry up and get prepared with the rest of the paperwork before the interview  Again, congratulations!

  13. I filed the i29f fiance visa and sent it in on october 7 and recieved a letter and an email back that it was recieved and it is in initial review. It is now january 10 a little more than 3 months since then and I havent recieved anything else and It is still at initial rievew on the uscis website. Im starting to get a little worried. Is there something I should have done that I havent or was there something I was suppose to recieve in this period of time. I really dont want to mess this up my fiance is really all I have in this world and we truely need eachother and need to be with eachother. I need a little help or guidence. What should I do. Should I call them? If so which office would I call or service center. Im completely lost here. Please help me. Thank you for your time.

If you don't get a RFE, you should be hearing something in a month or two. I got an RFE for initial evidence. Somehow, I missed answering a question and I'm still waiting. As everyone else is saying, don't panic yet, and your NOA2 will be here before you know it
