KC & SC got a reaction from Scotty23 in advance parole? help/ experiences
I don't know there is a time limit. But if you go back for a very long time, you maybe asked questions at CBP or by immigration officer.
My card arrived in about 3 and  half months and I went back to my home country for about 40 days.

Yesterday, someone from Dept of Justice called me.  Even though I-9 says employers should not to ask for specific document, there are exceptions to certain type of jobs such as goverment jobs. So USPS can request 10 year GCs. I asked her if those explanations of exeptions can be added to I-9 but she said  there are too many exceptions and if those are added to the form, form will be too long . Before I received a call from Dept of Justice, I have already withdrawn from all of positions at USPS I applied so that I and USPS won't waste times. I would have been rejected at the time of background check anyways.

KC & SC got a reaction from David & Diana R in RFE is bank statement really needed?
I misunderstood the whole process. I thought we can provide different documents of proof by choosing from the list instead of the ones USCIS pointed out.
Since we submitted in original I-751, now I know we have to submit whole documents to fix the issue.

KC & SC got a reaction from olah007 in Help! my I 485 has been pending for 2yrs 5 months
Like others day, contact your congressman.
My case was pending for 16 months and all USCIS says was my case was pending security checks.
I contacted my congressman and he contacted UCSIC straight away and they finally started moving my case.
In my case, after 16 months of waiting, they decided to ask for RFE. I am very very angry about
USCIS's services. They obviously left my file somewhere on the shelf or something for too long and noone cared
    until congressman was involved.

I just have to spill this out.
I went to open hire job interview at USPS today. The person in charge at the interview
said I HAVE to provide green card. So I pointed out the form I-9 and telling her to read the top part about
anti-discrimination. She kept saying "I know. I know", but she didn't know what I was talking about. So I told her
again to read that part. It seems to be something she didn't know that she can't demand green card from me to
prove the lawful status. Then she goes "I still need your proof of A number". I told her it is written on
my visa on my passport. ( pending I-751) Then she goes that  does not prove. I told her to check my SSN. It should prove
my lawful status with A#. She goes again " it is up to them(her manager) to decide".
It is so biased, as this woman was asking everyone their nationality which most of them were U.S. Citizens.
So if applicants answered as "yes to US Citizens" , why she didn't ask for proof????
Oh man, I was furious.  This woman knows nothing!!  I wish I could make a huge complaint to
her manager but don't know who to call. I already withdrawn from this postion. It is not worth precious time.
I was so discriminated. I went for another position's interview at same building in USPS, the lady who was making copies
of our D/L and SSN told me that I don't have to provide copy of my visa. So this lady know the process.

Unfortunately, many employers don't knwo our process with USCIS. I wish there was a document to present to
employers so that what they are doing is so wrong.
