I basically sent what Cherry did, but I also sent a paper from the person I have sponsoring my wife that stated we live in their home, free of rent. Oh and it stated how long we'd been living here, too.

I used the link above....it is helpful. It says "Government documents showing common address" is good evidence. Do you have anything like that, since you do not have a lease? Affidavits from friends or family do not have a lot of weight.

I've been noticing that people are not having face-to-face interviews, but are still receiving approval letters. Are couples not required to do interviews when removing conditions??
We did not have an interview. I don't know about others though.

congratulations
thanks!

Received letter of approval in mail. Letter is dated 12/10/14. Did not receive green card yet....and no, the website is still not updated, no email and no text. Only received approval letter in mail.

this is what the uscis website says when I log in.......If you do not receive your receipt notice by June 5, 2014, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283.
ugh.....our 6 months has passed on Nov. 5. So we continue waiting.

Its sad, isn't it....but true....a few more months
First March VSC filer has been approved, so we are getting closer. We should see VSC approving May filers in the next couple of months.
-
Vermont Service Center has begun approving February filers! At least they are finally working! Come on Vermont, you got some serious catching up to do!
-
With only 45% of January filers at VSC approved and 0% of Feb, March or April filers approved, I'm not optimistic of a quick result.
ugh!
-
California sure moving along! Congrats to the 2 approvals! Let's go Vermont Center!!!! Get off your butts and get working!

So as stated, my husband's biometric date is on the 12th. As i've been reading around, I know some people walk in early. How early can we walk in? And has anyone heard of someone walking in early to the Philadelphia USCIS location? Can you share their experience?
Thanks
Good question....I would like the answer too, we have to go to Philadelphia also!

Received Biometrics letter today. Scheduled for June 11. Yay!

Vermont Service Center (12 applicants, 0 approved - 0%)
VJName..............Date of I-751...NOA1 Date....Biometrics.....Approved
KARALYNN1971..........05/05/14......05/06/14......--/--/14......--/--/--
How is that possible? Posted on the 5th, received NOA on the 6th? (I assume the columns are date package posted and date NOA received).
no. Its the date on the NOA. Not the date I received it.

look here. This is very helpful with what evidence you need.

Received NOA1 today in mail! Receipt date 5/6/14

By the way, your profile says you filed in California - but the list in the thread shows Vermont. Maybe someone who knows how to could move you over from Vermont to California
When I filed the original petition 2 years ago, it went to California. I live in Jersey, so on the 1-751 instructions it said to send to Vermont.

Check finally cleared today.....should get paper in mail soon!

what website do I go to check the status? and what number are you guys talking about?
https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do
I go to that website. Once you get your noa1 it will give you a case number. You can create an account, and log in, and get the updates. I hope it will work with the i-751....at least I'm going to give it a try.

Sent my papers yesterday, and delivered to VSC today. Let the waiting begin.
-
G1145? What is that for?
I just looked. No, I didn't even know this form existed. I was able to log in to the uscis website....so, Once I get the paper, I can track it online using the number they give me.
-
Just mailed our form May 5. How do we track it once they receive it? Is there a link?

I haven't been on here in about a year (since my husband got here)....I can tell you our experience. Yes, all Syria cases go to Jordan. I don't know where in Syria your spouses are, but it will be extremely hard getting through the border legally. Yes, you hear the thousands crossing daily, but in truth, they turn most away! My husband was denied entry...but he did not back off. Your husbands will have to push through it. My husband had to argue for about one hour. He told them his wife is american, showed them the album I made online, with pics and words, and make sure that they have all the papers about the interview with them!!! That will be more proof too!
If they get through that, then the rest is easy. It took about one month from approval to interview. We had no ap, and he got his passport back with visa in 7 days. Good luck!
-
WOW!! Congrats I remember you from waay back in the November Filers Thread LOL, its great to have walked he journey along side!! My wife has her interview on the 9th of August
Yea...omg....back in November I knew nothing! This website has really been so helpful....
Congrats for interview date and good luck to you!!!
-
thanks everyone! And yes, as soon as he gets visa, he is booking flight the next day. At least he can stay in Jordan.....and I'm not worried about his safety there! Good luck to all of you!!!

So, my husband had his interview today....and he was approved.....no ap!!!! Yay! I was expecting it....dreading it....but prayers work! They kept his passport, said pay at aramex and will take 1-2 weeks. Omg! I'm so happy.
Just saying thanks to Darnell and Saylin, and to Mimolicious for being a friend. And thanks to everyone who helped.... I did not post much, most of the questions I had were answered in the guides, and wiki.
Keep up the good work, this site is extremely helpful....Good luck to all!

I realize you didn't get an rfe, I was just showing that a letter doesn't carry much weight. Hmmmm......the paper, is it written out like a lease, and signed by all parties, etc.....it may be better if it looks like a lease and not a letter. It shouldn't matter that you do not pay rent. I'm just trying to come up with ideas.....
and looking back.....I replied to the wrong post......sorry....my reply goes to Cherry79......
this is why I keep quiet ususally.....cos I mess up
