  1. I haven't received an RFE. Everything I sent shows our address. On the tax forms, I literally sent every page. For the paper written by our sponsor, that is our lease.

I realize you didn't get an rfe, I was just showing that a letter doesn't carry much weight. Hmmmm......the paper, is it written out like a lease, and signed by all parties, etc.....it may be better if it looks like a lease and not a letter. It shouldn't matter that you do not pay rent. I'm just trying to come up with ideas.....

and looking back.....I replied to the wrong post......sorry....my reply goes to Cherry79......

this is why I keep quiet ususally.....cos I mess up :(

  2. I basically sent what Cherry did, but I also sent a paper from the person I have sponsoring my wife that stated we live in their home, free of rent. Oh and it stated how long we'd been living here, too.

I used the link above....it is helpful. It says "Government documents showing common address" is good evidence. Do you have anything like that, since you do not have a lease? Affidavits from friends or family do not have a lot of weight.

  3. Vermont Service Center (12 applicants, 0 approved - 0%)

    VJName..............Date of I-751...NOA1 Date....Biometrics.....Approved

    KARALYNN1971..........05/05/14......05/06/14......--/--/14......--/--/--

How is that possible? Posted on the 5th, received NOA on the 6th? (I assume the columns are date package posted and date NOA received).

no. Its the date on the NOA. Not the date I received it.

  4. what website do I go to check the status? and what number are you guys talking about?

    https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do

I go to that website. Once you get your noa1 it will give you a case number. You can create an account, and log in, and get the updates. I hope it will work with the i-751....at least I'm going to give it a try.

  5. I haven't been on here in about a year (since my husband got here)....I can tell you our experience. Yes, all Syria cases go to Jordan. I don't know where in Syria your spouses are, but it will be extremely hard getting through the border legally. Yes, you hear the thousands crossing daily, but in truth, they turn most away! My husband was denied entry...but he did not back off. Your husbands will have to push through it. My husband had to argue for about one hour. He told them his wife is american, showed them the album I made online, with pics and words, and make sure that they have all the papers about the interview with them!!! That will be more proof too!

If they get through that, then the rest is easy. It took about one month from approval to interview. We had no ap, and he got his passport back with visa in 7 days. Good luck!

  6. So, my husband had his interview today....and he was approved.....no ap!!!! Yay! I was expecting it....dreading it....but prayers work! They kept his passport, said pay at aramex and will take 1-2 weeks. Omg! I'm so happy.

Just saying thanks to Darnell and Saylin, and to Mimolicious for being a friend. And thanks to everyone who helped.... I did not post much, most of the questions I had were answered in the guides, and wiki.

Keep up the good work, this site is extremely helpful....Good luck to all!
