    I hope I'm understanding this correctly; Your interview is scheduled and the time elapsed is less than a month? What is Jan 2020 then? Would it take long after the interview to get the approval? Which service center or state did your application go to?

    yes my interview is next month and they scheduled my interview in month so not sure hope to get approval after interview , Florida office ,

    Sorry but I don't understand your worries. Unless I miss something, IRS transcripts are not on the list that I pulled from the USCIS website. Why are you so worried about transcripts if you have the tax returns and the W2's of the last 3 years? (I'm assuming you applied N-400 based on marriage) Transcripts and tax returns are basically the same thing but different layout. If you have the tax returns its very wise to also take the W2's with you as supporting documents, that's it.

    Ok thank you for clear that out for me

    Hello,

    I recently received my parents interview dates. Immediately scheduled their medical required by the embassy. I am little worried about them as they are old. Anyone knows what sort of questions will be asked from them during the interview? any insight will be appreciated.

    There is nothing to worried about it interview will be between your parents  and officers  , if you file application for your parents they will ask about you jobs . where u living , how many room . etc .

    Your parents must to show them current address passport and birthday certificate etc ,

    One problem can be if your parents are sick and they need medical insurance in US , They cant get befits from government ,

    good luck

    Hi All,

    My husband is residing in Lahore, Pakistan right now and he passed his interview in October, 2018. The visa officer did not issue the visa and asked for a JointSponsor to be uploaded on CEAC website.

    We informed the embassy that the portal once submitted would not allow any "sponsors" to be added or deleted. There was an option before we submitted the documents for the interview but after the interview it is that we can only add supporting documents for EXISTING SPONSOR on the portal.

    The embassy is not the best at communication with us, it takes them weeks to respond and its usually vague. We finally got US TRAVEL DOCS to submit the joint sponsor for us and weeks after the embassy emailed us a one line demand to RESUBMIT "correctly filled I864", we are trying to reach them again through email and calls, they are not taking the document through any other means now. They keep asking us to submit it through CEAC web portal regardless of knowing that the portal is not  allowing us to ADD A JOINT SPONSOR. We uploaded it in the supporting documents area for the petitioner which was the only way to upload anything at all on the website, they emailed us weeks after saying to UPLOAD IT IN THE CORRECT TAB. The portal DOES NOT allow adding joint sponsor at this stage and we fail to understand: Where is that magical correct tab?

    Us Travel docs is also asking to upload it when there is just no way to upload it. Did anyone else go through this? Kindly help. Please. The embassy has kept his passport for 3 months now.

    Many thanks in advance!

    I never did upload anything documents online tho CEAS Web portal when Embassy request for joined sponsor documents , I send them tho mail service   , I am talking about back in 2013 , after Submit documents 65 days issued my visa tho biometric with finger print , Hope someone can answer your question , good luck

    Good morning everyone,

      My wife's citizenship interview is in two weeks an of course we are super excited.  We were looking for something to watch last night and saw a short documentary on Netflix called Out of Many, One.  Although "In God We Trust" is the official motto of  the United States, E Pluribus Unum has long been acknowledged as a de facto national motto.  E Pluribus Unum is Latin and is Out of many, one.  The film is only 34 minutes and at least in my opinion should be watched by anyone going through the citizenship process.  I will admit my wife and I both had tears at the end of the film.  Very powerful and touching film.  This is just my two cents but wanted to share this with all.

    May God bless each and every one of you.

    Elizabeth and John

    I will check it out later thanks for share

    Hey Kastrs, Thank you for replying to my post. I am already eligible for the 5 years. it's been actually 6 years since my conditional GC. I just wanted to know if there's a way to make them treat my application with the 5 year rule instead of the 3 so I won't have to apply for another petition and wait another year.

    You need to call USCIS office.

    1. Call 1-800-375-5283;
    2. Press 1 to continue in English;
    3. Press 2 for case status;
    4. Press 1 if you know your receipt number

    I guess we gonna have to wait til the oath ceremony is scheduled by USCIS, I will post the date right after I see it on my uscis account or receive it by mail.

    Do you think once uscis recommends for approval, we don't have to worry about it right?

    In fact, they made a correction on my application in the tablet that was sitting on his IO desk at time of my interview since I got detained by ice long time ago for DUI, specifically on the criminal question of the application, I thought crimes question refers to felony charge and stuff, that's what I told IO then he made me correct the application on the tablet. I hope it doesn't interfere on the process of my application, I really hope so!!

    best wishes to all of us!!

    Don't worried you will hear good news soon keep us update please

    Hi everyone,

    So we're in that dreaded situation where my husband's Schengen visa (Finland) is going to expire. In Russia, this was always so easy to get because you could just go down to the local office and apply, there was a kind of quid pro quo for people who lived near Finland so getting a Schengen visa was a painless process.

    Now, I'm trying to figure out how to do this here in the States. It seems you have to apply in person at a Schengen visa center in LA, San Francisco, Chicago, etc. In addition, they have tons of document requirements, such as hotels, proof of employment/student status, booked flights, etc. It's a nightmare of paperwork plus we will have to travel to another city merely to apply. I've never done this before (obviously, as a USC I have never needed a tourist visa to Europe).

    Does anyone have any experience with this? We want to buy plane tickets in advance but we don't want to buy plane tickets before he has a visa to Europe, but you need plane tickets to apply for the visa so it's a catch 22. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice if anyone has applied for this before. Thanks in advance.

    Hope this information can help you good luck

  16. Where you like to go in Europe ? depend on country you need to contact Consulate or Embassy ,

    If you stay in the U.S. on the basis of a United States Permanent Resident Card – or USCIS Form I-551, popularly known as the Green Card – your ability to travel to Europe without a visa will depend on the country that has issued your passport,

    Schengen Visa Requirements for US Green Card Holders and Permanent Residents
    • Visa application form – completely fulfilled with the required information. ...
    • A valid passport or Travel document. ...
    • US residence permit. ...
    • Photo – taken within the last three months. ...
    • A cover letter. ...
    • Round-trip Flight Itinerary.

    Yes of course - but I supplied all of that with the original application.  Sorry if I wasn’t clear in my original reply.

    What I was referring to was additional documentation to support the application at the interview, that may be relevant since the original application was filed.

    So in my original application I uploaded copies of our marriage certificate, our civil partnership from 2006 in the United Kingdom, bank accounts, credit cards, mortgage docs, drivers licenses showing same address, car insurance, wills, joint financial investments, 3 years of joint filed tax returns, a ton of photos of our life together over 20 years, joint subscriptions to art museums,  all that stuff.

    The only question I was asked at interview that wasn’t just confirming details on my application, was if I had any additional documents I wanted to support the marriage was still bonafide and I provided our joint 2017 tax return.  That was it.  I hope that makes it a little clearer.
