Dont worried about it just send an email to embassy and they will put you back to Admin so just wait and hang out there i know admin is nightmare

The relationship  with his father may not be in a place to even  do that. You can state the situation of his status  as you last knew .. then if asked,  state you are estranged from him and have no further knowledge

I agree with you but he need to tell IO truth , but this could be delay his application too if it was me even i have no great relationship with my dad i might still ask him it just me and would call him .

Hello, In the application it asks if any of my parents are us citizens and I put no.

My parents divorced about 10 years ago and I haven't talked to my dad probably 7 years and I'm not sure if he ever became one.

I have the Uscis interview tomorrow and if the officer asks me if any of my parents are us citizens should I tell them no or should I be clear and tell them that I am not sure due to not tallking to my dad for several years?

    Thank you.

Why not called your dad ask him hello after 7 years how is life treat you and things going on after that asking him if he ever become american citizen just simple things if you clear to tell officers that you are not sure them they might put you on discussion cant be made or either approved just few minutes phone to your dad not gonna hurts anything at all

    Good luck

    Hello all

I applied for n400 in june 2018 on 3 years marriage base.

I received an email today that my interview is scheduled for june 27 2019 in baltimore office.

I received the notice and it says that i have to bring the notice, green card and any evidence of selective service registration.

My question is my dob is 17/11/1986 and i came to USA on december 1st 2012 and according to that i arrived after my 26th birthday.

Should i get any type of letter from selective service or just take my passport with me which has stamp on it from dhs. From what i understood  at the time is that if one arrives  in the  USA after their 26th birthday then he doesnt need to register for selective service.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

    n-400 register for selective service
Applicants Under the age of 26

Applicants for U.S. citizenship under the age of 26 should expect to have Form N-400 denied if they choose not to register for Selective Service. By making the decision not to register, the applicant is willfully failing to meet this obligation, and the USCIS officer will be forced to deny the N-400 application based on the applicant’s moral character.

Applicants that are least age 18 and under the age of 26, can take action now to correct the problem. They can easily register for Selective Service by visiting www.sss.gov. Not sure if you have registered? Applicants can even create an instant Official Letter of Verification to get proof.

    n-400 register for selective service
Applicants Between 26 and 31 Years of Age

N-400 applicants between 26 and 31 years of age may be ineligible for U.S. citizenship. Again, applicants that “knowingly and willfully failed to register” or simply refused to register for Selective Service, should expect to have Form N-400 denied. On the other hand, USCIS will allow the applicant an opportunity to show that he did not knowingly or willfully fail to register, or that he was not required to do so.

Even if the reason for not registering was innocent, many immigration attorneys suggest it is better to wait until age 31 (if applying based on five years of permanent residence) or 29 (if applying based on three years of permanent residence while married to a U.S. citizen). The reasoning is that the applicant must show five years (or three years respectively) of good moral character.

Applicants under the age of 31 that want to proceed with naturalization (rather than waiting) may do so. The applicant will need to present evidence that failing to register for selective service was an innocent oversight and that he did not “willfully” avoid the requirement. Applicants should submit the following three items with Form N-400

    Hello All!

I was hoping somebody can answer my question. My naturalization interview is next Thursday and I have all my documentation ready. The only thing I’m missing is my original birth certificate. I have a copy of it and a certified translation of this certificate. I actually submitted my original document with my i-485 application few years ago. Is it going to be a problem if I have the copy of my birth certificate? Thank you so much!!!

I didn't have my original birth certificate officer never ask for it but in case keep copy of it , No problem

    Good luck

    Hello.

I have my citizenship interview next month.

I was reviewing the form and I found some errors that I didn't spot when I submitted it (I should have had someone to re-reviewed it before I submitted the papers, but well, it is already done)

I am a concerned if those errors will cause a delay in the decision or if it will even be a reason for denial.

    The errors were:

    1. I put my phone # instead of my work #.
    2. I said my husband only had 1 marriage, when he actually had 2, including me. However, I did provide information about the previous spouse and marriage and attached the divorce certificate.
    3. in section 12, when It asks if I belonged to the Nazi Government, I forgot to mark the boxes "NO". However, I was not even born at that time, so I guess it answer the question itself.
    4. in section 10, for current spouse's home address, I put the state instead of the county, nothing in the state box,  and for some reason, in the box "county (foreign address only") says unknown, which I really doubt I wrote that. But the address itself is the same as mine, since we life together of course.
    5. I forgot to add N/A or "none" to those questions did't apply to me.

I can't withdraw the papers at this time, so I just hope I don't have too many problems.

Do you think these errors will cause me problems?  I was reading that some minor errors or typos are easy to fix in the interview, but I don't know if this will be my case.

    Any advise?

Thank you in advance for your help.

No worried , You will have time to correct every information time of interview with officers , I got couple mistake online in my n-400 form and i correct it with officer was not a problem.

    Good luck

A friend of mine applied for B1/B2 visa and he wasn't refused, but, put on additional administrative processing.

Does anyone have experience with that? What triggers it? How long does it usually take?

    Thanks!

Administrative Processing means that the Consular Officer is sending the case from the Embassy/Consulate for further evaluation and screening. While the exact process is fairly opaque, that the applicant’s case has been sent from the Embassy/Consulate to a data center to be reviewed for criminal convictions, security risks, immigration violations or other irregularities and that the applicant’s case will be delayed.

    Good morning folks!

I have filed for N 400 and by mistake attached the wrong 1040. The thing is when we filed taxes last year, the CPA who was doing it made a mistake (with one of the credits), provided us with 1040 but I noticed a mistake and asked him to redo the taxes. So he did and sent us the second 1040 with corrections.

By mistake when filling out N400 online I attached the first 1040 (incorrect one).

USCIS scheduled me for an interview and while reviewing my case I noticed that I had attached the incorrect 1040.

So what do I do now? Attach the correct 1040 in my USCIS profile and bring it to the interview? Just bring the corrected 1040 to the interview and admit the mistake? Pretend that I did not find the mistake on my part?

    Thank you for your help.

I have some mistake online in my form and i do fix with officer at my interview no worried

    good luck

I filed my N400 application over the weekend (online), and on the case page that the estimated completion date is July 2021 (26 months). This is way longer than the processing times listed on the USCIS. Any insight from others who have filed online (versus by mail to service center)?
