Swingman_Tomoyo reacted to Hypnos in How to apply for US passport for my son if it's based on Child Citizenship Act?

You do not have to obtain a citizenship document, you can go right to a passport if that is your wish.

Swingman_Tomoyo reacted to JoannaV in Question on US citizen child and DS-230
As swingman's link explains, question 31 isn't asking about those who are accompanying the immigrant but those who are "accompanying" the immigrant, aka immigrating with the immigrant. Helpful terminology, huh.
However, don't worry about if you sent it off with you listed. I've known people do this before, and as far as I can tell they just ignore anything in this section if it is wrong. It would be important to fill in this section correctly if there really were other immigrating, but when that's not the case it's normally fine to have filled it in wrong :-)
Remember by the time of the interview you will need to prove income for a larger household than you have right now. Other than that, this shouldn't affect anything. You'll just have to get the child's passport etc sorted out before you can move. I'd take the child's birth certificate to the interview.

Swingman_Tomoyo reacted to ChrisPG in Can I staple my forms together in the package?
I stapled the individual pages of the Forms together. So I had a seperate I-130 stapled, I-864 stapled, I-485 stapled and anything other Form that had more than one page.
I then paper-clipped all of my supporting documentation including photos and payment to the related Form.

Swingman_Tomoyo reacted to Kevz in Tax Returns and Tax Transcript
No, they are different.
The tax return is simply a copy of what you sent the IRS.
The tax transcript is documentation provided by the IRS regarding the details of the tax return you filed. Since it is a document from a government agency, it is considered more "reliable". To get the tax transcript, just go to the iRS website and under Tools, select the option to get a tax return or transcript. For my wife's AOS, I ordered transcripts for three years and they came within 10 days.
