Thank you very much for your help really !

I sent a message to the French agriculture ministry but no answer I will call I think .

Embassy in Paris , cdc/ usda same boat . They don’t care .

I thought my vet will be more aware of what to do etc ..

foe the airlines we already looked and called XL airways and TAP and or cats are welcome ( with fees) in the cabin

You are very welcome. Not all vets are aware of many of regulations, specially to those who are never involved for transporting animals. I am on board with you about transporting pets in the cabin. I refused to put them in the cargo. Too many horrific stories and my youngest cat was very close to me and he had to see me all the times to calm him down.

We paid airlines fees for two cats (I believe it was $2500 total the whole one-way trip) , and the requirement was that we need a soft carrier in order to fit under seats. We also did not medicate our cats during our trip. And they both were fine after landed in the US. Wish you luck with your effort for your cat. It always bothers me when some people left their pets behind when they moved away and neglected them. Most of these poor pets eventually either ended-up in shelters or died for trying to survive.

    Keep me posted.

    Hi!

Thank you for you answer and your help .

the problem for me right now is that I don’t find all the requirements for my country  My veterinary is not very concerned or helpful because it’s the first time he has this situation and he asked me to search .

we already have for both of the cats the EU passport , rabies vaccinations, micro chips but we need to know if there is this blood analyse to do ( antibody titration ) what are the requirements for the protection against flees and how many days before flying we need to bring them for a last check up to the veterinary , he told me that he doesn’t know of how long will the certificate of good health need to be at the entrance in USA .

i feel lost because we contacted cdc/usda and they just provide general info .

Embassy in Paris transfer you from a service to an other as usual . And other consulate don’t answer .

I just want to fly and be sure that I will have no problem for my cats because one paper is missing ..

I did blood work for my youngest cat because he was not old enough to get rabies vaccination. Unfortunately I can't speak French, therefore, I have my limits to help you regarding Pets Regulation in France by looking up online. What you can do is that you need to contact a government department (local or national)  that handles animal welfare. I did a lot of research, months prior our leaving, and I knew which departments that handle those matters. I believe French Agriculture Ministry will be a right institution to get the correct answer.

US Embassy in Paris does not involve bringing your pets to the US. So, it was just wasted of your time. You need to contact your local or national government to get a valid info. CDC/USDA, as I said, they don't really care. The immigration officer did not even take a glance to my papers.  You also need to start asking which airline that allows you to bring your pets. Some of airlines banned transporting specific breed of cats and dogs. You need to be aware of that.

    Hi guys,

ok today I have a question a little bit special . It’s for my cats lol

we bring them in USA with us and went to the veterinary for the passport , vaccinations etc but he don’t find some info and .. now it’s up to us to find them ..

anyway ..he is the only one around ..

so if someone can help me because I look everywhere , send mail but no answer ..
The vet asks me to provide information on what follows:
     - What is the antibody titration required for transport to the USA?
     - what are the mandatory / proscribed parasitic suppressants according to the states.
     - what is the delay for the clinical examination before departure.

thank you for your help !!!

    Hello,

I brought my two cats from Indonesia back in 2014. First, you should research what the requirement from your country regarding bring out pets. Indonesia was really strict about the requirement, unfortunately follow the rules from Britain. I had to complete the full vaccinations such as rabies and any other documents that were on the list.

Second, keep in mind, the US is really pet-friendly country. Except, Hawaii and Guam,  that require to quarantine your pets up to 3 months. Those state and territory are rabies-free. Other than that, bringing pets to the US was a breeze.

I did not have a trouble to bring my two cats to the US. The immigration officer did not even ask my papers that I had a hard time to obtain. The only institution that asked me permission papers was the airline. And it was an Asian airline. The American ones did not care at all, lol.  When I entered the immigration line, the officer just asked me," Is it a cat? I can see the paws sticking out". I said yes and in which he replied back," oh that's cute". And that was it. No question was asked about my pets during our connecting flights in the US.

If you need more info, let me know.

NICE! That's the way to look at it! Great example you are setting here : )

Thank you! Again, if it sounds I was bragging then I am apologized for that. I just wanted people see a lot of opportunities and learning experience you could get rather than sitting in front of your laptop and complaining why approval hasn't come yet.

To tell the truth, I sometimes feel uneasy have seeing adult people who have been through long distance relationship like this and long process of immigration still don't get it. If you could passed the long process at the first stage then why this make any different?

Trying to keep track of numbers is a mission of futility.  Best to exert your time and energy into something more fun...like taking a hike, try new food or restuarant or better yet imo, have a flight of beer at a local brewery.

I did this number gig back when it took forever to get our I-130 approved and I drove myself crazy.  Trust me, don't do it.  Get fresh air, mingle, play with your SO, get some sun, volunteer.....instead.

    This is epic, lol!

I kept saying to people about “patience is a virtue” since I started K-1 visa in 2013 up to now at RoC stage. I got a lot backlash comments regarding that - you could see the responses of my comment regarding “patience is a virtue” on this thread as well (*sigh-oh humans*)

Not try to brag, but I would like to show how much I had accomplished within a year after I filed for I-751, June 2017

    1. I read about 50 books from local library, Hoopla, and OverDrive. If I wanted to read magazines, RBDigital is my choice. Book topics ranging from The General vs The President by HW Brands to cookbooks such as How to Bake Everything by Mark Bittman. Oh Michael Wollf,” Fire and Fury” was a good one as well as Hillybilly Elegy by JD Vance. I'm now reading A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership by James B Comey Jr.

    2. I finished four online  courses on Coursera from American laws to business entrepreneurs topics

    3. My husband and I visited a lot of local farmer markets and festival of arts such as Tempe Festival of Arts, Phoenix Festival of Arts, named a few good ones

    4. I'm started my small online business. Attending ASU started up business classes at Glendale Public Library (AZ). Talked to my suppliers from overseas was a fun, lol

    5. I started gardening and composting ( I failed to be frank but it won't stop me)

    6. I started learning ASL (American Sign Language) because I am now working as a part time at one event organizer (EO) in my state ( some of audiences have disabilities). This EO handled a lot of concerts such as Taylor Swift concert recently in Glendale. Happy to watch the concert for free though I am not a fan of Tay Tay. Beyoncé will coming in September this year.

    7. I'm started again my mystery shopping that stopped a few years ago. I got free groceries and got paid for that, eating out for free, you could also get opportunity to stay in hotel for free, massage, many activities that you got paid by doing it

    8.  I'm learning knitting and crocheting (hey, it doesn't have to be grandmas)

    9.  We adopted another kitten that came to our backyard

    10. Attended classes that were provided by City of Glendale for residents

    11. Joined Samsung Health Challenge for Walk. I am down from 108 lbs to 89 lbs incorporated with SweatCoin and Holiday Challenge in Facebook. I'm 4’11” by the way, lol.

    12. Just downloaded RobinHood App and started trading stocks

Now, I don't understand why people don't see a lot of opportunities here yet chose to focus on small thing like “when my I-751 will get approved or why other people were approved faster than me”. It will drive you nuts. Remember, time flies fast, you just have to see it happens. It doesn't have to be a genius to calculate the math.

See the other side of your point of view and you will see how many things are waiting need to be seeing as an opportunity!

    Just my two cents!

Hmmm, Am I missing something? This person’s info make no sense to me.. He/she lives in Pennsylvania and the filing service center should be Vermont?! Thoughts?

If you read one of his posts, he actually have had mentioned that somehow his lawyer filed it at CSC. I don't know how often could happened like that and  the service center won't return your package.

While you are right in saying patience is a virtue there are anomalies.  Someone not to long ago posted getting approved too but I can't remember what month or what service center.  Could be the same person.  Still without a pattern and more proof its difficult to be certain that, yes, our cases were transferred to the local offices. One must remember too, that there are all kinds of situations and circumstances, we are not all the same.

I will hold all hope until told otherwise however.

I do not travel of of the country. That's probably the reason why I don't bother how long the process it takes. It might sounds annoying to many of you but I just simply stated the truth.

I remember when I had my AoS a while back and someone got approved ahead of me even though I filed earlier. Sounds unfair? Maybe. At least to what my husband's opinion. But fortunately I didn't get any interview while this friend had one and got grilled for some unknown reason.

You are certainly right about  there are many factors involved for the approval faster than the others which is involving situations, circumstances, and conditions that unbeknown to us. But, I won't hold my grudge against to those whose got faster approval or the government that is quite known to public how slow they handled things in process. ( And we aren't just talking about immigration process). But most of the administrative stuff.

    Just my two cents.

  10. I had my biometric done today (7/20/2017). My appointment was at 9:00 am.  It took 30 minutes to drive to go there. Oddly enough, my husband and I had to remove our shoes and put all of our stuff in two separate bins and we went through a metal detector. Total approximately time from came in and out from the building that located in downtown Phoenix was about 30 minutes. The biometric took just less than 10 minutes. The Phoenix ASC employee was super nice and friendly.

  11. Hi Folks,

I begun to noticed that something is happening with fellows VJ whose haven't received biometric appointment letters yet. This isn't only happening to those whose filed for RoC. This is also happening to people who are now processing for AOS. I read a couple days ago that one of them had difficulty to get their biometric appointment letter and they filed back on March, I believe.

Who here, if anyone, received a reminder notice to begin the ROC process?

I did not and have not moved. Hummmmm????

Curious in knowing...not that it matters (I was to file at the end of the month but didn't mail it until first week of July but would like to know why I didn't get one if this is standard procedure.

    Me.

My reminder was sent to me, ( with the old address and forwarded to another old one and then finally got to our new one), in March and my early filing was actually on April 11. But I did not file until Mid-June because we were busy for other things. And I had address changed right after we moved in to a new address.

Well, people that sent in their documents after my date already got biometrics letters and I haven't. Making me worried. I don't want to miss my appointment because my letter didn't arrive on time. Any thoughts? Should I wait till it's officially 30 days since as their instructions say and then schedule an infopass?

That is odd. I filed after you and have already got my biometric appointment. Maybe you should call them to find out.

That's what I'm thinking of right now.... I wish I remembered that USCIS guy's name, but anyway - big thanks for what he's done.

It is rare to find a gem like that. That's why I always asking names of people that I talked to regarding their outstanding performance of customer service. They should get rewarded even just a nice comment on social networking.
