Hiya! I got my DX parcel at 10:20 this morning! My interview was on the Tues 3rd so so I make that 5 working days (I think). I was worried I was cutting it fine though I don't fly until the 20th.

Oh, forgot to say that DX sent me a text to say it was coming today so I was forewarned. Perhaps you should give them a call if you've not heard anything? Fingers crossed for you xx

i will thank you. after reading this it says we should have been given 221g and notification of further processing. it also says a number was assigned to rererence the list. how can we know if we are on the list if the 221g and number were not assigned?

thank you SO MUCH for letting me pick your brain. =) i will call our senator tomorrow and see if they will help us. the only way to get a hold of london embassy is to pay 16 us dollar for a ten minute call to a deluxe answering service type person who says please email the embassy for info and then you email and they give the the standard email"in AP timeframe unknown". its all very upsetting. do you think the senator had a part in you getting the approval?

Yes I do, as I called about what day they were processing and I was told they were still processing back to June and I could not put in a service request. Call back in 3 weeks.

Well, there are more forms and another $1070 for AOS for the green card. You will also require another medical at a civil surgeon to transcribe the medical history to an I-693 form. This can be anywhere from $150 - $500. But do your research. More than $150 is way too much.

what! really? i had read about the $1070 for AOS and was freaked out. does the 1-693 need to be done at the same time as AOS? should we plan for that? is there a list of these scoundrels docs somewhere? good grief. i dont mind eating potatos as long as we can be together =D chris says he would watch me eat potatos and be ok too.my funny man. <3 we are blessed.

When you get the medical make SURE you get a copy of the DS3025. Most consulates don't give this up. Some people can get by during AOS just sending this and not having to do the medical or transcribing to the I-693. When you send your AOS packet make sure to send in for work auth and AP at the same time. It's free when filing all together. Just a lot to think about. So don't worry about the wait. This is a lot of work.

wouldnt it be amazing IF that were true. i feel kinda numb and hopeful that this could happen. i did email the embassy after the 866 extortion line told me we were being admin processed and to eamil and inquire with london. then got an auto reply saying it was mandatory AP.

Ok so don't quote me on this but I think there has just been a delay with processing your visa and your not actually in AP. I hope so anyway

to be honest we dont feel nervous at all...all we need to do is answer their questions honestly the way we spend our days and lives every moment. he knows most everything about me and me the same about him...we feel ok so far....maybe as it gets closer then the butterflies will begin!!!!

thank you, in manchester he did aerotech work. he found a job here quickly that he is way overqualified for but it is a job and he is happy for now.

I wish you both the best. My DC3025 was incomplete, needed one for MMR shot( 1 month booster). Unfortunately that costed us $400. If your's is complete don't worry until you get a RFE. best px

Oh, that is wonderful news!!!! Congratulations!

We got our licence on Friday but haven't set a date yet. Everything is going good but Mr had a minor stroke 3 days after I got here so have spent a fair bit of my time here at the hospital with him. Anyway, need to make some calls now to find a judge to do the honours!

The best thing I can tell you is just have PATIENCE. The US Gov is extremely slow and seems to go at one pace. I would love to take a day to just see what these people do all day..Just curious

my income is sufficient however my 2011 taxes will not meet the requirement as a result of taking that time off. do you think this will be a problem?

a letter from your employer and a few months pay stubbs will show your income is high enough and you could take both 2011 and 2010 tax stuff and then explain the difference for 2011... that is if they even care as the letter and pay stubbs should be enough.

good luck AOS wasnt that hard at all i didnt think and im sure it will all go smoothly for us. im still waiting to get my NOA1 but my package only got delivered a couple of days ago
