I know there's nothing I can do but wait, but that doesn't make things any better.
I sounded the alarm in dec-jan about the CSC under processing K-1s, and was assured then that it would be soon, happens every year, blah blah blah.
The sputum: I always knew it would be a possibility, and it happened, but you know what? They said it would take 8 weeks, an it took 8 weeks. And TB is a serious concern, so all in all, it is understandable. Not that I like it, but it is a legitimate excuse.
The delay at CSC? A buch of BS. BS July 19th date, BS customer service line and agents, BS service requests, BS ombudsman office, BS excecutive memo, BS congressman office (who have just proven themselves to be pawns of the excecutive branch instead of an independent branch of government)...basically BS all the way through the system, from top to bottom.
I am getting similar feelings with this visa issuing now. I certainly don't think it will be much longer, but I also felt that way in December...then January....get burned once....
If someone would give me a legitimate reason why it is taking longer (we need to do x,y,and z before we can issue the visa) then I could accept that. But seeing some get visas in hand before one week, and not having mine even issued yet...what could possibly be different about our case? I'd like to hear what it is.
Really, after the USCIS BS, I could be getting the gold star expedite treatment now and I'd still be pissed...to late to take the bad taste out of my mouth, unless they could go back in time.
The thing is, they (whoever is making these decisions) is a nameless faceless far away person. I will be patiently waiting when I will be able to look someone in the eye here giving me any BS excuses, whether a civil surgeon trying to soak me with unneeded exams, or a local USCIS personel giving un-concise excuses. My tolerance for even the smallest transgression at this point is <0.

Oh, like Afghanistan?WGAF. If there wasn't any oil in the region, would America commit itself?

We may get lucky, but who knows.I'm interested to know how you are so certain that 2GO isn't going to text her today (Friday in Manila) or Monday?
What I do know is that this is their last chance to f#c& me over...it's been the opposite of how I thought it would be. Everything Filipino that my fiancée has had to do (CFO, NBI, NSO) has been smooth and professional.
The USCIS and their BS 5 month goal process-as-little-as-they -want-to-you-get-approved-whenever-the-hell-we-feel-like-it was the first bunch of malarkey my government has given me in this process, and now I can see that the visa issuance is also subject to a process-when-we-feel-like-it system, based on several posts just on the first couple of pages in this section.

Still Ready and AP, not issued.

5184 is just a recording , 5185 is ringing off the hook right now(and burning up my Skype credit). IV has already been emailed, and my fiancée already called them today and they said it hasn't been issued and they don't know when it will be.. The IV unit's phone number (from the U.S.) is 632-301-2000 extension 5184 or 5185.
But I will try again in the morning, thanks for providing a target for my rage.

Each civil surgeon that still wants to over charge you and give un-needed exams or vaccinations, show them the above information, and then tell them you are going to report them to the local USCIS director.

According to your timeline, it's only been eight days.
Oh, so if it's issued today, the visa will magically appear in my fiancee's hand, and it will be only 8 days!11!1
Except, it's the 16th in Manila, so that's 9 days...but there is that issue of the visa molecular transporter not being invented yet, so it needs to be couriered over to her town.
So if it isn't issued today, then "maybe" it's issued monday...and if we assume a quick 2 days delivery, then wow, it will be 14 days on wednesday.
But wait!! It's not your lucky day, Tahoma. Wednesday the 21 is Ninoy Aquino Day!!!! Yea! Another non-working holiday!!11!!!. So then, it may get there on thursday, which is... let me count...,15 days...7 days are in a week...so yeah, beyond 2 weeks.
-
Well, if it isn't issued today, we are not getting it within normal 2 weeks.
-
My fiancee already emailed them. She was able to call them in the Philippines, but they say the visa has not been issued yet, and they don't know when it will be.

(214) 571-1600 or (646) 254-3546?
The 214 number is always busy, and the 646 number has a recording claiming that it isn't a working number.
I can't find the 646 number on the embassy website, but the 214 number is still listed.

Ha ha, we have a flight, but no visa...

Good luck finding one in Hawaii that isn't part of the "good ole boys network" that will soak you for all they can, all with Aloha and Mahalo!
A search reveals this old post, so hopefully he's still around, eh?

She called them and they said no she couldn't do that. If you want to do it on a day other than your flight you have to go to the office.
But, she is going to get it just before her flight. The flight is at 7:40am, so it will be close.
We will be in a similar situation, unless the embassy gets off their @$$e$ and issues the visa real soon.

Depends on when your visa is "issued". There seems to be large variability for how long that takes.

Thank you!.... quite a long wait to get the 2pm slot though.... I will just try the morning if it didn't work, i will take the afternoon slot.
She did say that, although she reserved a spot for the afternoon session in the morning, it wasn't full and there were a few who just came in the afternoon.
-
Hi,
What time your fiancee went to CFO to get the afternoon slot? Thank you in advance.
She went to the CFO at 7 am to get the afternoon slot. She was doing the sputum, so she didnt need to spend much time at St Luke.

My fiancee completed the CFO on the afternoon of her day 2 of the medical...probably the easiest part of the journey for her so far, followed closely by the Embassy interview.
TB testing before the medical...you could get an x-ray, but just because it shows it is clear, doesn't mean that the one they take at St Luke won't show anything funny. Seeing as the medical is fairly soon, I doubt getting an x-ray now would save you any time.
-
Sounds OK, Make sure the CFO is open the day you want to go (not a holiday or weekend). You can also get the sticker at the airport, but again, make sure there is enough time.
We have a flight on a tuesday morning, so it would be a bit close to try to get the sticker at the airport (although they are supposedly open early).
But, monday is a holiday. So for us, the friday before would be the latest safe time to get the sticker, but she doesn't want to spend her last several days in the Philippines in Manila, so we are hopping the Visa gets delivered in time so she can go to Cebu CFO to get the "steecker". Of course a delayed visa issuance will make all our plans moot.

If you are a K1 and already married, you don't need the appointment letter.
-
Considering that was provided by the embassy last week, perhaps the embassy needs to update the information they give out.

Status still says Administrative processing...grrrr....
