  1. No need.

"I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status.I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form (sealing the original in an envelope and giving you a copy)."

  2. Your marriage makes the extension of your I-94 unnecessary. You should have applied for SSN at least 14 days from POE, then got married, then go back to SS office to change maiden name to married name if preferred. All should be done prior to I-94 expiring and in order. We did this and we got no problem whatsoever. Sad to say but SS won't make changes on your SSN when they'll see that you got married first prior to filing SSN. I read a lot of same cases here on VJ.You'll be able to change things when you will have you green card approved if I'm not mistaken.

  3. You just have to wait. Some get's transferred to CSC until a decision is made without any interviews(mostly adjusting from K1).Some are transferred to their local USCIS office and gets interviewed. At the moment the average waiting time for AOS approval is between 6-8 months. Some get lucky and gets approved between 3-4 months from NOA1.Goodluck on your journey.

  4. Received mine 8 days after my interview date.Btw, you can call the embassy after your interview and ask for the status of your visa.If they say that it was being issued already on date xx-xx-2012, then that's the time to call 2Go to track your visa. That's what I did.Goodluck!

  5. My timeline is similiar to yours, and my NOA1 is only about 5 days later, however, my transfer date is about few weeks later, I am really hoping to get something really soon too. Seems like you also had an RFE and still got it pretty fast. Really crossing my fingers so may be we will get approved soon as well.

You'll get it soon don't worry. Just keep the faith :) :) :)

  6. Hi there. We're on the AOS process too.We got transferred to CSC and was approved without any interviews.(See my timeline below)

Overall,it really is a case to case basis. Most that were transferred to CSC got approved without interviews while others that were transferred at their local USCIS office got interviewed.I can't also say that being interviewed will get approval faster compared to not having interviewed. As what we experienced, we were approved less than 4 months without interview.

  7. Holy cow, that's a quick decision with no interview!! Congrats!!

We just got our approval too today....9 months later...and with Senator and Congressman help, lol.

    Let's Celebrate!

Thank You! And Congratz to you too! Well actually we experienced waiting 7 months and asked the help of my hubbys congressman during our K1 visa process too.Boy that took forever :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: . Thank God our AOS process is a bit faster for us this time.:wacko::blink:

  8. Thank you God! :D:) After almost 4 months, from NOA1 to being transferred to CSC then RFE'ed, greencard in production!

  10. Great  Then you're good to go! Take care of your visa packet cause as what the immigration officer during my POE said to me "it's your life in that packet" :bonk:

  11. I open all the plastic except the yellow envelope. Okay lang po ba na nabuksan yung plastic. No damage on the visa yellow envelope.

I'm hoping for your reply. Thanks.

Take note that you SHOULD ONLY OPEN the outside plastic to get the passport.Do not open anything other than that or else you will have a problem during the checking of papers in POE.

  12. Hi! You can call them for follow-up or track your package.Sometimes it will take them awhile.Btw,it took us forever before we received the biometrics letter eventhough our NOA1 was dated 5 days later from the date we sent it.We called 30 days after since we didn't receive anything.May 22 we received our biometrics appointment dated June 8.And yes it took long for us too. :bonk:

  13. Been there and done that.Back then it was a 30 days wait for us prior to calling again. When the 30 days came and nothing still, my fiance stopped sitting and waiting around for nothing and went to his congressman's office and asked for help.2 days later we got our NOA2! Take note that it took 197 days before we had our NOA2 with the help of their congressman even WITHOUT RFE. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Hope all goes well for you guys.

  14. I'm just curious. You don't have biometrics appointment yet?It took awhile for my biometrics appointment too. It's suppose to come within 30 days from your NOA 1.If nothing happens, you have to call and ask for a service request for you to be able to have your biometrics taken..We did this after my 30 days from NOA1 and got the biometrics appointment a week after we called.

Go get your biometrics girl, you are lucky to have a schedule, i filed to AOS last MArch and no biometrics appointment until now.... try walking in.

  15. You should have tried the walk in biometrics. Some people here in vj received their biometrics appointment letter but due to inconvenient schedules they tried to go for an early walk-in biometrics. Some succeeded and some failed. But it's worth a try though. They were thinking that if they reschedule they might not be able to get the rescheduled biometrics sooner and will make this whole process even longer than it is.

  16. Thanks :).Unfortunately,no biometrics appointment letter came so I called USCIS for follow-up.They made a service request about it and told me that if I don't receive the letter within 15 days, then I should call them back. Hoping for the biometrics appointment letter to arrive this time. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

I hope you get the letter either today or tomorrow so that you won't have to call them on Friday. If no such luck ... Let me know how the phone call went and what they said :) I wish you the very best. Good luck!
