PC isn't the problem. Why? Because as I said before, you can address any issue without resorting to attacking the things I've mentioned. Not to mention, being of a different religion or anything of that nature isn't the problem. The minority isn't trying to change how you think. How I know? Because I spent 4 years here as a Muslim. And I never used my religion to change any rules. In fact, when Ramadan was happening, every year folks would come into my office and eat/drink in front of me. I didn't say anything because it's their right to do so, but I didn't make a deal out of it. But when Thanksgiving came around, a few sailors made a potluck and invited me to it. I declined due to the port issue, but they were like, we made things without it just for you, which was really a heartfelt gesture. But that's just my experience.

I see your buddy made a direct quote about 99% of African-Brits, and you're in this thread as well, but I don't see you condemning that either.

But, here's the problem, it's happened. The bridge incident. The incident where they shot that kid 16 times while he was walking away from the cops. Where the guy was killed in front of his girl and child. Or the dude who was shot in Walmart. Or the emails that show a cop going into detail about how to frame black men. Or the reports that show PD's are rife with police bias towards black people.
So my question is, how do you make the case? Because when I got a PD that's got officers high fiving after they just shot and killed an unarmed black teen, what can we say to that?

As far as I can recall I didn't +1 that comment. This was STILL not the same as saying 99% of Muslims are terrorists, no matter how you try to spin it. And, it looks more like a joke than anything else to me. Whether it is tasteful or not is debatable, but what you guys say isn't even intended as a joke, like, you actually believe what you say about 99% of supporters so umm yeah quite a bit of hypocrisy there. On top of that you tell me that I want to hear the exact words when it's not the words that count it's substance, and generalizing about some while wrong is not the same as generalizing about 99%, yet not that long ago I gave you plenty of examples of anti semitism but you wanted me to give you an exact example that you were giving about black people. So, it works both ways buddy, stop trying to change the rules.

Infact, it is true that Muslims as a whole hold far dimmer views of jews than non muslims. See, this is actually backed by facts, polls, hardcore data, stats...unlike the examples you give where you pick a few rotten apples and claim they represent 99% of the people. I can show you stats all day long so it's not generalizations, simply numbers, based on their own answers and actions.

Once in 2008 and once in 2012. In prior elections, I didn’t stay home, I voted for the white man. In 2016, I may be voting for a white woman. In local elections, too, I have mostly voted for white people and have often voted for them over black people.

Second, black Republicans – at least the vocal ones, the public ones, the kind that you see on Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly, the ones trying to be spokesmen for the Republican party are, for the most part, terrible people. They have to be, or else, they wouldn’t be black republicans.
Allen West and Larry Elders are repeat offenders. And even though I didn't like Bush, I don't hate him. And I think the racist language Biden used wasn't right, since he played off the racial fears. But I know hating on Carson and the rest of them comes from it feeling like a sign of betrayal when they are spouting the same ####### white people who burn crosses in their yards do. As for the Alt Right, I can't agree with you on that. I've gone toe to toe with about 8 of them at once, and it's straight about white pride. Matter of fact, the conversation was going good until I mentioned I was black and that Muslims are not an issue here. F******* chimp was my name from then on, then his boys jumped in. Told me black people and Muslims are what's wrong with this country. How anyone who isn't white needs to get out of their country. Janelle came in and she was drug as well. So this Alt right nonsense about them having love for country is half right, it's good if you're white. And if it's wrong, they have an image problem. If you're calling me an animal that's long been associated with racism, or telling me to get out of a country I was born in, at what point does it become racist?

My TF is full of left leaning folks, and all of them are pretty much for equal rights and level headed. I got some folks that use a potty mouth, but only because I see what gets thrown at them. But those cats on the right? I got some questions for you.
What is it with the Alt Right, and just right leaning in general obsession with the GOP of old? It's getting irritating that every single one of them want to bring up that the GOP freed the slaves and fought for civil rights. Like it was yesterday. We can't blame 400 plus years of slavery, 60 years of segregation, and a system built to assist in suppression of rights that's still functioning to this day, but they want to claim this.
And we all know the Democrats started with the KKK, seriously. That doesn't seem to be as important as where the KKK currently resides right now.

Jay: the topic of this thread was regarding confusion over why there is no outcry on gender segregated mosques? Well, how do you feel about gender segregation in religion in general? Because it's not just in some of the Muslim faith... but you can find it all over Judaism and Christianity too. If there is freedom of religion in this country, and in Canada too - then this practice is not something we can complain about under the domain of the law. I could certainly explain to you why this practice and others are towards women, and they come from the same shared root in all three religions. It's not some unique thing. Are these 'medieval' instead of modern in nature? Sure, you could make that argument. But so are many aspects we have in all religions, things many simply take for granted and accepted practices even.

Why can't the WOC be promoted because she's the best one for the job? Outside of Teddy bringing up an instance which I agree isn't right, this doesn't happen so much that it actually puts a dent in what white men own.
I posted it here a while ago, but it's like this. If you replaced every single white person with a POC, it's like 2% of the population is affected. I don't think anyone should be hired based on skin color but merit. But once again, this is what happens when your entire society's foundation is built on racism.
And MLK fought for equal rights for everyone. I think we should all be judged as an individual, but when things like what was posted right below you are allowed, and the same folks who say they're against racism but stay silent, are part of the problem.

There was just another one recently, which puts him in the mid 20's. Which once again, no one is talking about. If he wanted to commit suicide by cop, why didn't he just go shoot up a police station? Or resist arrest? Or better yet, go kill white people? Nope, he went for elderly black people, and even with that being his target, the judge asked for sympathy for HIS family. I mean, you have a guy who murdered 10 people in cold blood, that's going against the rules to the highest power and he STILL gets to draw breath. White people here should be furious he's still alive, since I've seen the comments towards black people who were killed for selling loose cigs and owning back child support. Simply put, white mass murderers don't draw the same kind of outrage that black folks who might/might not be criminal do.
Here's what you don't get. It's not that we sit back and compare racism all day. We have other things to do that are way more important. It's when white people scream at the top of your lungs about how WE are supposed to live our lives. When we see us being shot and killed by the police for almost nothing(or nothing at all, just ask those cats on the bridge) and you tell me it's nothing to be worried about but then white folks go shoot up a theater, kill about 18 people, and the cops are like, watch his head putting him in the car, how am I supposed to feel about it? When black folks tear up a city because of racial injustice, it's looting and rioting. When white folks tear a city up for a game, it's kids letting off steam. football player takes a knee at a game during the anthem, it's disrespectful, even though the anthem was written by a well know racist. When white folks go in on the president and make racial comments, it's free speech. Just like my membership in BLM has people upset, because protesting about black lives matter and the police issue has people more upset than a VP candidate who refuses to denounce a full fledge member of the KKK. BLM is more deplorable than the KKK, and we've never killed a single soul.
You should ask yourself why BLM upsets you so much. Because if there was a breast cancer event, would you go and say All Cancers Matter?
