oh 1 more thing.. whatever you decide to do WAIT UNTIL YOU FIND OUT EXACTLY WHAT YOUR DENIAL IS FOR. You will have to resolve that issue before moving forward. With all that said I am reaaaaaaally hoping your AP is not that long and you get the answer you are looking for!!
-
IF you can go, meaning if the embassy will allow you.. GO!!!!! it can only work for your case .... think about it..
-
I can totally understand your stressing abt this.. its not easy but yeah the petition with the k-1 visa can expire but fortunately if u do decide to marry and refile (worst case scenario of course) the I-130 for CR-1 doesnt. Unfortunately with all the fraud the Delhi embassy gets they question anything that doesnt follow a certain pattern ( not sure the best way to put that. ) I am older than my husband and regardless of the proof we had they put it in AP and then allowed the petition to expire and that was why it was denied. We went through so much.. and had I know then what I knew now.. I TOTALLY would have just married him there and filed... I mean seriously you can always have another wedding in the US but at least you will have made the commitment we all are looking for and that is a great peace of mind... at least it is for us now as we go for it once again.. oh and BTW we had a lawyer the first time (waste of money) I ended up doing a better fight then my lawyer Deborah Weber( FYI to anyone reading never use this lady!!! she is in minnesota) anyhow I never tried for an extension because it seemed pointless to us .. however if u like go for it.. but to us we wanted to be together permanently and so we got married and now we are doing the best we can going on with life and are ready for whatever the process throws at us ( sorry if that sounds like some lame fairytale) If you have any questions feel free to message me or ask here..

we were in AP for 2 months during which they kept his visa ( when we did k-1) they came back with our petition is expired, our final denial was for expiration of petition, so we got married and are even more prepared now. After intial interview which lasted like a minute(long story but I wish I had went with him) I wrote to EVERYONE.. I even wrote the president lol ( Actually got a reply too ) anyhow I have a few friends that have been on VJ who have been on AP for k-1 delhi embassy and things went fine with them after abt 2 months or even a few weeks and some were denied.. there is no way to know .. it depends on what they discover during there investigation and if that convinces them they could very well contact your fiance and ask him to resubmit his passport, I'm sorry if this doesnt help much, but no one can really tell you what is going to happen since every case and situation is different. I still wish you two the best.. catknit on VJ was very helpful as well as a few other people with advice!

Very sorry to hear about your situation, I can relate to your situation pretty well.. I hope the best for you guys.

My husband and i had the same sort of correspondence in 2011 when we tried the k-1, we also went through delhi... for us it meant nothing and in 6 months they sent another letter saying we were welcome to reapply or to get married and go for CR-1... hopefully your means something more positive.. wish you the best

hiya...
i am also in chicago and my case was transferred on 1/30/2013 (noa1 12/6/2012) and we just had a senator inquiry done and supposedly our case as of 5/1/2013 was on its way to be processed by an officer. Its the 14th and we have had no word. I have heard that chicago is at 5 months but that was as of last month so thats all I can say. Hope this helps!!

Finally my hubby is approved and will have his visa in hand in 3 hours! It's now almost 1 pm in Macedonia. They have his passport and because he needs it to go back to Kosovo they will complete the process while he waits outside the embassy, drinking coffee with his brother

sherry - keep at it ! You'll get a Tier 2 Human, eventually.
I surely will... in the meantime, I now have an appointment with infopass in 2 weeks and we shall see..
-
You can surely visit your Local office and try to find out whats going on with your case. You should also make sure that they have your case. By going there you will make them look at your case.
I am not sure if they will return your call or not.
You know I am going to make an appointment for it ... somehow I didnt think I would be able to do a INFO PASS unless I had something specifically wrong, but no harm in trying this.. thanks!
There is no holiday that lets supervisors not go to work and everyone else has to. The person lied to you.
wow.. seriously? thats some B S right there.. thank you ..I guess i kinda thought so but now I guess i will try plan B

Hi all
called USC asked for 2nd tier supervisor and what do you know today there is no one on staff at that level today ( I guess its some holiday i didnt know abt) so she gave me voicemail and I wonder if I will actually get a call back? It's been 4 months and few days( 12/6/2013 is my NOA1) and my case was transferred from NBC to chicago office 1/30/2013 and I havent heard anything since.. not an excessive amount of time yet, but I dont want to get lost in the shuffle and seeing that more people seem to be getting NOA2 that have filed after me, I'm getting annoyed. Oh well here's hoping they will call me back and actually have something useful and accurate to tell me. Anyone else ever leave a voicemail? or is it a conspiracy LOL!!!

Hi everyone. We finally got our NOA2. I am signed up for the email and text messages but didn't receive either. I just decided to log into the USCIS website and there it was! The website stated it was mailed today, March 7th. I checked 6 times, my hands shaking more and more as I realized that I was entering the number correctly. Thank you VJ and VJ Family! On to the 2nd step! Needless to say, I am so happy! Good luck to everyone still waiting, I hope your approvals come soon!
WOW.. congrats!!! I'm very happy for u guys!!

Sure... no problem.. lets hope for the best!! We did a hindu marriage, you will need to go to the embassy and get a permission to marry affidavit, but its definitely possible.
