So I'm going to be doing Electronic processing because It's required by Mexico right? Now do I still have to do that OPT IN process or its already assumed, I gave the operator my husband's and my email address. Can he email the email template in choosing the choice of agent instead of waiting to receive the DS 3032 form? I'm sooooo excited!!! I know we still have a way to go but every day brings us closer to being together again!!

Previous poster is right, but you should be on you guard in Juarez. Just as you would be in any strange, large city. Don't overworry yourself about it, but do be careful, avoid strangers and offers of 'help' from anyone you don't know and don't take any unnecesary risks like going out at night and you'll be just fine.
As far as the taxis, if it works anything like the airports in Mexico then they may just have assigned taxis that are specific to the central bus station. I haven't taken a bus in Mexico in years, but I do remember that when I took one from Guadalajara to Mazatlan, there were taxis that worked out of the bus station and it's unlikely you'd have problems with a cab driver who worked out of the bus station. If you really want to be sure, you could also try to google 'Sitios de Taxi Cd Juarez' and call some of results to find out what the deal is at the bus station, but that is overkill IMO and if you don't speak Spanish you really won't get anywhere doing that. To be on the extra safe side, avoid hailing a random cab and just arrange or have someone else arrange a cab for you from one of the nearby 'Sitios' (or from right there in the bus station like I said). I doubt you will have any issues with this.

every time some one post something about ciudad juarez BOING! has to say something negative and scare people!!!! its pretty safe around the consulate area as long as you dont go out at night and stay in your hotel room everything its good. Also ignore the the coyotes only talk to people inside the buildings.

Welcome to VJ and good luck to you Good for you for filing and getting the process started.
Honestly I don't know for sure what the results will be, but I believe that usually what happens in these cases is that the beneficiary (your mom in this case) will be denied and then you, the petitioner, will file a waiver for her, which I'm pretty sure is form I-601. It's actually very common that they get these kinds of cases in Juarez all the time, so don't think you're alone Anyway, once she is denied the visa in Juarez she'll need to stay in Mexico for awhile (which I understand is from 6-12 months or so) and then she'll have a waiver appointement in Juarez eventually and then that's the moment of truth. That's my very general and loose understanding of what you can expect anyway.
While you will find a lot of helpful information here on VJ, I would recommend you check out this website: http://www.smf.juarez-mexico.com/
There you can find forums with people discussing almost exactly what you are going through and you will find information specific to Juarez and the I-601 waiver, etc... Another good site to check out where the waiver petition is frequently discussed is: http://immigrate2us.net/forum/content.php
But that first one I gave you will probably be more helpful to you. So I would try those sites and reach out to someone there for help and advice and I'm sure someone will be able to explain it better to you than I can. You may want to consider talking to a Lawyer if you haven't already... But I know I wouldn't do that unless I had no other choice and if you spend a lot of time on the forums at those two sites I mentioned to you, as well as here on VJ, you can probably get away with doing it yourself. Best of luck to you.

My wife's name is Emma Rosa (that is her first name), no middle name, and then Sanchez Flores.
We put Emma Rosa as first name, nothing for middle name, and Sanchez Flores for last name and had no problems any place in the process.

    1) Take the word touched out of your vocabulary
    2) Have him move as soon as he can
    3) It won't matter even a tiny little bit in the process
    4) Zip down to see him as often as possible
    5) Be happy
    6) This is a new beginning--it will be great

Some of you know the struggled we have faced over the last year - waiting almost 10 months for NOA2, then not being told a decision at our interview and waiting in agony again...well, today my fiancé received his K1 visa by mail and we are both so happy that this part of our journey is finally over. Thanks to everyone here for their support and advice...don't know how we would have survived or gotten this far without it!
Best wishes to you all for a much quicker and smoother process!

Love Mexico City...my wife has a house there, but it has been empty for almost ten years since her mother died, and needs a lot of attention...we hope to rejuvenate it over the next few years as we have a few extra $$, and maybe that is where we end up eventually.

This is what happens when selfish men go shopping abroad for women like they're a pair of shoes you can take back.
Divorce your wife, and try acting with some dignity and respect not only for yourself and for her, but for the law.

; Don't continue this ridiculous plan as it sounds like a very stupid and immature plan.
File for divorce if you are SURE you don't want to spend your life time together with this woman. Do everything in legal way and don't play mean games since there are kids involved.
These kids can't help their parents are irresponsible and don't take responsibilities for their actions.
    One last tip:
Next time, don't think with your wurm, think with your brains

Well, it is almost over !!
We had our interview today at the San Jose Costa Rica embassy, and other than taking quite a bit longer than we thought, it went without a hitch and Emma Rosa can pick up her passport with her visa Monday afternoon. We'll post all the details at the Costa Rica embassy portal.
She won't be coming to the US until late October or November since she has some business to wrap up here in CR first, and I'm headed back to NJ Sunday--9/11--and I expect lots of extra scrutiny at the airports since it is the tenth anniversary. I don't know about you, but I will certainly pause a bit in my travels and be thankful that we live in the US and that we are all trying to bring our loved ones home to build a good life. Immigrants are the backbone of our country--documented or undocumented--so let's all do our part to make it a better place each and every day.
I want to wish everyone here the very best wishes, and no, you can't get rid of me that easy just because we are done for awhile. This is like a huge extended family to me and I will stick around until I don't feel helpful--I hope that means forever.

Hi. Yeah, I said, oops, the I-130. My children are not illegally here or in school illegally. There is no statute of limitations when we file for AOS. Our youngest crossed the border with his own Visa. This is another story. We are at worst, out of status. We are following the law. Forgive me, but I feel that you are jumping to conclusions. As with every case, there are variables, and I assure you that we have broken no laws.

Yes and yes--the bar codes keep everything in order at the NVC end, and to not include them at a minimum will slow you down, and possibly result in an RFE...why is this difficult to understand...bar codes are for your benefit.

Absolutely. if the interview letter says bring it you better bring it. If the interview letter doesn't say bring it, you still better bring it. Why in the world anyone would not include a document just because they heard it wasn't needed is beyond me. this is way too important (or should be) to leave stuff like this to chance. I would take copies of every document ever submitted and if a copy was submitted then I would take the originals.
So your relationship is built on a 10 year record of falsehood. That isn't a good sign. 10 years and he still needs to get a co-sponsor, and you have two kids now Something is a little crazy with this whole situation. Hate to say it, but I think you may be in for a rocky road after your arrival here. I hope I'm wrong for your and the kids sake. good luck
