You will be more than fine. Don't worry.
-
You can however they will test you in English. My husband requested Turkish but the lady insisted on speaking in English.
-
Only issue would be if the coworker used the business to commit the crime or was guilty of an act of treason or terrorism. That would only cause more research. But this would not deny your case.
-
I completely understand. It's a difficult process. Just give the CO everything you can and you'll do fine. Don't be nervous. Be calm and repeat repeat repeat you're marrying the man of your dreams because you are in love.
Wow hun this message was great! It's great to know that... Thank you so very much. I was thinking of bringing his purchased flight ticket (that shows he arrives 2 days after the interview) as part of my evidence... and some more like photos and logs like you suggested. Okay, I'll do my best to calm down now! I feel like a hysterical chicken that had an energy drink.

Sweetie don't worry. Everything will be just fine. Just talk a lot about your separate pasts together. Just in case they give a tough interview. Chances are they won't. Have original copies of everything at interview and extra evidence just in case. You can also bring his passport into the interview with you so they know he's outside. They really won't allow him in no matter what. It's incredibly rare they do since they changed their policies. Don't let the CO trip you up. Be sure of your answers and make it clear you are in love.
You''ll do great!! Good luck and I am fairly certain you're going home with your fiance for Christmas
Hello all! Merhaba!
I'm the beneficiary, Turkish citizen. Our K-1 interview in Ankara is coming up. My fiance is actually coming to Turkey in that time, so we wanted to find out if we can do the interview together. I e-mailed the consulate explaining the situation. I was told no, though.
Is this something to be worried about? We should have a strong file, yet I'm deeply scared of any AP. I read the embassy reviews and some of them are too good to be true, it's such a relief.
I guess I am just rambling with nervousness, please forgive me.

You can write the letter, as well as your fiance, I have limited evidence as we lived our day to day lives in love and in the moment. We did not consider evidence of relationship while living our lives. Affidavits from family in Turkey would really help also.
O and tolsab i was actually going to ask u, i think, what exactly should i write to the CO, when i say about why i dont have many things from beforr like reciepts?
-
you have to go to settings and edit profile.
-
I would each write a letter to the CO that you never believed you would need evidence of your relationship, so you did not save so many receipts. Maybe get the parents in Turkey to write statements about your relationship. Dated and signed. I've heard this can work too. My husbands English was not perfect at interview either. He asked for questions in Turkish and to answer in English. But he got a really tough chick and she grilled him hard. She asked many in English with no clarification. He just reiterated in Turkish her questions if he was unsure and she would then clarify. I think your fiance will be ok.

only an act of treason can cause revocation of citizenship. That and if they believe you lied on your applications and interview. A crazy and emotional spouse can't necessarily do this to you unless she had proof and you really did fraud the government.
Has she by chance threatened you in an email? I would try to get one. Protect yourself!
-
I can understand wanting to go with him. But I would make sure you just work on putting together a stronger file and talk a lot about your past and anything that might be an issue at interview. They rarely grant via email for the fiance to join. And even then it's a battle at the door. So keep trying...but get everything else together too.

How do you disagree? If the person married after applying for K1 they are no longer eligible. Not an opinion. A fact.
disagree.
-
If the I-129f was approved it's invalid anyway. You are not eligible for this visa now.
-
If they gave him the envelope and asked him to send his passport, then yes. And also yes, I have seen other folks from Turkey have similar requests and got the visa. Don't worry. It will be soon. sounds like it went reasonably well.
-
you will need the joint sponsor's passport copy and w-2 and the sponsorship form signed. All original signature. Did you submit your passport also?

I was a Canadian citizen until April of last year. I would advise you to never overstay, and never lie to the boarder reps. Always have a return ticket to Canada and proof of ties to Canada with you. Once denied entry this will cause a lot of trouble. Many years ago it happened to me and I was unable to enter for 6 months. I myself applied for my now husband immediately after getting my citizenship. They said at the oath ceremony you all have every legal right of every other citizen. You can apply for visas and petition family now.
As for your husband petitioning you, he can do so now and upgrade the petition when he is a citizen. It may take him 6 months to a year to finalize his citizenship. And permanent residents normally have a nearly 2-3 year wait for spouses. Its about the same wait either way. I would just strongly advise you against living here illegally. if caught, they could ban you for 5 years or longer. Keep ties in Canada and I might consider some contract work back home in Canada.
Feel free to hit me up if you have questions.

Have you tried going to a completely new bank and open a joint checking account? There is usually no issue at all, debt or no debt.

Ah this is the same email we received. They just ask IF you need a cosponsor. They wouldn't even know that until you reached your interview. Just take your support documents as you normally would. Originals of everything in hand. And you'll be fine. No worries
Greetings from US Embassy, Ankara
This is in regards to your immigrant visa application which is being processed at our office. We would like to inform you that your file has been prepared for your interview on:
28 NOV 2012 08:30
You may use this e-mail message in lieu of an appointment letter.
On the day of your interview, please bring the following documents to our office and hand them to the Consular Greeter in the following order:
- Passport
- Photos
- Medical report
- Original I-864 Affidavit of Support form from a co-sponsor
- 1040 Individual Income Tax returns and W2 forms for 2011 from the co-sponsor
- Proof of relationship between you and your fiancé / spouse.
- $240 TEB receipt
Please make sure to have all of the documents listed above in your possession on the day of your interview. Failure to submit all of the listed documents will cause delay in your interview process and in the issuance of your visa.

I would email the embassy and ask them for clarification. If for some reason you show a massive loss on your taxes, that might be one reason they would ask for cosponsor. But still, sounds incorrect. Can you paste the contents of the email and leave out name and case number?
-
Yes, my husband got his with his EAD. Also, you will need either a utility bill or medical bill with name. Maybe health insurance proof. They ask for everything but a urine sample these days.
-
My husband has umlats in his last name Guler. over the U. I wrote it in normal roman letters in the area asking for his name. Then there is a line that asks for their name in their traditional language or alphabet. That is where I wrote it in. I believe I typed it Roman and then hand wrote in the umlats.
Hope that helps.

We also filed in April and still waiting on the greencard. The frustrating part is they said they sent it to CSC for "faster processing". But faster is with interview. Patience, patience, patience.
-
The lawyer is not paranoid. I've known more than a few folks who've gone to interview with their Facebook pages pulled up on the screen. One was even asked to login at AOS interview in the same situation. Married while visiting. I might follow his advice if there is a question at all. Its not forever. And its only Facebook.
-
Just FYI, when I moved to the US and I got my US drivers license. They returned it to Canada for me, and Canada issued me a refund. I would check and see if they still do this.

I will have to take a look when I get home tonight to let you know what it's call officially. My husband got it in error when going to get the Nufus kayat. I know that this birth registration document is actually in english and Turkish. It's in 8 different languages from what I recall. I copied it twice and highlighted the english on every section to show the adjudicator.
Thanks tolsab!
I'll prefer any other document to this one. National Id only says Married, and I am married allright. However, the nufus doc gives dates, location, and bunch of other information, which looks really awkward. What about the other birth document? Consulate offered me to give an official translation of my National ID first, and I said no to that offer. Shall I go back and get the other birt doc, or an official translation of my National Id from the consulate (so far, on the nufus doc, nothing indicates that it is a birth cert.)
k-1 visa help
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
Perhaps her ties to Turkey had changed? Not sure. But single females from other countries traveling to the US alone are a red flag to them. They believe they will come here to stay without proper procedure. Frequent visits may have them believe there is a love interest here for her. Happened to me many years ago. But applying for a fiance visa should not cause issue. I was denied entry into the US long before I got my greencard and then citizenship. Everything after went smoothly as I followed procedure.
Good luck!
