  1. :help: Hello everyone,

    I am new to this site and had a question for all of you who have already gone through the k1 process. How much does it cost to process the k1 fiance visa from start to finish? I am a bit confused because I have looked up info. and they all say different things. For example, the form DS-156, is this paid for in fiance's country or while in the US?

    I just wanted to know if anyone could give an estimate of how much they spent to file all the paperwork.

    Thanks

    Endless, lol :luv::P

  2. For london, the visa is paid for over the phone.

    For the OP, you will need your benificiaries passport number when calling. The benificiary will also have to pay for the visa on interview day, and this can only be done by means of a credit or debit card now.

    Oh, I didnt realise i (beneficiary) could call up using his credit card :wacko:. And yes, the Visa Delivery payment is going to be another problem im facing as I dont own a debit or credit card....any suggestions on that front? :huh:

    Thank you so much :luv:

  3. Well...

    If you're willing to sign the statement

    I attest that I have all of the documents specified in the Instructions for Visa Applicants and other instructions,

    which are applicable in my case, and I am prepared for immigrant visa interview.

    on a Department of State form when you don't actually have all the documents, then sure you can send it.

    :thumbs: gotcha lol :whistle: getting ahead of myself again. Thanks

  4. Why do I feel everyone snickering?... :P (j/k)

    As far as the fees, etc... notsomuch...:no:

    (FWIW - the process itself may have costs not associated with the forms, medicals etc that might be tax deductible for certain individuals - things like business travel and the like - but for most of us, the answer is still 'no.' Even so - your fiance should check with his/her tax professional/accountant first.)

    :unsure::whistle: okay lol :P

  5. Hi, when i leave for the US I dont have alot of personal effects (namely clothes, paperwork and CD's), to ship so it would maybe make more sense to take them with my on my flight.

    So my question is, can i take my 1 suitcase (allowed luggage), aswell as a large holdall/2nd suitcase and if so, is there a certain weight it has to be under?

    :unsure:

    Any Advice?

    Thanks :luv:

  6. If he was doing the same work in the past, then tax returns will help show that it is a constant source of income. Letters from both employers, stating his pay and the frequency of his work. Pay stubs or other proof of income, ideally something that shows his year to date income.

    If he is going to provide:

    • Tax Transcripts
    • Pay Stubs
    • Bank Statements

    would employment letters still be required? :unsure:

  7. Hi, we're are unsure :unsure: Regarding proof of income (I-134) for K-1 interview in London.

    Here is our issue:

    The Petitioner is employed at 2 companies but works "freelance" with both, what would be the best things to provide as evidence/proof, specifically with regard to some sort of letter from either himself or the company?

    Sorry if this seems a silly question but it is all rather confusing.

    Thank you in advance :luv:
