Pictures are nice and they ARE helpful but only couples who spend significant time together as husband and wife will be able to accumulate this kind of evidence. First, spend the time together conducting a genuine marital relationship.
The OP joined the sight this Tuesday, AFTER the visa was denied. Clearly, lack of knowledge and preparation were major contributors to the result.

Best explanation I've seen in quite a while for a situation like this. Remember, the best evidence of a bona fide relationship is always going to be evidence of time spent together, in person. Often, this is difficult due to distance but can be overcome if the relationship is a high enough priority.
Consular Officers are expected to consider the totality of circumstances when making these decisions. Like it or not, local cultural norms are included in the circumstances considered as are the local common fraud scenarios. This case fits a fraud scenario and the couple did not present enough evidence (including the interview itself) to overcome the impression the relationship was for immigration purposes, at a Consulate in a fraud category all it's own.
Time spent reacting in anger will only be beneficial if channeled into productive action.

.. and yet other white females your age with younger men get approved every single day. Instead of complaining about race, age, and gender you should see why others like you have made it and you did not.
I don't disagree with everything you are saying but spewing out constant streams of sexist/racist remarks (ie: "Lilly white male American self righteous.. ") and wallowing in victim-hood is not going to get you what you want. Your spouse was not denied because you are an older woman though I would hazard to guess that if you shared your attitude towards all things white that have a ####### with the CO it could have had a possible prejudicial effect.

You can and did marry who you chose. But it is part of the duty of the government is to protect the population of the country. The wishes of one person do no outway the needs of all. You are free to travel to any place that will allow you entry , you can marry any single person you please for the most part. You can not order the governmnet to let this person follow you home. You must satisfy the government that your marriage is for real and that person must pass the government back ground checks. You were given a homework assignment to bring proof that they accept, the first test they gave you an F now is the time to put that energy into getting an A for the final grade.

I know you are upset and I am sorry things have not gone the way they probably should have in your case.. But remember that whenever a decision is made in these cases it always effects two people: a man and a woman. The discrimination you are talking about is aimed at the beneficiary. They are not worried or suspicious about an older (or younger) woman being let into the country. I imagine they are very suspicious of men's motives in general.. When you look at the percentages of the genders in prison and which gender is more likely to victimize another person it is hard to argue.
You are fighting the wrong battle. If you truly believe there is discrimination going on is based on gender then your complaint should be that they wrongfully discriminate against male beneficiaries... The fact that nearly half of all approved visas are men being petitioned by women might work against you.

Why would we do that when this is an English speaking country and not a Spanish speaking country? And yes the world uses English for a business language hence the reason most countries teach it.
    Now try again.

Another reason is that we coddle thewm with bi-ligual signs, forms, telephone answerinf systems etc. This is a racist ploy to keep them oppressed. The ONLY way they can succeed is to learn English. I am not usggesting anyone be forced to speak English or anything of the sort.
I find it difficult to believe that anyone here, that has gone through the immigration process would suggest that their families not learn to speak English. Why would you not want the same for Hispansics?
Funny how we do not read these articles about Asians or Bosnians or other large groups of immigrants.

Mexicans immigrants can't get ahead for the same reason that Ethiopian citizens can't get visitor visas to the US. Their fellow country(wo)men have fcuked that up for them.

There are PLENTY of double standards in life where WOMEN are the beneficiaries, and MEN get the shaft. FAMILY COURT is the most immediate example that comes to mind.
The OP has the unrealistic expectation that life is fair. Well, I got a news flash for ya: It isn't!
So forget fair. The fact is, a 70 year old geezer CAN impregnate a 22 year old sweet thing. Plus, Nigeria is the biggest fraud country around. Just Google it.
Remember, the USCIS is also trying to protect the American from fraud

Now, I might be wrong here, but Patriot missiles are a little more than "fireworks".
And for 69 of them to be loaded on a ship, bound for China, "by mistake" is stretching credibility, even at this time of the year. Something about this whole affair smells really off.

People are telling you to go to Canada because you are a Canadian citizen and you'd have better opportunities there, not because they are being rude.
I understand you want to stay here. If that is not possible, you need to figure out a new plan instead of clinging to the old one. There are good Universities in Canada.
Stop wallowing in what was supposed to have been...start planning for what will be! Your future is bright.

kytwell reacted to Obama 2012 in Grover Norquist Spreads Lies About Renewable Energy Standards
    The article is partially true.
You have to consider the reason that energy prices haven't been driven up is that Government hasn't mandated that other forms of energy stop being used.
As long as we can continue to use coal, nuclear, natural gas, etc... until "clean" energy can be full implemented, then prices shouldn't fluctuate too much.
Right now you actually have options... 100% renewable energy is a little bit more expensive per kwh obviously and the other forms are still about the same as they have been.
If government were to come in, demand renewable energy and that other forms stop being used however, prices would indeed skyrocket. Many people have pushed for this to happen and luckily it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully by the time it does now, other forms of energy will be in full force and there won't be a need to worry about a price spike.

    I can't read this drivel.
Why am I not surprised Steven is posting this either. All Mr. High and Mighty liberal working for the big banks, wall street, etc..
The article is flat out WRONG.
This isn't "Ayn Rand" economics at all. Ayn Rand would equal no government intervention in the marketplace. This is a TON of government intervention. We haven't had a "free market" in over a century. To even suggest such is ignorant and irresponsible.
You want to look at the real culprit, look towards inflation. Look at the Federal Reserve printing trillions of dollars that's completely worthless and continuing to drive the value of the dollar into the toilet.
Businesses, especially manufacturers cannot survive when inflation is so damn high and when there's an expectation for a job to pay more than it's worth. We've become a society so closed off from reality in the name of greed, that it's not even a bit funny. The wealthy are greedy and the poor are greedy. EVERYONE is guilty in this country because of the lifestyle we lead. It's a good life, to say it isn't is an outright lie. You want to see a "bad" life, go ahead and move into the Congo or some other poor African nation. How about you move to the country in an Asian country and see how well you adapt and like it. Most wouldn't survive a week.
This article is full of ####### and has no earthly idea what's going on with our "Walmartization."
The sad part is, if we didn't have someone like Wal-Mart because of what's been done to our country because of government interference and inflation, we'd be in a ####### ton of trouble worse than we are now, and that's the truth.

Did this study ask them if they deserved it? "Did you at any point just shut the f'k up? Especially after he told you to?"
Or how about this zinger, "When he raped you were you alone with him in a quiet place? Did you initiate contact?"
Complete BS. You can steer anyone toward the answers you want over the phone simply by asking them pointed questions.
And Rob, the reason we can't make the penalty for domestic violence more severe is because for every piece of sh!t that beats his wife there's a wife who keeps asking to get hit. Perhaps we shouldn't penalize people for having unhealthy relationships... we should give them the support they need to make better decisions about their lifestyle choices. "Oh honey, I know he hit you again. But, that's what happens when you go back to him over and over. Perhaps you should date that Johnny kid from down the street with the good job and parents who are still happily married."

Don't we already have a system in place?
Why not simply add "cell phone usage resulting in an accident" as one of the offenses that gives a driver six or eight points, similar to vehicular assault or OVI. It wouldn't outright ban cell phone usage, however, usage resulting in an accident would be an offense. That way, folks who are good drivers and capable of doing simple tasks without killing people can continue to do so. Those who can't will be stripped of the privilege of driving an automobile.
