Got my social security number in the mail last Friday, taken both my car and motorcycle driving theory tests today.
Filling out the AOS forms today - when it says Non-Immigrant Visa Number, is that the Control Number from my visa?

I think that each embassy has different rules - London requires the medical before stating that your ready for interview (form DS-2001), so can be done any time after the LND case number is allocated.

Approved too!! On the second day of our vacation together here in England, too!
