Russian to English Translator in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

My fiancee is Russian born and is currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Her birth certificate, vaccine record, and police certificate are all in Russian. We're searching for someone who can translate/notarize these documents from Russian to English in Ho Chi Minh City.

On that same note, once a document is translated, does it then need to be notarized or is it the other way around? Do some offices offer both processes at the same time?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Lastly, it appears I will need my (the petitioner) original birth certificate and copies there at the interview. Has this been the case for other petitioners who have applied at the US embassy in HCMC?

Detailed (Chronology) Timeline of Relationship for K-1 Fiancee Visa

Hi,

Does anyone have an example of a relationship timeline that the Consulate Officers in HCMC are expecting for the K-1 Visa interview? I don't want to bore them with a 5+ page essay but at the same time I would want to be as detailed and concise as possible as to not receive a denial slip. Also, does anyone know if they are accepting additional photos and evidence (receipts, gifts, rings) during pre-check-in on the day of the interview? I am hoping to make another trip before the interview and will like to submit engagement and post-engagement photos.

Thank you!

Does my wife's minor daugther need to attend N-400/I-751 interview?

We just received notice on the USICS site that my wife's N-400 interview has been scheduled. I assume this is a combo interview but there is nothing on the letter that states that it is. If it is a combo interview does the letter state that both she and I attend? Also, my wife's 17 year old daughter immigrated with her. Does she need to attend for eith the I-751 interview or the N-400 interview? We did file I-751 for each.

K-1 Fiancee Evidence for Consulate Interview

Hi,

I am currently in the midst of compiling evidence to bring to the future consulate interview and was wondering what the top pieces of evidence are for the Ho Chi Minh City Consulate/Embassy. I know the Consulate Officer usually only has about ~5 minutes to review everything prior to interviewing, and I only included photographs (non-dated) and proof of meeting (scanned passport pages), flight itineraries (2 trips made so far), scanned copies of boarding passes in my I-129F packet, and plan to bring more evidence to the future interview. I also plan to make one more trip sometime by the end of this year/Tet next year before the interview.

We had a Dinh Hon (engagement party) so I think I will bring loose photos of that, we traveled to Thailand after our Dinh Hon/Engagement (tour package itinerary), and we have a TON of chat messages and call logs with one another on Facebook Messenger and on Zalo (Vietnamese messaging app). I'm Vietnamese-American and my Fiancee doesn't speak a lick of English, so will she have a hard time with the CO? If our messages to one another are primary in Vietnamese, should I also provide English Translations as well (not sure if they would need to be certified translations). I am not entirely sure what other proofs of relationship will be good to bring along to the future interview.

Thank you so much!

- Tony

How to Get Court Certified Copies of Arrest Record/Disposition?

Hi All -

For I-129F Item 4B (Criminal History Documents) - When I go to the Clerk at the California courthouse that tried my case, do I simply ask them for a court certified copy of my arrest record and disposition? Whatever stamped document they provide is all I need to fulfill the documentation?

Then the police report that is not certified is OK too, right?

This is for a 15 year ago expunged DUI case. I have searched throughout VJ and am clarifying the documents that are needed to avoid the RFE.

Thank you!
