US Immigration from United Kingdom

Hey everyone.

I totally screwed up my I-751 application and sent in an old copy of the form. I was trying to get ahead of the game by filling the thing out months in advance but ultimately played myself!

USCIS kindly sent back my entire package and (I think!) rejected my payment, for which I am very grateful.

My question is about the evidence I submitted. It looks like all of the sheets have been scanned into their system (there's a code at the bottom of every sheet). Do I need to re-print everything to resubmit? Or will they just look at the code and realise they've already scanned it and move on with the application? The scanning code on the I-751 and G-1145 both have a scribble through them with a signature, which I'm assuming means that they have rejected those. I'll obviously be re-submitting a full (updated!) version of the I-751 and a new G-1145, but I'm getting a little miffed at the thought of having to re-print all of the evidence.

Has anyone else ever had their full package sent back? Did y'all simply send the thing off again with the new things they requested?

Forgive me if this is in the wrong place...

Are there sample letters around in the dark corners of VJ, for Expedite requests due to Medical emergency? I've searched and cannot find anything. But some of you pros may know where to look.

Hi everyone. My husband received his adjustment of status and is now a permanent resident as of November 2019. We want to get him a credit card so he can begin building credit here in the States. We applied for a joint credit card through my credit union, but they denied our application only on the grounds that his permanent residence technically "expires" in November 2021. That is the period where we have to apply for the government to life the "conditional" portion of his 2-year green card, so he doesn't have any limitations. Even after explaining this, they said they cannot make any exceptions. We met the income threshold, etc. so there were no issues there.

With that said, has anyone else run into the same issue? Are there good credit card providers that do not see this is a problem?

just curious does anyone know if filing a petition online is any quicker than submitting a petition via mail? thx.

So my fiance and I have just about had it with US immigration and waiting for an interview and pulled the trigger yesterday on applying for a UK fiancee visa for me to move here. We are basically thinking we will just go with whichever country comes through with the visa first. My question is, will have both applications open at the same time hurt our chances in either direction? I am thinking no since one visa would be for me and one visa would be for him, it is not like we are each seeking two visas.

If we had to make the choice, we would be okay with cancelling the US visa at this point, but also don't really want to lose all the progress and want to go with our original plan. What do you guys think? Will we run into trouble with two open applications or will we be okay with out original plan?
