US Immigration from United Kingdom

hello all , due to the pandemic we had to postpone our wedding which would of been this month. We continued onward with our legal registered marriage so we can continue filing for the spouse visa. For the evidence of bonafide marriage, should we include contracts for the vendors of our wedding day such as photography/videography, wedding invitations, venue contract etc.? We cant show joint bank accounts etc. as she isn't able to come to US yet. Curious as to what other ppl think on here. We decided to postpone our celebration (religious blessing) to next year June.

Sorry to keep asking questions, i keep getting confused with validities and expirations.

1. My UK police certificate expires in December 2020. Does it have to be valid on the day of the interview or does it need to be valid further than that?
2. My passport expires next year. Does it need to have 6 months validity on the day of the interview or on the day I travel to the USA? I ask because I want to wait to enter few months so I get IR instead of CR ( plus I dont feel confortable fliying to the US in current circumstances).

I was thinking of rescheduling my interview in London so I can get a new passport but im concerned that I will be put at the back of the queue with all the backlog and have to wait another year.

Does anyone know how to postpone an interview at Embassy stage?

ive registered my appt,

booked a medical (which I can cancel for now)

and I ve paid for courier

except things are not good between my husband and I

im not willing to pay out more good money on a whim.

if I cancel the Embassy interview, how long do I have to take it ?

Hey VJ friends! I've searched the board and have found a couple of threads from a year or two back but would like some more recent examples if possible.

I am filing my N-400 online based on the three year rule and when asked about residency and job employment it asks for last 5 years despite filing on the 3 year rule. Anyone who has filed and/or been approved recently, did you just add the last three years and ignore the warning that dates are missing, or did you fill out all 5 years?

We are currently getting all our ducks in a row prior to booking my Medical appointment and IR1 Embassy interview and I just wanted to double check that I have understood correctly the list of documents that I need to bring to my interview. Let me preface this by saying that I am the beneficiary and my wife is the petitioner, and we are using a joint sponsor.

• Print out of courier confirmation page
• Print out of DS-260 confirmation page
• My original passport
• Our original marriage certificate (+1 photocopy)
• Two passport photographs of myself
• My UK police certificate (+1 photocopy)
• My original UK birth certificate (+1 photocopy)
• My wife s I-864, including supporting documents:
  • Wife's IRS tax transcripts for the past 3 years
  • Copy of my wife's US passport photo page
• Joint sponsor's I-864, including supporting documents:
  • Joint sponsor's IRS tax transcripts for past 3 years
  • Copy of joint sponsor's US passport photo page
  • Joint sponsor's pay stubs for the past 6 months
  • Letter from joint sponsor's employer on company letter-head confirming nature of employment, salary etc.

Am I missing anything from the list above?

I question I had was: do I need to bring my wife's original birth certificate as well? This page (https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/required-documents/) states that "you must obtain the original, or certified copy (provided by the issuing authority), of the birth record of each family member (yourself, your spouse, and all unmarried children under the age of 21, even if they are not immigrating with you" however, I was under the impression that this only applies if your spouse is also applying for an immigrant visa.

Another question I had was: I have read that London is pretty relaxed about proving intent to re-establish domicile. At the start of this process, we were under the impression that I would have to provide evidence such as my wife's US voting record, bank statements etc. but it sounds like this evidence is rarely asked for at the London embassy?
