US Immigration from United Kingdom

Hey there.

I am writing as I had nearly completed my AOS from a K1 Visa in late november, but had to return to UK becuase my father has cancer and my mother had a double hip replacement and they needed me for care/recovery. (All this can be proved asnd I have letters in hand).

However, I had to return before the AOS and Permit to travel coomewted and becuase of COVID I got no replies or help when contacitng UCIS. I even asked the Embassy in London, but got the run around.

It broke my heart as the last 6 moths were just amazing.

I'm not here to moan about any of that, but I just want to find out, if my K-1 process is totally dead now and I have to start again?

I am assuming so, and the CR-1 is now my only option, but I am sure I have grounds for expedition. (I conformed to all packets et al for the K-1 and the processes after the wedding).

I have applied for the CR-1 (my wife has) and I have addded a letter abvout the K-1 and why I left the USA.

My wife obviously wants me back for personal reasons, but I also need to get back to financially support her too.

Other than in my CR-1 application, what is the best way to request or infiorm the authorites to consider expedition?

We're a couple (F-US citizen, M-UK citizen) currently living in the UK and looking to start the visa process to move to the US and have a few questions we hope some on here can help us with. At this early point, our main dilemma is whether to pursue a fianc visa, or to get married and begin the spousal visa process.

Some details about our current situation:

• M is a UK citizen
• F is a US citizen
• F has dual EU citizenship and has pre-settled status to remain in the UK. Her family all live in the US.
• We have been together over 3 years, living together in the UK for the past 2 years
• No kids together and not currently married
• We both work remotely for UK organisations
• Both late 20s/early 30s.

Some of our concerns and preferences that might affect our decision:

• We are ready to get married but would prefer not to do this immediately as we would want our families there
• We have sufficient savings for M to be unemployed for part of the process, but would prefer to minimise that
• We are happy to go long distance and but would prefer to minimise that. We wouldn't want to enter a situation where we're long-distance for an indeterminate period
• We would like to move within the next 12 months (though realise this is highly unlikely!)

We've looked through lots of posts on this forum and others, however much of the guidance precedes Covid. Our current thoughts are that the K1 visa is preferable as we could start the process today, however based on what we've read on this website we're concerned it is an administrative black hole during the pandemic. The spousal visa on the other hand is potentially a quicker start-to-end process, but we wouldn't be able to start that until we're married - which has it's own delays.

We'd be really grateful for guidance from those in similar positions, but with more expertise and experience, on next steps. In particular which of the processes is likely to be quicker and any roadblocks we may have overlooked on either path.

Ive been reading online websites about how to write a US CV/Resume but its all from companies that want to sell me something so not sure about any of the veracity of it.

Do you have any tips about what american recruiters look for?

Do CVs have to be one page?

Are photographs expected or not allowed?

Do I have to talk about "achievements" more than experience?

Im used to the standard EU/british cvs, 2 pages listing relevant experience, so any tips would be super useful.

Hello!

My husband is home sick and wants to go back to England to visit his family. Is has the EAD and AP card, so he is allowed to travel right?

Also, we have been at the 'ready to schedule a interview' stage since Sept 4th, any info on when is it likely that we will get a scheduled interview?
