For the K1 interview

If I am using a co-sponsor (father of my fianc e), what needs to be included? Obviously the affidavit of support form (I-134), but I've heard also a W2 and an employment letter? What is meant by an 'employment letter' if this is what is needed.

If somebody knows, could you please clarify what is and is not needed?

My fianc e isn't acting as the financial sponsor since she is currently a full-time student.

Thanks!

Delay of Green Card Interview Results

My husband and I had our adjustment of status interview from a K-1 in Detroit on November 2nd and we still haven't received ANY notice in the mail or update online. It still says "Interview is Scheduled". Everything went smoothly during the interview, we were told by the officer that we would hear within 2-6 weeks. His first EAD card expires early January, and luckily we've had that approved to extend ability to work but it doesn't cover travel. We really want this green card and I don't understand what could cause this long of a delay? We've called and asked for a call back from Tier II, but it's been longer than 7 working days and no call back from them either. I've seen others receive cards during this time, so it doesn't seem to be a mass delay, just us.

Any advice? I was so happy after the interview, this wait is driving me crazy!

I-485 Interview cancelled and status changed to "Decision". What does that mean?

I got a case status update email today from USCIS that our I485 interview has been cancelled. I had applied for Marriage based AoS from my H1B visa. My USC spouse and I have a pretty strong case and were looking forward to our interview later this month. The email from USCIS is below. Does it mean that they have taken a decision on our case without doing an interview?

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

If you do not receive your notice by February 4, 2021, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Hello,

I am currently at the NVC stage and am submitting all the necessary documents. On CEAC there is a message stating you must bring all original documents (not photocopy) to your interview. My mother will be co-sponsoring my husband and I am uploading copies of her birth certificate & drivers license as proof of US citizenship and proof of US domicile. Will I need to give my husband my mother s original birth certificate for his interview? Obviously he won t be able to take her drivers license with him to another country , so a photocopy of that will do?

AOS Sponsor issues from lockdown job losses

Has anyone else had troubles with their Adjustment of status process right now? In particular, I'm the sole sponsor on my husband's AOS, which was solid at the beginning of the year when we filed because I had two good jobs. However, in September I was officially laid off from both of my jobs, and just in November got an RFE to resubmit the I-864 with further income documentation. It's already been stressful trying to get through the year and find other jobs, and I've been manically trying to find information as to whether there's exemptions or extensions on submitting these forms that we can get due to government created lockdown hardships. Trying to contact USCIS has been impossible. I can't find what I'm looking for or get through to a real person. Is anyone else having difficulty with this right now? Is trying to get a joint sponsor the only option?
