US Immigration from United Kingdom

Just in the process of applying to remove my conditions for my Greencard (needs to be done by Apri) so am gathering all my items and filling out 1-751.

It says in the instructions that if you are a conditional resident you must include biometrics fee, if you are a lawful permeant resident of a spouse you don't need to. I am married to a US citizen and have had biometrics done when had my changes of status (came in on a K-1). Which applies to me as my green card does have conditions? I get so bogged down with wording.

Another question I have is regards to travel - I have had a death in the family and am hoping to head home for the funeral in the coming weeks (covid regulations dependent). From what I understand I can travel with the Greencard and a NOA that I receive? I know the card doesn't expire until April but I always like to be safe as I get nervous about not being allowed back in.

Question - My wife just asked me for my recent pay stubs as she would like to apply for housing assistance.

Would this go against me / be considered a public charge?

I wonder if anyone tried to get irish police clearance from overseas. I lived in Ireland 10 years ago just wondering how long the actual process take. I know you have to send a letter to a superintendant of the district you lived in. Any input would be much appreciated.

I finally had my biometrics appointment yesterday, it's a relief to finally see some movement after being unable to work for the past 5 months! Getting ready to submit an expedite request for my EAD so looking for some advise from anyone that has had success:

1) What did you submit as evidence? I have a job offer that's being finalized so will be able to provide that. Did you also need to provide evidence of financial loss? I haven't been able to work since July, so I can show evidence of having to take money out of my savings but was wondering if there was anything else people have provided? Did anyone estimate the income that they would have received had they been able to work over the past months?

2) What did you include in your cover letter? Just trying to work out how much detail needs to be included

Any help/advise would be very much appreciated!

Hi all,

I arrived in Chicago,USA in March 2020 on a K1 Visa. We married on March 6th. I have a social security card, albeit on that says on it "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION". I also have received my Work/Advanced Parole card. I'm still waiting to hear when my Green Card interview will be.

My question is: Am I entitled to a Economic Impact Payment? I have read in several places that I am, however I find the IRS website confusing. Is there anyone who has been in a similar situation & can offer advice? I would be very grateful if anyone could offer any advice. @Wuozopo you are a fountain of knowledge, do you know?
