K1 Visa Interview after having 2 denied F1 Student visas?

Hi everyone,

We have our K1 visa interview coming up soon and I am very stressed because 2 years ago I applied for a student visa and was denied for lack of home ties under 214b, I applied again a few weeks later and was denied again for the same reasons. My partner and I were so gutted. We continued long distance and then about a year later got engaged and applied for K1 and here we are.

Before my student visa application I had 4 approved J1 visas for camp counsellor (where I met my fiancee) and then au pair. After finishing being an au pair I did change of status to F1 student and started school and after one semester I returned home to visit and had to renew the student visa which is when I got denied. We have been together for nearly 5 years and have SO many trips and pictures, but we are worried that my F1 denials will affect the outcome of our K1 interview. Has anybody had any experience with this? Thank you!

Green card interview- evidence of relationship

Hey, so I'm super happy that we already have our green card interview, sooner than we expected. I am just slightly worried about what evidence to bring, specifically for the evidence of relationship, we currently live with my SO's mother so don't pay any bills, we also have no joint bills or insurance or anything. I was thinking of adding him as an authorized user to my bank, and me the same to his. I was also thinking of doing this with the credit card I recently got. We also were going to get a letter from my husband's mother, who we live with just stating we live there rent free etc. We were also thinking about getting me a driver's permit, so it would show the same address as on his permit, showing we reside together? Apart from that, other evidence we have are pictures of our wedding and pictures together since I have been here (I moved in March and we adjusted status in April), I have one hotel itinerary from the one trip we took this year. I also have a whole book of our whole relationship before we were married of pictures, receipts, cards etc. Is there anything else I would need, and do all these things provide good enough evidence?

Also I accidentally didn't change my name on the paperwork when filing because I didn't know it could be changed there, so my EAD is in my maiden name. People on here previously suggested I could request to change it at the green card interview, is this a good time and will they allow me to do this or is there anything I need to do before/ after? I will obviously be bringing our marriage license etc, I'm not sure if I will need anything else for the name change.

I hope this all makes sense. Thanks in advance for your help!

AOS for Out of Status Parents?

I have a former student who came to the US on the VWP from Argentina when she was seven years old. Now in her late 20s, she has married a US citizen and is an LTR, citizenship application pending.

Her little brother is about to turn 21 and is a natural-born US citizen. He wants to petition for both their parents. Supposedly, he went to see an attorney who told him that he could not petition for both parents at the same time-- this is incorrect, yes? Unless it's because he can't meet the I-864 minimum sponsorship requirements.

My concern is that while both her parents entered the US legally on the VWP, it was nearly 30 years ago and they have been out-of-status all this time. Will that time be forgiven as it is with spousal visas?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

Case with US Embassy London

I m hoping for some advise on my current K1 visa, I m anxious I might have messed up the the process.

I m a UK resident trying to get a fianc visa for my partner in the US. On 4th February 2020 I received confirmation NVC has the approved I-129F and on 10th Feb 2020 I received a letter from the US Embassy London to schedule an appointment.

I had a medical appointment booked then was going to schedule a visa appointment after attending. The March lockdown occurred and visa services stopped just before the medical and I cancelled the appointment.

I am unsure where my application might be up to as I ve not had any letters from the London embassy since this date. I ve looked through my records and documents I m now unsure if I have the completed DS-160 form back in February.

Any idea where to go from here?

What to do if your i-1551 stamp runs out while waiting?

My i-1551 stamp runs out in March 2021. I am currently at 72 days since fee paid and 70 since entry. It says on the USCIS website I can officially contact them about it at 90 days (is that when the fee paid or since entry?) but I see on here they won't humor it unless its 120 days and it takes a month to get back to you? By the time I get to 120 days I only have 13 days until I am officially out of status.

I'm just wondering in advance, of course I'm wondering if I can contact them at 90 days or if its a lost case and I should wait, I'm also wondering if I could just contact them right now? Slightly paranoid that the Dallas POE might have fluffed it up.
