US Immigration from United Kingdom

What's the current status of people coming from the UK on K-1 Visas?
My fianc (US) and I (UK) have previously sent an application but was rejected due to using an out of date form back in 2019 but was told that we were allowed to re-apply.

Due to Covid and my sisters passing late 2019 we decided to put our immigration process on pause.

What's the current status of US citizens being able to file for K-1 Visas for their UK Fianc es?

Hi everyone, I'm just wondering if there's anyone else out there who is in the same position as me.

I had to come back to England for the interview at the embassy on 24th Feb 2020.

My police check hadn't arrived on time so my visa was denied, also I had my medical examination booked for the day after the interview.

I was told that once the medical info was passed on and my police check was mailed to the embassy, it would be a matter of 24-48 hours for my visa to be granted.

I had some trouble mailing my police check as the COVID situation started getting bad, but I got it sent off eventually, within a month if i recall correctly.

I have heard absolutely nothing since, and I can't get hold of anyone at the embassy.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is in the same position as me, or if anyone had their interview/medical around the same time and has had a different experience to mine.

I've been searching all over the internet for people in my position, ie. at the post-interview stage, and I can't find anything/anyone which is making me worry that perhaps my case has been forgotten about or maybe they didn't actually recieve my police check that I mailed in, or something like that. I feel like everybody at the post-interview stage has been granted their visas and sent on their way because I have found nothing about others at the same stage as me.

Were about to send off my I-751 ROC packet in the next few weeks. I am concerned about our evidence because 1. I'm already a natural worrier as a person LOL 2. I know we are a genuine married couple but this stuff still makes me anxious as I don't want to have to return to the UK without my husband & newborn son! (again, overthinking worrier here).

Here is the evidence we have:

Me listed on my husband's health insurance & dental insurance (copies of health insurance cards also)

Me listed as a beneficiary on my husband's pension package & life insurance

Birth certificate of our newborn son with both our names listed

Apartment leases over the past 2 years with both our names & signatures

Copies of 2019 & 2020 joint tax return's

Cell phone bill with my cell number on the same plan (all utility bills are in my husband's name, we didn't think to change some to my name, so this is one of my worries)

Photo's of us together, with family & our baby

Bank statements - we have both our names on each other's bank accounts, will 4-6 bank statements for the past 2 years be acceptable? we use separate cards but transfer money to each other, is this acceptable?

Will this be enough?

I have a couple of questions.

I moved to the USA in July 2020 on my CR-1 visa and need to file taxes as a dual-status alien (we can't do married filing jointly, as it would affect other payments my husband has).

I have two questions:

1) Can I claim the $1800 rebate as I only became a resident in July?

2) Does anyone have tax preparer recommendations in Georgia or virtually that has done this?! I used a certified accountant who said he had experience in this and he messed it up twice before I had to tell him to stop.

I am also wondering if it's worth me using TurboTax to prepare the July-December portion and then just write out a form 1040nr on my own and write dual status alien across the top, because I'm so exhausted dealing with this already, but I know it can get a bit complex and is worth using a professional who actually knows what they're doing.

This might have been asked a couple of times buuuut, is there any system as to where applications go, or is random? I know that almost all K-1s go to California, is this the same for CR-1 applications? We are considering switching and I'm curious - I'm sure everyone hopes for the same but, hoping it's not somewhere like Vermont!
