Hello! Was just looking to see if anyone knew how to answer this question on form I-134 i attached a screenshot since it won t let me copy the text on my phone (?). I plan on financially providing for my fiance, giving him a place in the space I rent, and putting him on my insurance when I can. Is this what the question is asking for? Or is it asking about something else? I might be overthinking this lol thank you for the help!

My USC fianc e has taken a career break to travel with me while we have been submitting our visa application, and my interview is coming up. I've read a few topics that indicate a K1 beneficiary may pass the visa interview with assets as the only financial support, I understand that it is down to the consular officer's discretion and that neither the I-134 or I-864 are strict requirements but are good guidelines, and ultimately the test is to demonstrate that the foreign beneficiary/fianc will not become a public charge during the 90 day visa validity. My plan at the moment is to submit an I-134 from her showing no income but with cash assets that are approximately 7x the federal poverty guidelines for a household of 2 in the 48 contiguous states. We could also submit tax returns for 3 previous years (i.e. before her 1 year career break) showing income of at least 3x the federal poverty guidelines for each of those years. I may be able to show evidence of my own cash assets that are similar in size to hers. I think common sense says that the likelihood of becoming a public charge is low. Does anyone know if this will be sufficient for the interview, or have any recommendations? E.g. is it worth preparing a brief letter explaining the career break and intention for her to seek employment? Thanks!

I am the principal applicant for EB2 NIW and I recently submitted my DS-260 on the caec website after paying the Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fees for myself and accompanying family members. I am expected to send my civil documents to NVC by post since i cannot upload them on the website. Please , I need answers to the following questions: 1. Do i include our passport photographs as part of the documents? 2. If yes , how should the photographs be attached? 3. Do I staple my photocopied documents ( like the passport, birth certificate, etc) separately from my family members though they will be put in the same envelope? These are the issues troubling me and I will be grateful for your kind responses. thank you.

Any advice on sorting out US cellphone carrier for a UK phone? |

Hi all, I finally made the move over to the US last week and we're starting to look into how to get me up and running with a cellphone that isn't useless beyond extortionate international roaming fees or a wifi connection. My phone is from the UK and my UK sim card is contract-free, I simply pay X p/month and it gives me X GB of data and unlimited calls/texts. Really simple. However, it doesn't look like anything like this exists in the US (if it does, I'm yet to find it). Does anyone have any suggestions for the best route for this? Some providers let you "bring your own device" (BYOD) and switch to them, but it doesn't look like my phone is supported for the ones I've seen (a Samsung Galaxy A15). Hubbie-to-be just suggests a new phone to make it simple but I really don't want that when I haven't even had mine 12 months! Thank you

Hi marnold, I came across this topic as I'm in the same situation as having a UK limited company that I'd like to continue working on as an owner-operator between getting married on the K1 and receiving EAD. Once I have the EAD I want to start an LLC and mirror the UK company. While waiting for the EAD I'd like to focus on growth, brand building and targeting UK/EU clients, before shifting to US clients after EAD. Ideally will take money out of the company either as salary, dividends or director's loan - subject to US tax. Could I ask what you ended up doing? Any issues or recommendations? Thanks! Josh
