US Immigration from United Kingdom

Apologies if this is not in the right section.

I have booked my visa appointment for March today in London, and my appointment is in the morning so I am staying over night at a hotel. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of what they can bring to the appointment - am I allowed to bring a backpack with my clothes/makeup/toiletries in or is this forbidden?

The website states that i cannot bring anything over the size of cabin luggage but I just want to make sure as I don't want to be turned away.

My appointment is at 11am and usually check outs for hotels etc is at midday so I would be bringing my bag with me.

Looking for some advice for my mother's Green Card Application. She was DQ'd by the NVC on Dec 19th 2023 for the DS260 and supplementary documents. Trying to find when when to expect the IL and subsequent interview at the US Embassy in London . Trying to remain patient in this process! Thank you

My husband attended his CRI visa interview at the London embassy on November 16, 2023 and was placed on AP. He was asked to submit the original copy of my divorce certificate/decree. The embassy received it on November 24 and the case updated on November 30. It stayed like that until he sent an inquiry on Jan 8, 2024. This morning, I checked and the last update was January 16, 2024 with the case still showing refused. I m so frustrating and don t know what to do or who to contact. I don t know the London embassy to be having backlog so I m wondering why ours is taking this long. They still have his passport. Has anyone been in this situation before specifically with the London embassy? My entire Christmas break was a mess due to this situation.

I have been DQ'd for two weeks now and my case is still saying its at NVC.

Im going to assume that this updates once ILs are sent out. But has anyone seen their status change prior to receiving their IL?
