Has anyone ever attempted to secure Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) Auxiliary or Derivative Child Benefits for a family member abroad? Now, before some have the automatic "no one can receive SS benefits while overseas" response, there are official SSA rules (Policy Manual for Medicare and Social Security - POMS) and plenty of US law (20 CFR 404.460) addressing Nonpayment of Aliens exceptions and eligibility. Her country (Turkiye) is specifically listed under the "Social Security countries" i.e., treaty countries, and as such, not subject to the rules mandating that child and SSDI beneficiary live together in same household for five years before applying for benefits, or the requirement that both parents (step parent and biological parent) live together in same household in the USA for five years before applying. I provide half her support by sending money to her mother's bank in country which she has access to, so that's easy to prove.

Again, I only wanted to see if anyone has tried before going to over the local Social Security Administration office and deal with them.

Hey y'all has anyone had any luck contacting the Ankara embassy after being in administrative processing for 6 months?

My husband was refused a visa six months ago due to a previous deportation issue but we've been trying to contact the embassy for sometime with just radio silence... We contacted our congressman to ask for an update and even then they gave his office the wrong information and what not but not much noise otherwise.

Has anyone been able to actually get their IR1 visa after more than 6 months?

I'm really confused about when I'll be eligible for naturalization. I'm not sure if I need to wait for 5 years or if I'm good to go soon. Here is my timeline:

January 2019

• K1 application

September 2019

• K1 approved

November 2019

• US entry & marriage

January 2020

• AOS application

July 2021

• Conditional greencard

March 2023

• Divorce application

July 2023

• Permanent greencard application - applied with a waiver even though divorce was ongoing, shared divorce application documents

September 2023 -

• Divorce finalized, sent a copy of my divorce decree

In this case, will I be eligible in July 2024 or July 2026?

Hello, So I received this in the mail. I submitted 2 forms of I-864. Since I don't work or have any income, I made my brother the joint Sponsor for my husband. Now I want to know whose information do they need? Mine or my brothers? I personally submitted everything they ask for in the letter the first time. I don't know why they are asking for it again. Since I am unemployed I put 0 for my total income. I did not file for taxed in the last 2 years.

What should I do please?

Hi Everybody,

We will have the interview late March but wife can not (therefore kids) fulfill vaccine requirements due her religious and moral convictions. I have no problem, already fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and am willing to receive any other required vaccines during the medical exam. We will definitely file I-601 after our interview but a few questions as follows.

1- Can we file one single I-601 for my wife and kids ? Or do we need to file them separately ?

2- Do I still have a chance to get my GC after the interview as being the principal applicant ,
