    Understood. He does have a 5 year bar, and now that you mention it I remember when he was given the 221(g) he was given the pink slip and at the bottom it was checked saying he had a right to waiver, probably because we are married and him being in Turkey puts our family in hardship ... but I couldn't find much information online and figure since there was a right to waiver that the AP was essentially the "waiver"

    No.. was this necessary? I researched this topic quite a lot and did my best to "become fluent" with the immigration process and I don't believe I have come across this form.

    July 2021 we married sept 2021 and applied dec 2021. all of our documents were being accepted left and right, and they were even going fast according to normal so we thought the deportation wasn't affecting our case.. but back in September 2023 he went for his interview and got the pink slip 😢

    not exactly clear... he listed the us many times before being randomly stopped and sent back... the deportation papers don't say exactly why they sent him back, but it was clear they thought he was going to over stay his tourist visa (he had 4 previous trips to the US with no issue at all) ...not that that consular officer said they refused because of the deportation, just that everything was fine until the topic came up and he was handed back everything with the 221(g)

    Hey! I am in a similar situation, my husband has been waiting for 6 months in AP. Did your case get resolved? How long did it take to get resolved?

    Hey y'all has anyone had any luck contacting the Ankara embassy after being in administrative processing for 6 months? My husband was refused a visa six months ago due to a previous deportation issue but we've been trying to contact the embassy for sometime with just radio silence... We contacted our congressman to ask for an update and even then they gave his office the wrong information and what not but not much noise otherwise. Has anyone been able to actually get their IR1 visa after more than 6 months?
