US Immigration from Thailand

Hello folks,

Looking for some advice and resources to make a future decision. Looked over the forum, but didn't find exactly what I was looking for.

First, some background . . .

My wife and her younger daughter came to USA on K-1/K-2 visas two years ago. Everything went smoothly, and now we are finishing up the I-751 removal of conditions filing. So, my wife can (presumably) file for N-400 Citizenship in 2022 if she wants to.

I was previously under the mistaken idea that her only option to bring her 28 y.o. unmarried daughter (still in Thailand) to the USA was to obtain citizenship and file an for an F1 visa. But I recently became aware of the F2b visa option for current Permanent Residents.

So the basic question is if there is any advantages in filing for an F2B now, or waiting (presumably) about 1.5 years from now for citizenship and filing for an F1 visa?

Any difference in wait times until they are in the USA with either method? Any other significant differences in the benefits of F1 vs. F2b?

Any links to resources for wait times, etc. would be appreciated!

29March2021 received I-797 advising removal of conditions was approved and 10 year green card will be sent within 60 days.
7 months from start to finish.

I have a question for the group looking for Tax advice. We married in 2019 and I filed Single instead of Married filing Seperately or Joint. By filing Joint I will get back about 11,000. I haven't done my taxes yet this year but expect it to be significantly better filing married joint. Our application has been DQ'd 12/16/2020 and it looks like my wife could be here around June based on others being processed in Bangkok. Would it be better to file a W7 requesting an ITIN for my wife and daughter or file an extension and wait for the SSN to be issued when their visas are granted? I know this isn't directly Visa related but it definitely affects lots of us here.

Can the required two years of visit together be waived due to covid19? We were together three years ago talk every day for five years but we re unable to be together due to covid. We were also. Afraid to file our K-1 visa until the vaccine was available. I intend to go to Thailand to bring my fianc and her grandson to the USA immediately upon approval. I also intend to adopt her grandson.

Got the email today my I-130 for my step daughter has been approved. Now heading to the NVC. Couple more fees and an interview and one long flight.
