K1 Visa previous deportation from Korea

I am a petitioner for my fiance's K1 Visa from Thailand. We recently received NOA2 and i am waiting for our case number from NVC. My biggest concern is that my. fiance was previously deported from South Korea for overstaying her visa and she is blacklisted permanently from Korea. I consulted with a Visa agency in Thailand and they informed me that while a deportation is not a crime of moral turpitude, it does show a tendency to not follow laws and regulations and could result in a visa denial. I had hoped that since the K1 visa shows immigrant intent, a previous immigration violation in Korea wouldn't matter. Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Any advice would be much appreciated

I started a new topic cause im not sure of where to put it. So for the moderators feel free to move it if necessarygrandfather passed

My current status is NOA1 May filer an the ISCIS is currently working the May files an starting the June 2022 filers. An i had a few questions concerning how to go about getting my step kids to the US...

1- I have 3 step kids one is is going to be 19 an she is attending the University here in Thailand so she has decided to stay here in Bangkok. I have one who is 12 an she will be going with us when we leave and will be attending the interview with my fiance. I have one that is 10 who will be staying behind and following us with in the year (maybe) cause he is currently staying with his grandfather. An all 3 are on our I-129F form because the original intent was to bring them all home at the same time..

A. So my question is do i have to file a DS-160 for my 19yro step daughter who is on the I-129F but staying behind to attend collage in Bangkok? She will not be coming until after graduation..

B. Do i have to file a DS-160 for my 10yro step son who will be following us with in a year an does he have to attend the interview with my fianc ?

C. If for some reason my step son doesn't follow us within the 1 year period what happens to his status? (This might happen if my fianc decides to let him stay here with his grandfather who is 75

D. If my 10yro step son's status does change do i have to file a I-130 (im assuming)...?

E. Will or can the process (I-130) be expedited because he is a minor who if he is still here will have nobody to care for him except his older sister..? This would mean his grandfather would have passed..

Hello everyone. I have a question about a required document for my fiancee.

She has finally received her interview date for her K1 Visa.

One of the required documents she must bring with her is the single status certificate.

My question is do I need to obtain one as well for her to bring to the interview with her or is that entirely for her. She is from Thailand and I am a U.S. citizen

I've never even heard of such a document.

Thanks for your time.

Have some specific I-129F questions.

My Fiance is from Thailand

Questions;

1. I have been married before. On Part 1 question 38a. they ask for "Name of Previous Spouse"? for Family Name do I provide her Maiden name or her married name which is my last name?

2. Part 1 question 43, Have you ever filed !-129F for any other beneficiary? I marked "Yes" as I've been married before and this prior wife I applied for and was granted a K1 Visa and Green Card. Is "Yes" the correct answer? If yes where do I find her "Alien" number? How do I find "Date of Filing"? Especially since I have no contact with her. I do have a copy front and back of her green card.

3. Part 2 question 62 "Your beneficiary will apply for a visa abroad at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at: My Petitioner is from Thailand so would Bangkok Thailand be correct or would it be somewhere in the U.S.?

Thank you in advance

K1 Fiance Visa, Does the country of departure matter?

Hi all,

My fiance have been very lucky and her k1 Fiance Visa has finally been issued. From the I29F to issuance it took around 2 years.

Our question is, does the country of departure matter when going into the USA?

My fiance's visa was issued by the Bangkok embassy but she is Filipino. We applied for the Bangkok embassy as she is working in Thailand.

She is looking to go back to the Philippines first to visit family and then from there depart for the United States. Does she have to depart to the US from Thailand since Bangkok US Embassy was the one that issued the visa?
